  • I LOVE THIS SONG! My BRO told me that he hates rap. But this epic rap mixed with Oprah, it is awesome.

  • @freakofanime259 It's mixed with opera, not Oprah :p

  • It's your only video... Yet it brought a beautiful thing to my moniter...

    Arigatou!~

  • im still bien mind blown omfgggggggg

  • Someone put this song on itunes

  • @plasmaticwarrior TPB has it. ^_^

  • Hey...have any of you ever heard about 'Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Gurren Gakuenhen'?

  • @omnimon2230 nope, is it a manga or another set of episodes?

  • @shileno8 It's a six-volume manga based off an alternate version of the TTGL universe. Basically, it's the characters of TTGL living 'normal' high school lives. As for what I can tell you, most of the characters are pre-timeskip with a couple of post-timeskip characters thrown in. There are no Anti-Spirals. A couple characters who were once badass, are now either creepy or total losers (and I'm not referring to Simon or Kamina) And as for Nia...well, go see for yourself; It's on mangafox.

  • @omnimon2230 cheers mate!!! i ended up downloading it!! take care bro!!

  • @shileno8 Er...you too...How'd you like it? The manga I mean.

  • @omnimon2230 not bad, but not BRILLIANT

i expected it that way after watching an epic anime lol

  • @shileno8 Well, I wasn't actually expecting much, considering, as I explained before, the manga was set in an alternate universe. Now that I think of it, I should have explained it as being SORTA (but not quite) like Clannad, only with TTGL characters. Y'know? On the low side, many characters who were SO GODDAMN BADASS in the anime (as heroes and/or villains) were reduced to mere pale shadows of themselves...on the bright side, no one dies.

  • @omnimon2230 yeah, that's pretty much it

  • FAP THE UNFAPABLE!

    SHLICK THE UNSHLICKABLE!

    ROW ROW MASTURBATE THE POWER!

  • best song in a anime ever

  • So basically the opera signer sing about the day of judgment where god shall send his wrath upon humanity and ask for forgiveness for her and the others while the rapper talk about fighting the power.

Why do I have the feeling this song encourages to fight god on "the day of judgment"?

  • @EmanBloe

with the way humanity is today, there's no wonder a god thinks it's best to destroy us.

    All in all..

Let's show that 'god' we're not easy to be put down.

Believe in the Kamina that believes in you! :]

  • the biggest thing I got surprised is that there is a system of google translate for Latin.

    I'm wondering who uses it.

  • I want to make love to this song and make a bunch of little songs with it @_@ I love this brainmelting Anime @_@

  • WHOA

    WHOA

    TAKE A SHOWA!

  • @markxx3fun lol i thought of that too! XD

  • Wash the unwashable. Clean the uncleanable. Bro, bro, take a shower.

Cook the uncookable, bake the unbakable. Bro, bro, pass the flour.

  • 00:55

    "...BUT MIRA, MAS INCREDIBLE..."

    favorite line

  • I love gurren lagann

I love this song too! :D

  • @nazo019 Kick logic out and do the impossible!

If the will is there, anything is possible. Send out those exam papers with a gattai!

  • ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWER!

    ROW ROW FIRE FLOWER!

    ROW ROW EISENHOWER!

ROW ROW I LIKE JACK BOWER!

    ....ROW ROW SHYAMALAMA!

  • Una de las mejores canciones :)

  • at the end t it says go bro fight the power not row row fight the power

  • Ro Ro Fight The Power! :D I wanna Cosplay as Simon someday ;:'P

  • some of the rap subtitles are wrong but this is still AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

  • some of the rap subtitles are wrong

  • Okay guys I can see that you're all too concerned about the contradictory nature of the lyrics. Let me remind you once again that these lyrics came from 2 different songs. The rap vocals has been sampled from another song called ' Row row fight the power', which didn't have as pleasing instrumentals as the opera mix.

  • Isn't it neat that an anime actually causes people to be intelligently and sincerely philosophical? I mean, really. You people are making valid but respectful arguments. And it's not all just a bunch of prideful stupid people and prideful "intelligent" people on both sides of the fence turning the debate into a madhouse. Nice job, guys. I mean the points you guys are defending can be found offensive, but at least it's not a lot of the stupid crap using religion as an excuse.

