Those 2 GB/CHI games in '86 were the most intense, violent, & ego-filled games that i've ever seen played by those teams since I started watching pro football back 1977. Gregg & Ditka were bitter ego-maniacs who did everything they could to get under each others skins during game week & that certainly got the players riled up as well. They talked smack in the papers, the GB secondary wore long, white towels & wrote a hit-list of the players they wanted to knock out, late hits, penalties......

Sometimes I wonder if Forest Gregg came back to the Packers only so he could exact revenge on all the dirty play the Bears inflicted under Halas back in his day.
