  • Amazing job! I'm doing this for Solo & Ensemble in a couple weeks and looking for references like my choir director suggested ;)

She instructed me to look for different musical "interpretations" (cresendo, decresendo, etc) and mix in my own.

    This helped loads! :D

    Again, amazing job

  • I'm doing this one, too! This and Piercing Eyes =3 YAY FOR TU LO SAI!!!

  • very pretty ,but do not forget that all good gifts come from God.

  • That was truly beautiful! I love how clear your voice is. :) Good job!

I'm working on this piece in my voice lessons, and I absolutely love it!

  • i was listening to this song along with the music n u hit every single note which is extremely impressive considering the ornaments n decorations, congratulations u have a wonderful voice

  • thank you! I really appreciate that :)

  • I had to sing this song in voice class for a solo. I loved it.

  • I'm doing this song for a Solo & Ensemble peice. I love this! I hope I can sing it that well :)

  • this is veery beautiful im going to sing this for a choir consert. any tips to this song?

  • i've never heard the song with those decorations, but i love it! & i love the brightness of your voice.

just be careful of a few italian pronunciations. like "e poi" the "e" should be like "eh".

  • actually according several pronunciation guides its more of a closed e [e] as opposed to an open e [E], tho ur right, with italian its better to keep it on the brighter side n a tad bit more open than if u were to speak it, but just letting u kno why she probably pronounced it like that

  • beautiful!!! i luv the song and your voice is beautiful! :)

  • that was beautiful! i want to sing this piece for my school district's solo/ensemble festival.

  • good job.. it sounds so amazing..

  • Absolutly beautiful ^_^ My voice teacher is going to have to teach me this song.

  • Thank you!!! It is such a simple, yet gorgeous song :)

  • so is this from the original Schirmer's book or is it from that purple book edited by John paton? I followed the music while you sang and all the ornamentations are the suggested ones in the purple book, lol. AWESOME JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very beautiful. :)

You've got a nice voice and good tone quality. It's sweet sounding.

    Oh, and...nice vibrato. :]

  • i'm learning this song to try out for all state choir in missouri :)

  • thanx for this VDO.

I sang this song for audition and i got accepted.

    you are wonderful.

  • Thank you so much!! You all are so kind :)

  • haha im learning this song =]

  • How did you get a pretty picture on this video?!?

  • I love how proffessionaly this is presented! It definately showcases your voice.

  • touched ma heart--lol ya rite!!!

  • Beautiful.

  • That was beautiful! And just the way I learned it, too. I don't know what copy you have, FatherofGray, but there is an optional staff system above the original and that is where all of the embellishments came from. Exactly the way the song was written. Great job! :3

  • pretty good, but your syllable spacing is a little weird in some spaces.

    Your ornaments are nice.

  • very very good!

  • This is beautiful, but this is not the way Giuseppe Torelli wrote this song. At least this is not the way or tempo I learned this song at. It sounds like you added a lot of embellishments and scoops to it that I just don't agree with. I'm not saying its bad, you have a wonderful voice, it's just not the way the song is written.

  • I purchased a collection of Italian Art Songs and Arias that has several bars of alternate ways to sing the aria. What she is singing sounds very similar to some of the editor's markings in my collection.

  • First, let me say that this is beautiful! I loved listening to it. Second, FatherOfGray, I couldn't disagree more. Recapitulated arias aren't supposed to be exactly the same both times...the way that it's written in most books. You add in what you feel shows not only yourself off, but also the piece. It's supposed to be unique.

I love what you did here! I think it's wonderful!

  • Wow, thank you! I actually followed the suggested extra embellishments written in the John Paton edition, and I think they're really fun and beautiful! Thank you so much for your comment, you made my day! :)

  • See! I'm jealous! I had to come up with my own...ohhh well! lol

  • alot of the counting seems to be off.

  • Great interpretation of the aria. So far, your recording of it is the best one on Youtube.

  • Beautiful voice!

  • absolutley magnificent, i have never heard this song sung so well

  • This is absolutely beautiful! My favorite version here by far. I was just assigned this piece in my vocal repertoire class and your interpretation is inspiring!

  • This is great =)