  • @ACEnBEAKY intelligence, screw that, throw reason aside and do the impossible.

  • @leming400 ....0_o....sure.

  • @rgzdev If you check out an episode of Gurren Lagann after Simon beats the spiral king, where they were only showing flashbacks and how characters were drawn, you'll hear the rap lyrics on the background but over completely different instrumentals. The original sucked but mixing it with the opera and piano has turned it epic

  • @rgzdev that's because, the song libera me from hell samples the rap parts from a song called 'Row Row Fight the Power', the original song was very much percussive and was string based kind of like parade music

  • I would never have imagined lyrics like 'row row fight the powah' to have biblical themes to couple to :P

  • "Release me my lord" vs "raw raw fight the powah"

these seriously ain't th e same song.

  • Both part work, but they just don't go together very well.

  • >TwT its the first movie i made

    >movie

    >mfw

  • Check out my remix of Libera Me on my channel! And be sure to use earphones if you want to hear the bass playing on the background! Thanks!

  • This was a great shows so much action and the last episode so beautiful I see the world differently now. :')

  • Too Epic, a human shouldn't be able to handle that much epic. It basicly says that if yuo cant do it, who the hell cares, do it anyway. You say you can fly, ur just not trying hard enough, cant breathe under water, ur thinking to hard, just try hard. The world will be destroyed by an unstoppable force, how would you no that it cant be stopped if nobodys done it. Keep going, stop thinking, break reason and FIGHT DA POWA!!

  • Its singing in english dude so no need for eng subs

  • @Lostxsoul8o8 For the Latin Opera.... Moron... That wasn't in english.

  • Rap+Opera music=Impossible Epic-ness!!

  • been listening to this nearly nonstop the last few days >_> the anime and this song alone make me shed manly tears

  • @mrmeatyman hopefully happy and encouraged tears

  • The lyrics kinda remind me of a chatbox on an oldschool game. its cool though XD

  • You messed up some of the lyrics. (mostly just the harder to hear rap lines)

And the near constant image "twitch" is annoying on the eyes.

  • is there a none rap version?

  • @DuskCrunch180

    No they all have rap.

  • I get chills watching this every time just thinking about what is happening at this time.

  • i just listened to this 3 times in a row on 3 differant videos

  • I normally hate reap, but this song is just that epic.

  • @AllOtherToasters

This is not Rap/Opera. As you said, it is Epic. Much like Beowulf and Odysseus' tales were passed down from generation, a form of culture in and of themselves, so will this song survive as a testament to the power of humankind, the ability to progress, to evolve, to triumph over all challenges and survive. The spiral power that exists in their very DNA. We were both wrong. This is not Epic. It is THE Epic of its form.

  • @AllOtherToasters Woops, I meant to write rap and not reap

  • I'm not normally a rap/opera fan but this song is legend-wait-for-it.... Dary!

  • @CaptainHat12 I know it !!!!, i have a shitty notebook that can't handle a good edition video program, it was the best i could do, but i am planning to make a better version....lol you know, this video was actually recorded from the desktop, not saved by the program, LOL !

  • Whoever was matching up the translation and the Latin lyrics was badly off at times.

  • King Kittan is fine and ready to go! I borrowed one of Gurren Lagann's drills as a good luck charm...AND BELIEVE ME IM GONNA PUT IT TO GOOD USE! This is Simon's soul... Team Dai-Gurren's soul... Humanity's soul.. AND, ACTUALLY, IT'S MY SOUL! *Kittan's eyes glow with Spiral Power* DO YOU SERIOUSLY THINK IT'S GONNA BE WIPED OUT BY THE LIKES OF YOU?! *King Kittan's drill repairs itself and grows to a hundred times the usual size* KING...KITTAN...GIGA...DRILL...BREAKER!

  • Comment removed

  • @Kodaiaku *As Kittan fades away* So, this is the power of the Spiral. Not bad, not bad at all.

  • I'm normally not a fan of rap but this song is, WAIT FOR IT....

    BLOODY FUCKING AWESOME!

  • OPERA + RAP = THIS AMAZING SONG

  • gahhh this song gets me so pumped up WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?! ROW ROW FIGHT THA POWA!!!!!!!

