what does the stringer do? i cant imagine it it makes it stronger, if anything weaker. counldnt you just make a template and cut out 1 thicker piece of foam and then shape the tail and nose by hand?

how well does a board made this way, size, etc. work. how much weight can it support? can u ride wave with it like a zap?

@Itsmyzelf is is basically useing insolation foam. you can get it at any home depo or lows

i jus made the foam core and not just to be a critic...but for everyone else, USE HOT GLUE, then you take a palm sander and the glue will probably melt and spread ontop of the surface( not a problem, as a matter of fact it works perfect) the sandpaper will get cltted with glue but you can jus peal it off :)

Do you have a video that can eplain using the epoxy resin and how to fiberglass it in good detail? all the youtube videos arent very good detail, can you help out? and do you just use the resin? or mix the resin and hardner then use it?

Yes it's possible without the stringer

I'm just wondering, is this your first attempt to build a skimboard or anything out of foam? it looked a bit clumsy sometimes. why didn't you use like a sandingmachine, you don't need to use like big woodtools, you just cut out the shape, usin a warmwire then you just sand with either a machine or a sandingblock. But before you complain on my comment i would like to say that it turned out quite nice for being made out of scrap foam.

ah yeah...it split a little bit when bending it. doh!!!

I hit it with a little extra Gorilla Glue to "fix it", and continued with it for the video's sake. it doesn't look pretty as it could, but it'll still be strong and function.

it split where there was a gouged/weak spot...that's what I get for using junk/scrap foam.

im making one right now ond and the nose cracked but i glued it back on and it looks like it will still work=)can u please make a video on how to fiberglass the board do u know if u can get fiberglass fromm home depot

when ever i do this i never can get a good enough curve in it it never stays in place
