i wouldnt call the Wristband muting technique cheating....unless you're playing live...thats just pathetic if you do (no offense if you do)
its a great recording method if you want to play a solo in a certain key and dont want to be tempted to move the key around if you just want that ONE key for a solo =]
i use it for recording but i can play it without muting the strings...it makes everything easier =]

great job man, just try and play it without the "muters" at the top of the neck. That is how it is played :) I know how difficult it is to dampen the strings and to keep everything quiet, but, it looks better, and, it is good practice for that kind of stuff (tapping and muting, yo) Happy Tapping!!!
