I feel that most sports were born in a similar way that parkour was but The more people that did it the more people that didn't really understand the meaning behind it, making the sport all about physic and looks. I think that when wer're kids we understand it better because we play sports because its fun but somehow along the way sports became this big industry rather than community, taking fun and creativity out of the equation of life.
I am not a great traceur. Heck I probably suck compared to most people ,but Parkour has introduced me to some amazing people, has got me in a great mood ,wanting to help others instead of squander in my misery ,it has made me healthy ,and has helped me conquer so many fears...and it all started by me trying to vault a rail to get away from a disease that has plagued my family since and falling. I have not fallen near as hard as I ever did that day mentally or psychically.
it isn't the "live today, tomorow is unknown" stuff, nor the parkour that impresses me. but the sincerity and the passion of this guy is truly inspiring, and that makes this a great video.
Just read Daniel's interview in the Jump magazine, and I was completely blown away with what he shares in that and in this video...so much respect for him his philosophy. It's so logical, yet it seems really not that many people have touched on it; just to appreciate and live in every moment.
So inspired to just train, and get out there and just live life to the fullest :)
@shargon1111 i havent broke anything but got Extremly hurt doing some stuff when that happens i condition other parts of my body while the one body part is healing (when i do parkour i feel soo great so im not going to let an injury stop it for me)
Video's like this, it just shows so much passion, and such pure reason behind why traceurs do what they do.
You get out there, and it's the one thing in your life you can control. You set your goals, and you push yourself, you get there, you have fun, and you move the way you want, not how anyone else wants you to.
Daniel Ilabaca is my idol when it comes to parkour because you can see him having fun, and you see his passion in it.
parkour was actually "invented" and mastered by samurai assassins/spies in japan, (or the popular name today would be "ninja") to stealthy infiltrate enemy territories ? i actually just made all that up, but it could make sense!
I LOVE THIS VIDEO <3 IV'E WHATCH'D THIS VIDEO ABOUT 150 TIMES AND IM NOT SICK OFF IT, I GUES IT'S BECHOUSE HE IS SO RIGHT AND HE'S SO GOOD, YOU CANT CHOOSE NOT TO FALL IN TILL YOU TESTED YOUR LIMET, AND SO MANY KIDS THAT WANNA DO IT THING'S IT'S JUST ABOUT SHOWING OFF OR TRY'ING THE MOST RECKLESS TING'S, IT'S SO GOOD OFF HIM TO TELL PEOPL WHAT PARKOUR IS ABOUT BEFORE WE LOSE IT AND DO IT FOR MONEY OR COMPITITON, LOVE THIS VD <3 <3
Its so true because yesterday I was walking past a building and I do parkour and I saw a way to get up there I don't live in a place were I can do much parkour so I wanted to do it but, I kept coming up for excuses why I shouldn't when I got where I was going I was disappointed that I missed the chance because truthfully I was scared today I went there and went and go on top I was happy startled and amazed all at the same time I think threw that and watching this video I understand that I don't
I'm happy when i fall...I feel the pain but you don't die...I think a fall hurt but i normally don't fall more than once in one day so the fall is over why am i scared of falling?? i don't die you always can stand up again and try it again...everyone is scared of something...but when i have no clue of how to do things i don't do them...I love this video Parkour changed my life, many of my friends is bored everyday and I'm just simply moving my body I'm not bored everyday because i live life
confidence isnt gained over time in practice, its gained when you realize that you choose your own path......you choose to fall - you choose not to fall ! one love ! :D
Now many people think parkour is a type of show. And sometimes they say like "this is boring" "Let's do a somersault," etc. They do not want to admit that they do not understand parkour in its current washed away. Must engage in parkour for what would develop the physical and spiritual qualities. It is an art and comprehend only those who look at life differently, who have the imagination
I liked this video until he brought God into it. It'll turn off a lot of people. But people shouldn't necesarilly be turned away by that. This was a good video.
Parkour/free running/freeflow/etc....gymnastics reject who couldn't make it to the olympics....now the kids watching this will get all motivated and most will break some or all their limbs trying these moves....some will survive and get amazingly good....then the cycle will continue with countless kids getting seriously injured and only some making it to "the big time"....
@tastyhotmama is it gay because you cant do it? or is it gay because your dads do it? parkour is an art a lifestyle what makes you so much better that you can judge someone because the way they live their life? if your life is so shitty that you get a kick outa hating and getting lots of comments towards your youtube then why dont you try it or better yet find something your good at.
Walters, Belle and other famous streetrunners are making money from what they are doing, but Daniel is training for fun with his friends to find the freedom something very unique and special in nowdays and i think he has get already get it, this is the goal of parkour, have fun and be free of everything
that is so true you do choose not to fall some people who do fall lack the confidence to say hey i can to this i choose not to fall and they dont, they succeed at the jump and the succeed at being a Tresus or a Tresuer (sorryi dont know how to spell those) and thats practically what Parkour is its confidence do you have enough confidence in yourself to make this jump and if you do u choose not to fall and you dont :)
Thank you for explaining how Parkour has helped you. I get frustrated when I hear Damian or Belle say Parkour has no real purpose. It does and I just couldn't put it in words. But you do. Great! Can't imagine being stoned and doing Parkour. Keep going!
its so true that imagination and creativity has been lost, schools and all KILL IT OFF the way the system is, but the genius men and women that bring us forward and make us understand the world, like Einstein ALWAYS SAY Imagination and creativity is much more important than the math and just the INFORMATION, real understanding is creativity. and its so true that the internet, and GAMING has saved our world.

