  • wow..., my school did this way better than these guys did, and we only had TWO weeks to practice it!!!

and i also play the trumpet, and i suck, but i sound WAY better than these trumpets do!

  • My 88 year old grandfather can play better than this! This is ridiculous!!! The fact that the conductor didn't even try to stop them when they were talking shows how much really cares about the situation. The entire time everyone was SUPPPPPERR FLATTT!!!!!!

  • change notes quickly, even when slurring. Work a lot on intonation, and hitting those higher notes with confidence.

  • Wow that was terrible!

  • Awww...come on people, give them some love. I love the fact that they tried, but I also love the fact that they were just sitting there for well over a minute and talked while the conductor didn't even try to stop them, even if he did they just kept on talking, I also love the fact that the notes kept cracking, and there was no emotion whatsoever in there. ^-^ There, some love, I'm sure it made them feel so much better. <3

PS My little bro and his band done better- they're 10.

    PS2. I love you :3

  • This is really terrible. My 8th grade band class is way better then this...and we only have had the music for 3 days. And they say high school students are better then middle school.

  • @KermitGirl1 most times they are but hell..my years of middle school we were better also

  • This is terrible. I played better in 7th grade, and I was terrible.

  • me and my band class played this waay better...and i'm in middle school!!

  • Tuning in high school: Play the Bb for a short while while making no adjustments whatsoever.

  • uh high school? no offense but i would expect something this bad to be a middle school band...

  • Uhm no offense.. It's kinda good.. But I'm in 7th grade nd we just had a spring concert nd played better than this.. :/ No offense lol just needs practice. But it's not really a difficult song.

  • so undiciplined

  • also a great conductor told me once that a conductor does not make a noise it is the ensemble that makes the sound so it is the conductors job to empower the players so that they know what you want and that they know what it is supposed to sound like

  • here's some constructive criticism

    1. musicality-i dont think that the students understood the piece

    2. It was Mezzo Forte- im not talking about dynamics what im talking about is that there was no emotion in the music. there was nothing in there that showed me what the composer was thinking or trying to convey to the crowd. music has a message an overall meaning and it is our job as musicians to make sure that the audience understands that meaning

  • omg my school sounds better than that wow

  • you could have cut the first 2 minutes, instead of making us wait like morons, en the performance is terrible bad!!!

  • It sux when the trumpets crack the 4th note...

  • wow. ya'll are so flat and weak on the high notes, needs way way improvement. too loud, its a building chorale. starting soft then exploding

  • Not a bad playing of the song... a few suggestions

    1) Use dynamics!!! You guys were way too big early on and didn't change throughout the song. Start soft than start slowly rising up, once you hit the phrase with the high notes... Forte ^.^

2)Softly tongue those notes, its a chorale after all ^.^ give every note their full value with soft tongues

other than that, not bad, still sounds good and lots of room for improvment

  • Itss soo gayy thatss no woodwinss arentt in there. >:l It ruinss the whole thingg..

  • woodwinds SUCK!!

  • Tubas suck

  • opinions are like assholes

  • some of the players sounded a bit weak, like they were trying to play out of breath.

  • This is pretty good... But just brass? Without woodwinds, it's just half a band. Yall are O.K though, not great, but ok.

  • ... hence the fact it's called a brass choir.

  • the trumpets need to think aahh when playing the higher notes

  • stupid stage vents kept blowing my music off my stand. I'm on the end, by the way, and I look like an idiot picking my music up every 5 seconds :P

  • weight it down with somethign perhaps?

  • yeah lol... my hand. I was holding my trumpet in one hand and the music in the other; there was no other way.

  • wow.that,um,shouldnt be played by concert ppls.IMO it sounds better in marching....no offense to anyone :P

  • deff right.

i cant really picture this song without our drill set now.. haha. i<3 the planets mann.
