  • Driver:"Should I gas it or just ease it?"

Sinister Friend: *aint mine* "umm Gas it!" *this is gonna be good*

    "SNAP!!!!!!!!"

Ever notice those who don't own the rig always push you to do it, crawl it, romp it, gas it etc? Those who don't own the rig always tell ya to relax, you'll make it...

  • ouch.

  • did u have lokers?

  • I love my Jeep, but as expensive as they are, I would never do something like this to it. Sucks to be you with the repair bills. Enjoy

  • gass it

  • rednecks, gotta love em.

  • @weaponstroopusaf redneck women have the best pussy.

  • Guess he should have just eased it.

  • time for some upgraded axle shafts!!

  • @nonbiasamigo im with you but just after jeeps passed from AMC to Chrystler in 1987. Before 1987 jeep rules. Such is my 1980 CJ7. It rules!! ;p

  • OlllllO

  • That was just sloppy driving....But you learn from your mistakes.

  • camera man sounds like hank hill

  • shoulda had dana 60s on it

  • "That wasn't good; whatever that was." No shit!

  • I bet He wished he didn't gas it...LOL

  • whoever said gas is a retard

  • this is why we have 4 wheel low...

  • This is obvious..

    idiot..

  • was that loud?

  • I'm guessin' that the driver wont listen to the guy who said " Gas it" anymore.

  • OOOO ouch that made me cringe

  • Gaaaaaaaaasssss it.

  • was that a chicken bone cracking.oooooooooops.I don;t think so.

  • SNAP GOES THE AXLE

  • that should buff out......

  • Sweet, you broke a piece of shit axle and then polished that shit with new axles.

  • "That wasn't good" LOL DUMBASS REDNECKS.

  • @nattlecakes real rednecks woodnt have let that happen, and real rednecks drive trucks

  • @nattlecakes im a fucking country asshole go fuck somebody

  • I have a Dana 35 in my 89 XJ. Running 33" with 8.5" lift and I have yet to snap anything. I've taken my Jeep through hell and never snapped anything. Only because I don't GAS IT trying to get up something. Dana 35 hold up good if the driver is good and knows how to drive offroad.

  • haha who still uses myspace

  • @CnRDirt lol no doubt. prolly people pushing pr0n. hell i abandoned my Myspace acct. because of the pr0n requests and spam. shoot i can find it easily enough. dont need adverts for it

  • @CnRDirt

    whats myspace? haha

  • @CnRDirt Who still doesnt read the date ? you...

  • @CnRDirt september 13, 2007 everyone did lol

  • @CnRDirt Note this video is 4 years old for the most part..

  • @CnRDirt tell em about it, all the fucking preteen/single mothers and eratic women all switched to facebook. Im afraid to add people because they spam my fucking page with "Farmville" and some other gay ass shit. Hoping google+ isn't as cluttered with bullshit.

  • @sacr3 i have a facebook, but i barely go on it because of all the farmville shit and everybody bitches on it. it fuckin pisses me off.

  • @CnRDirt posted in 07 bro

  • Dana 35...isn't that the same ale my Craftsman lawn tractor has? LOL

Naw, you can build a moderatly tough D35...but why do that when youcan swap in a D44 and a ford 9" or 8.8"....or go all out and swap in D60's....no I am getting outta hand!

  • To those who think "giving it more gas" is the right idea for offroading, your idiots. Stay on the racing circuit. There is a reason why Jeep Jamboree's motto is "Tread Lightly"

  • Dana 35. You fail.

  • and this is why i put yota axles in my yj

  • Thats why i have 85 yota with straight axles. and never listen to the guy who says "uh gas it".

  • tiesiog mazai praktikos ieturitodel nesigavo vaziuot

  • Detroit is not what it used to be, manufacturers cutting costs to feed the unions and line the pockets of greedy CEOs, building Sh*t to feed the believers in the american public.

