I admire the Japanese attempt to emulate English pop/rock and all their efforts("imitation is the most sincere form of flaterry"), but this doesn't even come close to a descent "copy". Surely, they didn't want to be taken seriously as a believable reproduction of the original; only their own "version". The Japanese are much more intellitent than that.

Spiders exist BECAUSE of the Beatles, as most of these Japanese bands from the 60s like the Tigers and the Carna-Beats. The Beatles are held in the highest esteem with all these bands. Yes, the Spiders shows included some comedy. They do the same stuff with their own songs, too. I think this is great entertainment with lots of energy and FUN! And the lead singer, Masaaki Sakai has a great voice.
