I would love to know what type of plant that is and the general set up for one of these, a website with instructions will be of help too. I want to do this myself :)
i have a biorb flow 30L. i washed everything and dried it and the water is a bit cloudy mainly near the top of the tank how long will it take until i can put my betta in?
This might be an aquarium, but NO FISH TANK! How many liters does this keep? 20? 30l? This is a bowl and no fish tank. Im not even sure if this is large enough to keep shrimp! They should stop selling this. Thats cruel. Everyone who keeps fish in this bowl is an ass and should be locked into a 20sqft room for the rest of their life!
May you please go to my channel and check my video out to see if you can help my fish and I? I don't know if it has dropsy, is chubby, or is going to lay eggs. Please help! Anyone? Thanks you!
what is this for crap? are there any primitive people that put a living being in such a little bowl? they must be retarded for selling this as a 'aquarium'.
I'm wondering about biorbs. They seem too good to be true. The elegance and small size of a goldfish bowl, but without the health problems.
Do they actually work, or is it more bullshit? Pretty much every aquarium owner who knows their stuff just say its an expensive fishbowl, and your fish will still die after a few years in it, because all the same problems of fish bowls are still there (poor surface area, small space, poor oxygen flow)
i'm thinking about getting a biorb and i have a small bedroom but i think it's big enough to fit a 30 liter. should i get a baby or 30 liter, i'm thinking of getting a few small neon fish. Oh yeah and can you clean the filter.
you can clean the filter out, (the sponge) and reuse it, if you notice your tank getting really dirty you'll still want to replace it with a new one every once in a while. The larger the tank the better, just because you can put more fish in it and give them more room, but the baby biorb works great for small setups of a few fish
even bette is to just put some garneles in the tank instead of fish. 30 liters are just to small for fishes. Also the water tends to get faster poisenous for the fish (nitrite and/or ammonia). You rather start with a 50 liter tank or something similair, its easier to handle. Also if the tank is bigger you don't have to change the water that much.
depends on the size, a rough rule is one inch of fish per gallon of water, that depends on the fish though too. Some fish need more space and some less
@kidfriendlyfoods I wouldn't reccomend this as a saltwater nano tank, and I defintely would NOT reccomend trying to keep any marine fish in this. Most species of marine fish are too large and too delicate for such a small environment, they are very picky about the water paramenters.
What? How are these prisons? I mean, for $60-70 bucks I know you can get a better tank, but jeez, these aren't THAT bad. 4 gallons for a betta is hardly a prison.
check and see if there is water in your air pump, if your air pump is below the tank it might have gotten water in the air hose and into the pump which will stop the pump, or your pump might be dead
Hi, I have a Baby BiOrb. It has that grass ring in the middle. The filter, heater light, air pump and filter media. I don't have thoes Gold Pebbles. I'm thinking of buying them, maybe two different colours. If I add two packs it will fill up all the bottom? If it fills up all the bottom of the tank, could I add 2 or 3 corydora's with my betta. The filter media at the bottom is sharp and if you add the gold rocks could I add some small catfish like oto's or corydora's?
technically with the feng shui pebbles you could add corydoras because the pebbles are smooth, however, cory's feed off the bottom and since the pebbles are large pieces of food will fall through the cracks between the pebbles which will make it hard for your cory's to find food.
If you decide to get cory's I would recommend getting tablet food for bottom feeders because that will be big enough that it probably won't fall between the cracks and they will be able to get it easily to eat it
@Seahorse402 Thank you :). I have just got a pair. I don't have the golden pebbles. But they are fine. I just fed them. They are eating the tablet foods they seem to be fine :) They are active. Do you think it is worth adding the stones? I'm upgrading to a 10 gallon tank soon... Not a biOrb its just a normal 10 gallon tank filter, heater, pump e.t.c I got them these mini algae tablets.
the best way is to get a biorb siphon hose and then do a partial water change taking out about 20% of the water while siphoning the bottom of the aquarium and then replacing the water with fresh water treated with a water conditioner
Does this have sort of the same technology as say the jellyfish desktop tank? Where the bubbles have the power to make the clockwise circular water flow so I could possibly keep a jellyfish in one? (Not the baby biorb)
You should definitely turn the light off at night but you should leave the filter on. There is a light switch that you can switch the light off or on easily.
You should leave the filter on because it will help to circulate the water and oxygenate the water. If for some reason it isn't on for a little while the tank will be fine though - hope that helps
The filter never should be off when you're cylcing or changing right? it seems there are no video's on how to do that and I've had mine running for 2 weeks so when I get my cleaner pump tomorrow I don't want to do anything wrong this weekend.
it depends on the type and size of goldfish and your tank, if you have a baby biorb you don't want to put too many fish in it. I have one betta in my tank, goldfish can be messy and grow really big, some people don't recommend keeping them in the baby biorb because they grow too large. Hope that helps
How to clean a BiOrb:
1. Throw this glossed up "tank" out
2. Buy a real tank