  • AMC 20.and the guy that said gas it i hope you have the money to buy that guy a new axle

  • @evilchopstick420

That is a Wrangler with a Dana 35. It doesn't have an AMC 20. If someone tells me to "gas it", I am going to do what I want, not what they want. The driver owes himself a new axle. He was the one dumb enough to put 35's or whatever they are on a D35, and try to climb that hill.

  • @ss0rca

your right, the driver was stupid for listening to his dumbass friend. Either way if he'd have crept up that in 4LO 1ST gear, he would have been just fine.

  • HAHAHAHAHA shudda got a landy

  • 1- dont listen to idiots, ur driving do what u think is best. 2- upgrade axles before snapping one you will spend a lot less

  • yeah,american piece of crap!

  • NO its just a chrysler piece of crap.

  • @bigorangetrucker

You are clueless. I ordered my '99 with a 4.0 5-speed, and a Dana 44. I put 33x12.5(same size as other brand's 35's) TSL super swampers on it. I beat the shit out of it worse than this video, and I never had a problem.

  • @kay19833

Jeep MB-CJ-Wrangler has kept the same basic formula for the last 65+ years. It still does the job, and people still buy 100k plus of them a year. I would put it up against any vehicle in the world for usefulness, durability, reliability, capability, desirability, resale value, and most importantly fun. You bash American, but frankly you don't know WTF you are talking about.

  • @ss0rca the funny thing is american cars are not made in america. jeep is crap untill you put more money in it then it is a nice rig, dana 30 and 35's suck ass

  • @flat4powerhouse

Jeep Wrangler and Liberty are made in Toledo, Ohio, USA. Jeep Patriot and Compass are made in Belvidere, Illinois, USA. Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander are made in Detroit, Michigan, USA. I ordered my Wrangler with a factory installed Dana 44 rear and Dana 30 front. I put very sticky 33" SuperSwampers on it. Bigger tires like these are VERY hard on axles. Beating on it with a 5 speed, it never broke. Dana 30 front is fine. Dana 35 rear is fine with stock size tires.

  • @flat4powerhouse what a ridiculous comment considering that the Jeep has been built in AMERICA for years and continues to be made in the US. I don't disagree with you completely, many american car manufacturers have products built out of country, but the Jeep happens to be 100% american.

  • @flat4powerhouse yeah ur wrong about where its made, but thats why it broke lol

  • Dana 35's are shit. Add a d-bag driver and what do you get? SNAP

  • That'll cost yer!

  • should have just put it in low range.

  • Man I remember those days...I had the Dana 35 and even with alloys I still broke them. I put a 44 in with 35 spline and ARB locker and had no problems. Check out my vid. J

  • That hurt just watching it....

  • In the words of Hank Hill

    "That wu'n good."

    0:27

  • sound like a twig breaking... oh thats right d35s have axle shafts made out of wood

  • Should have crawled it..gunning it like that caused the break.. that " Gas it" dude needs to stay on the porch it he cant hunt with the big dawgs..

  • if it was me i had of wished it was a tree branch

  • aww cute, a Jeep pretending it's an offroader

  • Nah Gas it. HAHAHA

  • try alittle slower next time? haha

  • @highmark33 i have a 35...not broken yet... ah well. when it goes ill pull a 44 out of a jy or something. 2 mistakes jeep made on xjs so far...having a slip yoke and dana 35s.

  • he must have that thing super tuned. proably a hemi or viper motor in it...I have driven a lot of racecars and none of them break axles even when using the nitro button!

  • @jdb1986jdb1986 ?????sure thing. Even if what you say is true, road and offroad are two completely different things but you wouldn't know about that with your "nitro button"

  • @strakill He is lucky he did not blow the intake.

  • bahahaha...yup gass it! lol..ouch

  • better stay on the road with your "off road" vehicles :)

  • sorry fellas chrysler is mopar, as in dodge, i dont care theyr still good rigs

  • Red neck has two sayings that gets them in trouble.

