Entirely true. We did a unit on stereotypes in one of my classes on anthropology, psychology, sociology and an experiment was done on labeling. When children were labeled the "boss" everyone did significantly better than those labeled "helper."

This im sure was created to address the fact that a lot of Black American's cannot directly identify with their ancestory. This is a big issue and is very sad because a lot of people canin fact identify with their culture, but choose not to.
