You have to remember that Nile plays 60min+ set lists (full of songs in the 240+ area) at every one of their shows. Im sure there are only a handful of drummers who can keep the intensity on their feet after that long (hands are a different story).
@JonasOfSweden to bad you weren't there so you have no idea how hard he is hitting the bass drum. I've been right next to him live, he hits harder at that speed then you could at 180 bpm.

hmm, i hav som advice for anyone that wants to play really fast like geroge and take it back decently far for the speed level. if u hav variable beaters [i.e. a weight on the beater] take the weight and put it as close to the beater as u can. iron cobra's work best. then just play as fast as u can, and adjust urself to the weight. thats what i did after taking georges advice to help me bring it back far and play really fast at the same time. just a tip for anyone that may need help wit it.
if u look at iron cobra beaters, the hav a small adjustable weight on the shaft of the beater. u can move it up and down the shaft to find a setting comfortable for u.
Ive seen videos where george says your should have good motion on your beaters when playing double bass. hes contradicting himself with his video. I wonder why hes doesn't play with good motion when hes definetly capable of it.
