I am doing the 2009 S.E. season for the first time in my life. I am pretty green. I will be working on the Deborah Ann. I don't get what the shit is going on in this video. All of these boats are doing sets this close to each other? How does shit not get totally screwed?

This is herring fishing. Its a lot different than salmon. Things are a little more civil for salmon. And shit does get fucked up during this. Check out some of my other videos on salmon fishing, you should get a better idea on how it works.

I've been workin around and with seiners for probly 20 years. I've worked all deck spots and ran the skiff for 5 years and hung maybe a half a dozen nets. Full purse and half so i know alittle

Actually I'm getting ready to head out to Bristol Bay where I fish salmon, then I fly over to Prince William Sound to tender in August. Hopefully I'll get most of September off to kick around and do some sport fishing and beer drinking...but you know how it is - no rest for the wicked.

What are you guys up to? Do you always have returning crew? I'd be interested in seining down that way one of these days...or doing some Halibut...mainly just summer stuff, cuz I got such a gravy crab job...
