I wish we got trucks like that here in the states. I know gm rebadges these truck elsewhere in the world but we still don't get the diesel version. We have the colorado. But it's not that good of a truck. And everything gm touches just makes it worse!!
Dont buy this car, you will ruin yourselves on service and repairs, I work in a Car parking company, and we use this car as our means to get around the airport we are located at, and there is always something wrong, either with the 4x4 system (doesnt work so you only have rear-wheel drive during the winter) makes it alot harder to drag people out of the snow etc.
engine lamp is always flashing, the lights are shit, turning ratio is shit, heater never works and the list goes on, sotake my word.
At our dealership we sell these like crazy and the only problem is with the quake in Japan we are not able to stock on service parts but the pickups works just fine not a single major complaint about them
Tell me? Why are Jap trucks so fucking small. I guess it's because They have smaller cocks than americans too. These trucks barely have enough power to pull their own ass. Try a Ford or Dodge next time. Better power, Better looking, more comfortable, and will last way longer than these gay ass jap "trucks".
@pantsiosk but in capabilitys the ISUZU D-MAX is far more better than d nissan navara...put the engine of the Navara in the D-max and it will be the BEST pickup!
@nikooliver1 The Nissan Navara produces 400 Nm torque only at 2000 rpm only. Below that, it can't climb anything. The DMax rpoduces 360 Nm and distribute it widely from 1800 rpm to 3000 rpm. It can climb anything even at 1400 rpm. We have these two trucks, including a 3-litre Toyota Hilux in the underground mine i've worked for in Spain. The Navara is the poorest performing offroader of them all, because of its turbo lag and poor distribution of peak torque, while and the best is the Isuzu DMax
Cyprus is a country with alot of pickups. At the end of the day cars are tested by their durability.. You see on the streets 80s isuzu still going some having 1 million miles on them. you dont see navaras or mitsubishis that old.. even though their are beeing advertised as having a thousand torque and beeing a beast

Euros know more what they want. And yet, this statement is coming from a guy who grew up in an American-influenced society (Philippines). And that is me. Now, having worked in Europe, i saw the difference between the Yanks and the Euros. Euros are more adaptable, they think more independently, they are more creative (whether it be fashion or engineering or science). Unlike the Yanks, I like the idea that they (Euros) cater more for diesel-fed cars than gasoline cars.
@dtkiko But at consumer report and jd power, american technologies have higher points from reliability. I agree with you european cars are much complecated than japanese and maericans but they are not that much reliable.
@uniquesten How come Euro cars are more complicated (specifically pick-up trucks) when they are just around 2-litre/ 2.5-litre/ and 3-litre variants (mid-size) direct-diesel injections consuming around 14 km/litre (33 miles per US gallon)? Your Yankee-doodle pick up trucks, in comparo, should be fully-pumped V6 to V8 vroom vroom guzzling petrol-type where one would feel very lucky enough to get 17 miles per US gallon mileage....
Torque-wise, diesel engines are more efficient (you don't need to wring out the necks from these smaller-size pickups that the Yanks considers to get the torque you need). They are also more fuel-efficient. And advanced research on direct-injection VGT-equipped diesels able to comply to the stiff Euro 3 and Euro 4 emissions standards, is just amazing. The diesel frontier of internal combustion is far from exhausted.
@uniquesten european people want economy...........they thinking to travel as fast they can with lower price of gas......i have a vw passat 1,6 litre engine and needs 7,6 litre/ 100 km......
@uniquesten Euro knows more what they want than Yanks do.... These diesel-direct types (specifically those with dual-stage turbos and variable-valve geometry turbochargers) produce far cleaner emission standards (Euro 3 to Euro 5) than your gasoline-fed guzzler pick-up trucks. With your petrol-fed pick-ups, you need to rev them even more (4000 rpm up) to get even 3/4 of the peak torque that the diesel ones are producing even at low and wider-range rpms (1400 rpm to 3400 rpm).
@uniquesten That's why diesel-feds are more fuel efficient and more reliable (lesser stress/ strain in the engine ---- because of that low and wider rpm range where they produce their peak torque trnslating to leeser staring into the engine). The US pick up trucks are just selling in the US BECAUSE nobody else in the world wants them.... perhaps the Yanks are the ones who doesn't really know about trucks, not the Euros....
it was Australian 4x4 action magazines 2009 ute of the year witch i would agree with because i own a RA Rodeo witch is practically the same apart from the badge and i love the thing better than my old mans 2009 hilux witch iv taken out on a couple of tracks. but what thy need is more after market parts such as lift kits there is only one made that i know of and it is a 2" lift from snakeracing.

u can get a Left-Hand Drive 3.0 Liter Isuzu D-Max Extended Cab for $30,000, including shipping (Container, so u don't get dings or scratches). It's cheaper than a luxury Toyota Tacoma.

yea its seriosly down on power even the 3.0d. i guess they are going for fuel economy... if only the navarra engine was in the d-max. the d-max is a good looking truck.
We have the Isuzu D-Max in Australia - however we don't get the 2.5 litre intercooled turbo-diesel that Europe gets... we get the more powerful 3 litre intercooled turbo-diesel
Yeah... Not to mention the global warming issues and it's relationship with bigger engines (Well... with engines of all sizes, of course, but you know what I mean). Why having a big monster under the hood when a small engine (and a very efficient one, I must say) can do the same job? What if it takes it 2 more seconds to reach the same speed than a bigger one? What's the rush?
I love Isuzu engines. They're very efficient and reliable.
In Europe are the most Pickups eqiped with smaller engines, 2.5 Litre 4 zylinders.... we have to fill our cars with gas or diesel for about 1,50 Euro per LITRE !!! not like in USA... where all complain about 4 dollars per GALLON...
that's not saying much. All the trucks over here are built for men who are compensating for something. We need some real trucks over here like the d-max and hilux.
@bord124 american pick-ups have big unsofisticated engines. european and japanese engines are much smaller and more gas/diesel effecient because of the high gas/diesel prices.
and there is the fact that a diesel engine has MUCH more torque than a comparable gasengine.
a modern 3.0 or even a 2.5 ltr dieselengine is more than sufficient for a midsized pick up. It can be loaded with 1 tonne en tow another 3 tonnes.
