It can be very stressful having a leadership role, having everyone look up to you for all the answers and come to you with all of their complaints. Especially at such a tender age... This actually reminds me of when I was a summer camp counselor at 17. They paired me with teenage campers just a year of my age. How do you expect kids to respect someone their same age or younger. sometimes you can snap or break down. Plus sometimes there's no way to fix something, they just have to deal with it!
