He may not have been the main songwriter for DOTN but he was the lead guitarist. He wrote his parts, most of which carried the songs. But if you listen to this song you'll realize who the main writer for Tantric was. Hugo is an amazing singer but Todd was Tantric.

@MagCynic Wrong!!! Travis Meeks took their music by himself , to pheonix hill taverns, and did an acoustic set by himself. I think it was Joan jet that happened to be there and liked travis and had him signed to a lable. Todd and the rest of the band had no clue. Travis did not wright all the songs himself he sold them out. Gaining himself the rights to all of tantrics music.

That's the great thing about his music and his songwriting. He's got such an amazing foundation to stand on, he's not all caught up in formula song writing. he knows it can be done outside the norm and work quite well.

I prefer the orginal lineup over the new one because of Todd's stellar guitar work and backup vocals. The new album is good but it lacks great guitar work and the backup vocals are weak. Hugo did a good job writing but with Todd's influence this could have been great. Todd's solo stuff is great he need to put out a solo album I think it would do great!

interchange is done for...Bruce LaFrance has a prior obligation to the band Nova Red, who is quickly gaining momentum, Tony (drummer) is still in college, and Todd will be getting married soon..The whole thing has been put on hold for now, if not for good.

it was tantrics vibe that made their sound..doesnt matter how heavy it is..thats why people almost universally rate the first album over the second, althoug AWG is awesome..todd wrote breakdown based on the dotn breakup, and A LOT of the first album also, so his experience and departure from the band had a lot to do with why many of us became tantric fans in the first place

Well actually Tantric is still a group,BUT,it's with 3 new guys,some from a band called Fosterchild,Hugo's still the singer...this was Todd's solo song,i thought he was just gonna be solo,but he's in a band called Interchange,and imho,this song is better than his songs in Interchange,it's just not what i was expecting,i was expecting something a little heavier like Tantric was,his new group is in the Powerpop category,but you can check them out if ya want.
