Maurice, who I am told has now passed, did have some drinking problems; but is was the youngest, Andy, who really fell into drinking.  Curiously, Andy himself was very successful for a time, and very young... I have always admired their music, and Barry's [the eldest brother] outlook on life. From a VH1 special. @JohnGLewis1964 I believe Robin now lives in Great Britain and Barry lives in the USA. I believe either in Florida or Texas. Both are still very active performing and composing. Their music remain unmatched til today. Incredible talents and integrity as well. I believe Barry just celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary to Linda Gray. Such a good and humble man.

The Bee Gees are not American. They are British.

Their parents raised them in Australia before they returned to the UK to launch their career. They began having hits in late 1960s but then dropped out of the charts for a few years. They went to the USA and resurrected themselves with a more soulful sound like with "Jive Talking", (1975) which ultimately lead to them getting the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.

They live and work in the USA but they are British.
