I can't even emotional it must have been for Stallone to have filmed the last scene ever for a Rocky movie, running up the Philly steps. It am sure it was emotional enough for people that were 8 when Rocky came out, but for Stallone... I mean the man ended one of the best film series ever with the most memorable scene from any of the movies. Great job, Stallone!
I cried at this when I saw it in theaters. I was born in the 90's and my dad showed me this movie when I was young. When I saw that Rocky Balboa was coming back and in theaters, I headed to the theater on the 1st day to see my favorite icon on the big screen. This part made me cry b/c it brings me back to the other movies, and I always want to be like Rocky. To Be Strong and Have Faith :)
@billruller Amen. Thank you Sly for giving us the chance to experience the magic of Rocky in the cinemas. When I'm an old fart I'd be telling kids I saw a Rocky film in theaters.
I remember when I saw this in theaters when I was about 14 or 15. When that song started, people stood up and started cheering and I did too. I think I almost cried too. God I love this movie and all its prequels.
@NoSeasPuerka really?!?! aww man I wish I was in that theater! In my theater I was the only one that clapped through out the fight/montage...only time Ive done that in a movie theater.
Even if it takes some serious belief suspension, it would have been a lot more satisfying to see him knock out the champ for one last time. Even a TKO or just accumulated points.
The human digestive system is better at processing cooked food than raw food. One of the major tradeoffs of a big brain is a weakened digested system. Please, eat cooked eggs.
i was so happy they went back to the original theme "gonna fly now" rocky 4 and 5 didn't have it and the movies just didnt feel right.. especially 5 with that horrible horrible music they used.
@mrfloppyjoe yeah, i hear it too... or it could be "Rocko" remember Paulie called him Rocko a lot throughout the series. Anyone's guess though. Good ears. lol
rocky balboa makes the audience feel better than they ever felt before at the end, mason dixon still wins by points but in the best way possible and i never felt better after i watched this movie for the first time
"lets build some hurtin bombs" best scene in fucking movie history! right up there with "if he were here hed scorch the english with fireballs from his eyes, and lightning bolts from his ass"
So, what we'll be calling on is good ol' fashion blunt force trauma. Horsepower. Heavy-duty, cast-iron, piledriving punches that will have to hurt so much they'll rattle his ancestors. Every time you hit him with a shot, it's gotta feel like he tried kissing the express train. Yeah! Let's start building some hurtin' bombs!
Many people in their sixties need help just getting up from a chair or walking a short distance. Meanwhile Sly is benching 350lbs, and doing power squats. Very encouraging knowing age does not have to be the end of an impressive physique.
I think to make Rocky 6 better they should have put ALOT more anger into it. Like say Mixon kills his son or something crazy like that, then i'd understand a 50 year old holding up against a 20 something championship boxer... I mostly like the 5 classical Rocky movies, but this was good too.
@jmjmjm97 In III creed trained him for speed, rhythm and power, or, as Paulie said, "like a colored fighter." He then incorporated Creed's style into his own and had the best fight of his career, or as he put it, "never better."
Rocky would have to have super genetics to make such rapid progress in weightlifting in just a few months, especially since his character in the movie was supposed to be in his 50s.
@Gilgamesh7990 he probs did some sort of exercise because earlier the boxing comission said he passed his tests with flying colours
Either way-Rocky's the man! This film inspires me more than the others since Rocky's old in this and does the most realistic training an OAP can do-weights!Though idk why they did this film at all since they HAD to kill Adrian to make it work. Seems to me ppl like Rocky fighting more than him living happily ever after (like that written in Rocky V)
This is such a superb montage, Stallone really knows how to put one of these things together. Plus I've always thought that at 2:16 Paulie calls him Rambo by mistake. Brilliant.
@gunfighter964 well, they just said before the training that his body is broken down and can't handle the sparring and boxing aspect of training so this movie's training was about muscle building and focussing on "hurting bombs"
@gunfighter964 Rocky III he trains w/creed and I think he does in Rocky II as well-they want to show him fight in the ring so him sparring kinda ruins the surprise!

