Hate to be a bummer, but thats not an old GM island. To be honest, when I found it, I thought it was too. It was an old island that had a quest on it. It's fatigued because you had to fly to it. My friend helped me look it up. It's just an old chain quest island. :)

No, this is used content. It was used back in Classic wow as part of the Scepter quest chain for AQ. You needed to come here for part of it.... (I've completed the chain)

That's not the old GM island. Both GM Island and this island have been in WoW since the beginning. This is just unused content. There is a lot of unused content in WoW. Including map areas, battle grounds and even a raid map(Emerald Dream). Not to mention items, spells and commands.

One word of advice. If you're going to walk on water to those goblin islands, mount up. lol

Keep going west down that coast and you'll find more unused content. A cave and a farm.

GM island is part of the original maps(Map1/Kalimdor). And this place is not the old GM island. It's just unused content.

Before aq there was a sign and a chair the sign said welcome to gm island then when players started going there it was ditched and the sign and chair removed and the gm you know was added to the game and the island was left but then brought back for aq quest

That's not old GM island, it's an island referred to as a South Sea island, and it was involved in a quest to open the gates to AQ, there is a Naga in a cave near there, who granted a swim speed buff, when you made it to that part of the quest, so you could get through the fatigue, and you would find an item on the island needed for the quest.

its easy to get here if your a druid or death knight, druids get a glyph to make their swimspeed as fast a land mount, my guild managed to get a lock here and we summoned around 100 people and ran around dancing etc

This isn't anything special. Not GM island, not some goblin town for the next expansion. It was involved with the opening of AQ in patch 1.9 where you were given a swim speed buff to get past the fatigue and get there.

That is the old GM island. It was basically an open space for players to go, not that blizzard inteded that. Players just figured out how to get there.

I went there back before they introduced AQ and there was no buildings at all, just pirates and hyenas. Those islands were part of the opening of the AQ gates questline not long after I visited. I dont know if they added those buildings for that purpose, but i know for certain it wasn't a "GM" island back when I visited in 2005.

I dont believe this is the old gm island because it doesnt take all of those things you deemed necessary to get there... i just water walked on my shaman and stoped/go healed myself until i got the island... the island has always been there and there has always been the same gm island but as of 2.4 you can no longer get there without gm command
