  • In Loving Memory Al Davis 1929-2011

One of the most important individuals ever associated with the National Football League.

Al, you were a tremendous person and may you rest in peace.

  • take pride be proud just win baby

  • pats are winning this year!!!

  • Gumble is an Uncle Tom

  • why? Because is educated, and speaks English well. How awful. What is it like, to be dying of jealously?

  • @cw1310 LOL. It's probably the same feeling that Eagles fans go through each year. All Hype, all talk, no Super Bowl Championship.

  • JUST WIN BABY!

  • Al Davis looks young as hell.

  • no kiddin this was 30 years ago

  • Wrong Pete. The Raiders was the 1st wild card team in post merger super bowl(since jan. 1971)era to win title.

The 1969 KC Chiefs was the 'wild card' to win the super bowl.

  • @USAGiant There were no Wild Cards in 1969, in either the NFL or the AFL. In fact, the Chiefs won the AFL championship outright.

I don't know what you are talking about.

  • @rayjr62 Look it up. The Chiefs did not win the AFL west in 1969 season. The word 'wild card' came for the non-division winner after the merger in 1970. Although the term did not exist, the Chiefs were techincally the first wild card (non division)super bowl champion.

  • @USAGiant The Chiefs won the AFL Title in 1969 beating really good teams, i.e the Super Bowl Champion Jets in NY in the Divisional round and the Raiders in Oakland, Calif. in the AFC championship game.

Then they beat the Vikings in super bowl in last pre-merger AFL/NFL Championship game.

KC again RayJr.62 did not win the AFL(Now AFC west)West regular season division title.

So I do know what I am talking about.

  • AL DAVIS will raise his arms again before its all said and done...RAIDER NATION

  • Al is perfectly oily....

  • Awesome, good stuff.

  • Go RAIDERS!!!

  • Us old-school Raider fans know how bittersweet this was, considering we knew King Al was in the middle of suing the city and very much indeed planning to move our boys to LA.What more can I say?

  • Wow. What a great video. I wasnt born when this happened but im a diehard Raider fan and ive neer seen this. Thanks a lot.

Check out my Raider videos on my channel

  • Back0Pack back again huh, well i saw this one, it was my 1st super bowl i watched, at the age of 2

  • I think this was the last Super Bowl to be ever played during the daytime.

  • No, this was definitely at night. I remember it all too friggin' well! The '87 Redskins/Broncos Super Bowl was the last daytime one.

  • LOL...that's not right either. All the games in San Diego start in the daytime...the kickoff is around 320pm Pacific Standard Time. Just like the Packers/Broncos and the Raiders/Bucs. The last game to begin and end during the day was Super Bowl XI, between the Raiders and Vikings. Super Bowl XII between Dallas and Denver was the first prime time game. They have all been prime time ever since

  • Great Job by Tom Flores and AL Davis for winning the Super Bowl in 1981, but they had to escape -36 degree weather in Cleveland thanks to Red Right 88.

  • Oh, cause at the end of the clip, we see a sunset.

  • WOW! How the mighty have fallen...

  • WE WILL WIN AGAIN!!!

  • Glad you do. And hopefully you'll still be here so that it KILLS YOU!

  • @TheReason77 HELL YEA THE RAIDERS WILL WIN AGAIN

  • Sorry Mr. Rozelle. The KC Chiefs of 1969(winning 1970 super bowl vs Vikings)was the first 'wild card' to win the grand prize.

The 1980 Raiders was the first wild card in modern NFL era since 1970 merger to win super bowl.

  • you are correct but it was still the afl and the nfl

  • rip gene upshaw