    1. "Hey y'all watch this"

    2. "Gas it!!!"

  • LOL another broken HEEP i mean JEEP....should of sprung for the rubicon and got the dana 44 eh???

  • Never listen to a by-stander!!

  • jus another rejected dana axle they sold to GM for parts....but dont blame them...blame GM they put it in ur jeep...

  • @bentboybbz uuumm GM doesn't own or manufacture jeeps.

  • @flight2k5 ok then does GM own Chrysler?

  • @bentboybbz no, GM does not own Chrysler, FIAT does

  • "That wuddn't good." lol

  • $%^&*&^%$#K

  • Considering you can break a D35 driving down the street on bigger tires, I can't say it's that surprising.

  • 4x4 low dude so super slow dumb shit

  • This is why im putting some 3/4 ton rear ends under my jeep whos cares if its heavyer haha.

  • nothin cooler than driving a jeep up a hill

  • This is why i changed my mind about building a Wrangler, and built a Toyota instead!! Beefy axles come stock!! (on rear at least, put a solid axle from an 85 in front) but better to just buy one axle for $500 than 2 axles at $2,000 each!!

  • ouch!!! thats why I want to take out my dana 35 and get a ford 8.8 with lockers. I am not even going to screw with lockers tell I get the ford 8.8

  • its not quite a direct swap. Will need to do some mods to the axle to get it on a jeep but they make kits for that and not hard to do

  • 44 or 60 or bust. 8.8 has weaker shafts than either...

  • @Rizza401 Dana 60s are for lead footed hillbillies . . .

  • wht do u expect to hapen when you roll back with ur foot still in the gas?????u wouldnt be inexperienced would you?

  • definitly the weak point of a jeep. I'm trying to find a 44 or an 8.8 for mine but theyre hard to find around here for a good price

  • ford 8.8 should be easy to find at a junk yard. If you got a u pull it they are extremely cheap

  • word of advice never listen to the drunk guy....

  • HAHAHA.... "Only In A Jeep" ....HAHAHA

  • yah because this is the jeeps fault and not the driver...........

  • i guess thats what they mean when they say "its a jeep thing, you just wouldnt understand" lol

  • @cmudd90 coming form the two "mudd boys" , grow up and get in the rocks.

  • broke easy jeep power maybe lol

  • crawl it next time

  • @itsajeepthing20 yeah dont always listen to your spotter unless hes paying for the repairs!

  • Comment removed

  • Is there a side road could have taken?

  • Why a dana 44? I'd go ford 8.8 more common and cheaper plus the fact it comes with disc's and it's stronger.

  • Yep 8.8 is the way to go !!!

  • @tipdowntipup It depends on the size of the tires when you choose a rear end. And a 9" would be the way to go vs the 8.8" because of the third member. You can swap from 3.50 to 4.11's in 20 minutes because you can just swap third members. And the 9" is tougher, but the 8.8" is still very tough.

Really, though, for a serious offroad machine... you'd want Dana 50 or Dana 60 especially front and rear.

  • Nice, time for an upgrade.

  • deng that snapped pretty easily.time for a dana 44!

  • got to love the wheel hop onto the back wheels... instant break on the great and wonderfull Dana 35. Been there..time to upgrade

  • No "GAAAAASSSS ITTT" dudes a dumb F*ck

  • Guessin' you shoulda eased it lol.

  • Not very fun to roll over

  • do ATV's have AC? Are ATV's comfortable to drive in the snow.

Can ATV's seat 5 people and put a crap ton of tools in the back?

    Don't be naive...

  • @nasonguy I'm not arguing, I just missed where someone was talking about ATV's. Where is this conversation at?

I'll agree a jeep/truck is better for hauling people and supplies while staying warm and dry, but an ATV will go ANYWHERE where as a 2500 pound jeep or 5000+ pound truck will just get stuck.

Both have their pros and cons. Here's an idea. Take an ATV with you in the back of your 4x4 truck ;-)

  • "Here's an idea. Take an ATV with you in the back of your 4x4 truck ;-) "

    I like that idea, haha!

