Just an observation - no argument - there certainly is great passion in S.A. and many surrounding countries - our quality of life is by far underestimated - the beauty unmatched and unique, tho' every country has it's own beauty. I think the author was emphasising all this - especially the passion. It takes living here to experience that and live it out.

We often take our country for granted due to media hash and propaganda and our own personal lack of appreciation. Always, huge congratulations to the Bulls - but also looking further, resounding successes by the GREAT BOKKE!! They certainly rose to the occasion re: the B&I Lions tour irrespective of odds against them and excuses because they cannot play rugby according to the rules - Habana, Burger & Botha are marked men - pity. In the town where i live rugby is very popular and they boast with the oldest rugby club in Scotland. They actually show lot of respect for the bok jersey.
