Are you able to review cutscenes after you've seen them in the professor's trunk? Or is it a one time deal? Much obliged if you find the time to answer this, friend. :)

Actually, yes you can review the cut scene over. I believe its in the bonus menu then in Top Secrete you can find the music of the game and watch all the cut scenes of the game, profile and more. (To unlock Top Secrete you need to complete the game)

For a DS game, it had some amazing cutscenes, and a brilliant plot. And its voice acting was at a remarkable quality level. So, that game was an epic win.

Not to mention, the character's personalties all stood out.

I agree. At first it starts fun but it gets difficult later on. Took me a long time to figure these puzzels. Alphabets tricked me.