  • every body knows your supposed to go balls to the walls

  • and thats why the axle snapped.

  • sounded like bigfoot stepping on a twig. 2 words: dana 70

  • .11 (driver)"should i gas it, or do i just ease it?" (DUMBASS) "GAS IT"

  • your the dumbass.look where gasin it got him.everytime somebody gasses something shit breaks.hahhahahahahaha

  • u have the front axle to go back home u stupid fuck

  • dana 35 is a c-clip axle. So when hte axle shaft breaks you wheel can't stay on the vehicle anymore.

Best case scenario, you strap the wheel and "LIMP" your way off the trail. You can forget about driving home with the front axle.

looks like YOU are the one who doesn't know what he's talking about .... dumbass.

  • what hold the rear tire on the back?

  • NOOB

  • of course what a typical dickhead cheap owner would say.

  • **ɐqɯnp oʇ uʍop ǝpısdn ǝʇıɹʍ uɐɔ ı

  • ¡ssɐqɯnp oʇ uʍop ǝpısdn ǝʇıɹʍ uɐɔ ı

  • gas it! lol. wheel spin + weak axles= breakage! and yes i have a TJ

  • wow!!!!!!!!!! how do u do that?????

  • ¡ʇı op ʇ,uɐɔ sǝssɐqɯnp

  • SNAP Front wheel drive jeep.

  • I'm saying now it is. Cause the rear axle broke the only wheels getting power are the front ones.

  • what about the jeep compass dumbass.

  • thats not a real jeep

  • i agree, but its a jeep none the less. just like the hummer h2/h3 isnt a REAL hummer, but you cant say "well thats not a hummer" because it clearly is one. thats why you cant say "there is no FWD jeep" when there obviously is one, wether its a "real" jeep or not.

  • Thats like saying the Pinnafarina Caddilac is a Ferrarri. ITS NOT. The Jeep Compass IS a Jeep, not a jeep. There IS a difference. Haha, roll up to a Jamboree in a Compass and see what happens.

  • Heres 2 easy steps to avoid this situation. #1. Asking the crowd if you should gas it. #2. Taking the crowds advice.

  • If it ain't broke don't fix it. If it broke make it better. At least you got your time and work out of those DANA35s. I want to see some new improved vids

  • what a pos cant even go up a hill

  • its not even a piece of shit its the driver that cant drive...

  • some advice dickhead:

dont use a jeep off road.

go up inclines slowly, not foot to the floor

    get a diesel

  • You're a moron. I'd like to see your diesel follow my jeep on some black trails at Rausch creek. Not gonna happen

  • It being a jeep has nothing to do with why it broke, clown

  • I totally agree with the diesel motor....but I don't agree with not using a Jeep. They are tested and true offroaders.

Now, putting a diesel in a Jeep, theres a nice vehicle.

  • _(OIIIIIIIO)_

don't forget the seven grill spokes

  • OllllO

  • snap !

  • That's what he gets for listening to the idiot who say's "gas it"

  • yep!

  • sounded painful

  • ouchy

  • love it

  • famous last words "GAS IT!"

  • and POP!!! haha that sucks

  • 8.8 time

  • Definitely, you never fix what you break.

UPGRADE! 8.8 or even Dana 44 if your low on cash.

  • if you didn't notice, it wasn't the tires spinning that broke the axle, just before it breaks, notice how the jeep struggling to get up the hill falls back down due to lack of traction and hits a rock sticking out or something

  • hhaha they wanted him to ruine that jeep

  • when you start spinnin' wheels- thats when shit breaks.

  • Or just get a toyota with a sas and never break anything!!

  • Dana 35's are fine if you know their limitations, gassing a jeep on an incline will do it. I have a locked D35 in the rear of my TJ and belive me it has been well used over the last two years. You just gotta take it easy on the right foot and it will get you home every time.