But since it IS a bit bleh, if it doesnt provide more protein than cooked why should someone do it anyway.
And I mean, digestion time isnt really important for the eggs, since you cant rely on them as a source of quickly absorbed protein in any case. Its one of these types that the body absorbes slowly. Sort of like casein if Im not mistaken.
raw will have more protein because the cooking does degrade the protein down. If you want, mix them with milk or at least break apart the yolk so theres no huge lumps to force down:) what are you training for by the way? to gain mass or lose fat, or sports related?
as long as the quality of the eggs are decent i.e the chickens arent fed there own shit like they were in the uk many years ago, then salmonella is a very very low risk. say 1 in 250 chance, and thats for low quality eggs. Just use free range of a quality company and you will be fine.

Sorry in 4 years of studying nutrition I have never heard of 'certain chemicals' been released when eggs are cooked. Vince Geronda is an old school bodybuilder who made some very left of centre statememts not only about nutrition but also about training methods that have long since been proved as incorrect.
vince gironda (spell it right) was one of the smartest and most advanced people of his time who did indeed make very many far fetched theories. show me studies where his theorys have been proved wrong please? i know of myself and many others who have used his advice and gotten great results.the chemical i was talking about= avidin, its a protein and it blocks the digestion of the eggs when raw, cooking the eggs denatures thisprotein and allows a much higer absorbtion. what nutrition did u study?
@randomjudoguy101 Agreed Avidin is a type of protein, the denaturing process does not increase absorption it has the opposite effect, cooking ANY protein profoundly reduces or eliminates the ability of proteins to be properly digested. I'm a CHEK corrective exercise coach and Poliquen strength coach, been in the business for 20 years, I find it amusing when jo public turn to old school bodybuilders for training 'mantras' times have changed and thank god so have techniques. Pls no more messages
Not necessarily, certain vegetables are hard on the stomach when digesting (e.g., broccoli). Albeit, "overcooking" (since vegetables are technically 'cooked' when fresh and not 'raw'), does extrapolate a good amount of nutrients, but that just means you get to eat more of the good stuff. ;)
Cooking the eggs makes the proteins in eggs less readily available to your body when you eat them. Raw eggs are better because theres slightly more protein available as its more acesible by your body, But if you cant take raw eggs then theres only a slight difference anyways. Drinking raw is not dangerous in the slightest btw, this guy talks bs.
what in the world are you talking about? Cooking eggs doesnt increase its protein, that makes no sense. There are no proven scientific facts that state eating raw food is dangerous expect that you can get bacteria infections and yes that is dangerous, but hell you can die a million different ways should we all hide in the house under the covers?
well... there is protein in the egg white stuff... usually for building muscels... i dunno why he also drinks the yellow stuff... its not very healthy to drink that much
The first 3 Rockys are the best. Rocky 4 was entertaining but it was too unrealistic. I mean, if you get knocked down 3 times in one round by a big Russian, the fight would have ended.

To Beat This Guy You Need Speed .
I just noticed that Rocky's Training is Focused in Strength . Why ?
Weight Lifting , Punching Bag ,
I don't see that thing that hitbacks when you punch it
and no speed bag ,
Weight Lifting makes you slower . ( Correct me if I'm wrong)

Google salmonella in eggs. That's why he's concerned
dreidl19380 2 years ago
what in the world are you talking about? Cooking eggs doesnt increase its protein, that makes no sense. There are no proven scientific facts that state eating raw food is dangerous expect that you can get bacteria infections and yes that is dangerous, but hell you can die a million different ways should we all hide in the house under the covers?

Eggs are better cooked, drinking them raw is dangerous and pointless. Cooking releases the protiens.

The first 3 Rockys are the best. Rocky 4 was entertaining but it was too unrealistic. I mean, if you get knocked down 3 times in one round by a big Russian, the fight would have ended.
