He did not cheat at all really, aside from using the dupe.

But given enough attempts, sooner or later the stairs would all spawn exactly where they need to be, and akara would sell all of the right books in a minimal amount of reloads.

It's only a matter of time before he did this without the edits :P This video just saves him years of his life waiting for it

You might aswell use hacks to make yourself godmode as you are cheating anyway. Cheating is not permitted when doing speedruns.

no, 'no cheating' is a restriction that may be placed on a speedrun. it's not an restriction that all (in fact most) speedruns adhere to.

that means he's totally allowed to use any game-breaking glitches to speed up the run and luck manipulation to make use of highly improbable scenarios as long as he doesn't start using third-party programs to change the game's behavior.

Many people got banned from wow by exploiting game bugs for their own advantage. Yep they lost all their characters + 200 euros worth acc that they invested on. Why? Because it's cheating. So using 3rd party progs or game bugs as advantage = Cheating no matter what you say. Do speedrun legit and then it's worth something.

The stairs are like that as a given, read the speed run info from speed demons.

The stairs starting off next to your level was a possibility. this takes into consideration multiple loads to try and get them there

OK this doesn't count because it is impossible to get each and every level where the stairs are next to each other, but I do have to complement you on your duplicating skills. I remember spending crazy amounts of time trying to get cash and spell books :P

I also defeated diablo with a sorcerer, but I ended up using a sword and shield to kill him in the end.

Okay then, I'll spell this out for you DUMBSHITS.

The reason he doesn't lose any health is because of MANA SHIELD. With manashield, damage you take is absorbed through mana. Its got a ratio of about 1 point of damage per two points of mana, so he used this spell to make a tank out of himself so he could go toe to toe with Diablo.

At the end, when he took damage, he already threw a killing blow and was hit by Diablo at the same time.

And for him having max stats at the end, he leveled up.
