I get a kick out of this Verizon commercial using AT&T's blue spots to use as a play on words with the song "Blue X-Mas" by Elvis Presley showing that AT&T's coverage is so lousy that it could make any blue and/or get the holiday blues that you wouldn't have to worry about with Verizon.

I heard a report by consumer advisor Clark Howard that AT&T ranks on the bottom of consumers surveys for customer service and technical support. Version in fact is no. 1 with T-Mobile right behind them. AT&T is in fact no. 5. Pretty bad isn't it?

As much as I hate AT&T,.. 3G coverage is not everything. These ads depict AT&T as having NO coverage, which is completely false. AT&T has a huge 2G network that the iPhone uses as well. 3G is only 2x faster than 2G, and 2G is slow as balls. 3G is 2x faster than slow as balls, making it subpar at best. Also, 3G eats up tons of battery life in phones, so people tend to keep it turned off.

Verizon should just come out with an ad that says "PLEASE APPLE! GIVE US THE IPHONE!" lol

The ad shows "AT&T 3G Coverage" not "AT&T data coverage", so I believe the map accurately depicts what it says. But yes, smart ad design gives a perception that may be there is no coverage.

If 3G is "only 2x faster than 2G" I wonder why Apple went soooo crazy with iPhone "3G".

Well they're implying that you can't use any of the APPs without 3G coverage. And also look at the silent messages.. like the guy tapping his iPhone like it's not working. They're accurately depicting the 3G coverage, but they're being completely misleading as to what that entails.

Apple went "sooo crazy" with the iPhone 3G because the industry went "sooo crazy" for 3G coverage. There were reviews blasting the iPhone for "lack of 3G coverage" when it was first released. Apple just adapted.

The map on verizon's commercial is very wrong. my phone only takes a couple of seconds to upload a youtube video on edge and verizon isn't exactly on 4g and my phone is a junk phone and it catches better signal than the lg voyager,LG chocolate,LG Envy touch, and most other verizon phones in scarce signal areas where i live

Howard Stern is also ragging on AT&T's poor coverage. He had a Blackberry on AT7T- he said he could not make a decent call.  He switched to a Blackberry on Verizon- now he can makes calls everywhere.

When is AT&T going to ever fix this?! The IPhone is a great device but what use is it if you don't have coverage (I have friends who complain about it all the time)?