I had some problems and bad moments this year. I lost my girlfriend like 10 months ago. But she was just like you. Always happy, always friendly, always positive. You changed my life, just as she did. And i'm so thankfull for life and its opportunities. Thank you Danny, thank you...
kids play video games to achieve. its in the humans nature to want to achieve. but this achieving leads to horrible addictions and in the process the player becomes unhealthy and just sad D: but parkour ,parkour is the greatest thing that has ever happened to the human race because it gives you hope and makes you want to set goals to achieve to fulfill your goal is like becoming a king because that great feeling you get when you finally make it is always worth it.
@telekinovice Not at all.... Parkour is healthy, gaming is healthy. mentally or physically, whatever u want, ofc mental is most important. They both are art forms, creativity saved. People dont only play games to achieve, its to feel and live and just imagine, create, fantasize! It has saved many people from what is called here "the mold". And it will save billions more, the ONLY people who can speak down on it are the few people who dont profit of it (hollywood haha).
I've actually met this dude in Liverpool, I'm a skateboarding, but I try to Do as much Parkour (Freerunning) As I can on a day to day basis, in the street, or if I need to get to somewhere, faster than it would be on a bike, car, bus or walking along the roads. Parkour is an amazing Sport, and shows what Humans are capable of, It is such an amzing thing and truly amazes people in such ways it can change their lives for ever. It takes confidence to jump from a roof. But you need to live.
im 16.... i believe he is right.. i do play most games because i dont have to worry about the difficulty to achieve in somthing important when i could be playing a game where all i do is achieve.
@TheHiddenTruth100 i'm afraid to live life mostly cause im beaten on a daily basis by people been bullied all my life only way i can connect with ppl is through the computer
@tosse006 then arent you really living? knowing that you can feel and knowing that there is something you can overcome and rise up against something that makes you mad and something that scares you something that you can say stop to and something that you can say no, knowing you have thoughts and if you can only connect with people through the computer then that is wasting a life that shouldnt be wasted get out and dare to exceed your limit surprise yourself with any
@TheHiddenTruth100 talents that need discovery cause right now your falling and the ground is coming quick what are you going to do about it? roll? or give in?
@tosse006 the bully's always lose because they will have serious issues, to need to bully you to feel power/in control. go out, find friends, go to other places, go and train - ive never met anyone through parkour who isnt a nice person. if your afraid to go out and find support, it wont come to you. it is there you just have to find yourself before you can go forward. people will support you, don think your alone. if some random guy (me) bothered to write this, you can find yourself with others
@AsianInvasion760 it doesnt matter if you like one better then another its whatever touches someone/you and changes your life positively, that one quote that inspires someone/you to become more then you could think of yourself and more anyone could think of you
desmond's cousin lol, I hate it when I try to parkour and people mistake me for a monkey, I don't know why people mock free runners as monkeys when free-runners have much more acrobatic skills then those lazy ass people who think everything is childish or stupid..
@ColdHeartTV ya i get that alot too. Sometime they even say "what with u stupid!?" but who care we run becau we love it. Risk u life to feel something still better than just old normal boring day life.
@MrChochse If you want it translated into afghan all he said was DURKA DURKA DURKA, DURKA DURKA. DURKA, DURKA DURKA DURKA! DURKA DURKA DURKA ? DURKA DURKA DURKA.
hi we are three boys who love parkour and we have a new video out now A DAY LIKE LIFE.
plc se it!!!!
btw lovd the video thanks this video says somthing about what so meny tracurs over the world do to find them self tro parkour and they did we can all do
@BattlefeildBrother before i learned about parkour i was horriblly depressed and i like yo think that parkour is one of the reasons that i never killed myself
@BattlefieldBrother The way you think when training can easily interpret into your real life. For example, you see a jump that's risky because it has a large gap under it, but is not a difficult precision as a jump itself. And you're scared to try it. During your time spent looking at the jump and walking on both sides of it to make sure everything is stable, you gain confidence, as Danny stated in the video. You lose your fear, and finally manage the jump. Confidence transfers to your all life.
@jamesbond9600 i know its negative man sorry im just saying i dont think i would have the guts to do the kinds of jumps hes doing i never parkoured before it looks so much fun im just starting to learn about it
There is no such thing as the "best" traceur. Parkour isn't about being the best. It's about learning new things and pushing your limits, while learning from other traceurs and teaching them something as well.
I am 13 an i trein parkour and i know is fun and dangerous and i'm prepared for the worst thumb up if you think that true if you want see my videos !!
come on, stop chosing the best traceur, or the one who has the most spirit of parkour. I bet the best traceur, doesn't record himself. He enters one day a week to internet, and watch some videos for inspiration. He is just doing parkour somewhere in the world. He cares about nothing, and no one knows him.
I kept trying to improve my balance, walking on this small rail at a normal speed, on my right was this large drop and then a lake, on my right was the concrete on the bridge and a decent drop. Every time I would fall and then catch myself after just a couple of steps, but because of Daniel Ilabaca, instead of going for a few steps, I went for the whole thing, I chose to, and that removed the fear, and I didnt fall either, I went the entire way across on that small rail, because I wasnt afraid.
you never become a ''master'' in parkour. even people like danny or david belle dont consider themself as superior or as masters they keep improving all the time. becoming a master means that you have to complete ALL goals you have and this is impossible since you always have new goals in life.
this video teaches people to live for what makes them happy and i think its sad that our world has gone from peace and love and the feeling of being outside into war hatred and the lack of creativity people have now
most inspiring video i have ever watched. This is probaly should be in those videos that inspire kids to do what they like and to never give up. I know it inspired me and even though i still do parkour this makes me want to stride to push forward and do just as Daniel does. I hope you all take something from this parkour <33333
I feel that most sports were born in a similar way that parkour was but The more people that did it the more people that didn't really understand the meaning behind it, making the sport all about physic and looks. @tosse006 then arent you really living? knowing that you can feel and knowing that there is something you can overcome and rise up against something that makes you mad and something that scares you something that you can say stop to and something that you can say no, knowing you have thoughts and if you can only connect with people through the computer then that is wasting a life that shouldnt be wasted get out and dare to exceed your limit surprise yourself with any
TheHiddenTruth100 1 month ago
@TheHiddenTruth100 talents that need discovery cause right now your falling and the ground is coming quick what are you going to do about it? roll? or give in?
TheHiddenTruth100 1 month ago
@tosse006 the bully's always lose because they will have serious issues, to need to bully you to feel power/in control. go out, find friends, go to other places, go and train - ive never met anyone through parkour who isnt a nice person. if your afraid to go out and find support, it wont come to you. it is there you just have to find yourself before you can go forward. people will support you, don think your alone. if some random guy (me) bothered to write this, you can find yourself with others

@TheHiddenTruth100 I like that, but I prefer "To fear death, is to limit life." - Anonymous.

ColdHeartTV 2 months ago
@ColdHeartTV ya i get that alot too. Sometime they even say "what with u stupid!?" but who care we run becau we love it. Risk u life to feel something still better than just old normal boring day life.

BattlefieldBrother 2 months ago
@BattlefieldBrother The way you think when training can easily interpret into your real life. For example, you see a jump that's risky because it has a large gap under it, but is not a difficult precision as a jump itself. And you're scared to try it. During your time spent looking at the jump and walking on both sides of it to make sure everything is stable, you gain confidence, as Danny stated in the video. You lose your fear, and finally manage the jump. Confidence transfers to your all life.

@BattlefieldBrother it allows you to be free and break the mold of everyday society.

There is no such thing as the "best" traceur. Parkour isn't about being the best. It's about learning new things and pushing your limits, while learning from other traceurs and teaching them something as well.

Daniel Ilabaca is a frerunner not a traceur!!!!

come on, stop chosing the best traceur, or the one who has the most spirit of parkour.

Parkour, feels good when you're the master, but is pain and blood when you're practicing.
x2TruNation 3 months ago
@x2TruNation
what do you mean?
you never become a ''master'' in parkour. even people like danny or david belle dont consider themself as superior or as masters they keep improving all the time. becoming a master means that you have to complete ALL goals you have and this is impossible since you always have new goals in life.

this video teaches people to live for what makes them happy and i think its sad that our world has gone from peace and love and the feeling of being outside into war hatred and the lack of creativity people have now

most inspiring video i have ever watched. This is probaly should be in those videos that inspire kids to do what they like and to never give up. I know it inspired me and even though i still do parkour this makes me want to stride to push forward and do just as Daniel does. I hope you all take something from this parkour <33333