  • TTGL, best anime, and good songs

    TTGL EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • first time i saw this lyric i thought that this song is talking about the illuminati....

"Touch the untouchable, break the unbreakable"

"a lot of things changed, we be waiting in vain"

"wow! Fakers wanna test me again"

    "Revolution ain't gonna televise"

"G is in your area, one of the toughest enigma"

"Just break the rule, then you see the truth"

"This is the theme of G coming trough baby"

    "Raw! Raw! Fight the power!"

BTW, this anime is the best....

  • Dai Gurren Lagann, with your drill I will break through the heavens and create and new world for humans to live in.

WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM!!!

  • @acidx3M Win. Sheer win.

  • Seeing the lyrics of the whole thing at once, it's kinda awesome. It's like the rap and the opera are arguing. The rap (Kamina's group) say nothing's going stop us, and then the opera (the anti-spirals) is all like, "Go to eternal rest" and the rap is all "We'll fight the power" and the opera is all like, "It is the will of god that you shall end" and the rap is all like, "Screw that, we'll take on God if we have to. Fight the power."

  • @starfyredragon thats the entire point of it :)

  • @starfyredragon Indeed, illuminati spread their philosophy as far as Japan.

  • @EmanBloe Is that neccesarrily a bad thing? At least with some of the philosophies?

  • @starfyredragon That's where your own judgement comes into play. I have no proof of what I'm advancing so I wouldn't force anything on anyone.

  • @starfyredragon um... (Libra me) is translated to Liberate me... or Save me... If you understand the lyrics you will see how both flow together in harmony. they are not 'arguing at all'... The "rap" part of it is of course talking about "fighting the power" while the Opera is asking for forgiveness.

  • @KilllerX I disagree. Even with the lyrics being "save me", Team Dai-Gurren was NEVER in the series having the attitude of "oh, save me". They grabbed their own destiny and fought every step of the way. They never asked for being saved. In many ways, the opera is the song of the anti-spirals, begging forgiveness for having ever risked being the spiral nemesis, and their chosen path to aleive their guilt is to prevent other spiral races from nearing the same, in a way becoming oppressive gods.

  • @KilllerX Well the proper translation of "Libera me" would be free me, just pointing that out :)

  • @starfyredragon I think the Opera is praying for them instead.

  • @MadForColors In the lyrics of the opera, it says god is all powerful. In the lyrics of the rap, it says fight the power. I think that's pretty obvious. On top of it, the space that the battle took place in was actually controlled and created by the anti-spirals. They were the masters of space-time there. They effectively were that area's gods, they flung the very starts of the sky, they destroyed worlds, and fought a war that shook the foundations of worlds.

  • @starfyredragon The Opera part didn't just praise god. It also begged him for freedom, and to be released from pain. That's exactly how the humans felt, I don't even have to assume this was that and that was referring to this. And I don't think the anti spirals wanted to be free or liberated, the universe was perfect for them when the spirals were held down. If you remember, the TTGL was also as powerful as the anti spirals.

  • @MadForColors I'm hearing both sides on this issue, the song being ambiguous. At first I'm hearing it from the humanists saying that the rap is about fighting God, or the attitude of despair and defeat that comes from it. And yet the opera seems to offer just as many things to say that at the same time they want God's help. Now that I see it, the negative take on it seems to fit better and make more sense, with a possible hint of wanting to think positive towards the idea of a loving God.

  • @MadForColors I would like to point out few points in the fight with the anti-spirals. ( see video pYlEoNUK3gQ) The anti-spirals harness the power of the creation of a universe and bend it to their will (two of the definitions of God). Simon says "We... *we by ourselves*... choose our tomarrow from the infinite universe!" and "This space is full of turmoil, you act like a king.." Simon says "My drill peirces the heavens." This isn't pious.

  • @kainemaxwell :( i know :(

  • can anyone believe this, 26 ppl missed the like button D:

  • the english translation of the latin is a real tear-jerker Q_Q

  • Even after 2 years of finishing this anime, I still adore it, I hate all other animes, no anime, NONE, topple the feat that Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan has made:

A Anime series that managed to fit one of the most epic storylines into a mere 30 or so episodes.

I have stopped watching anime since none were good as this.

Plus, I can actually go through an episode without one of the characters saying "WHAT?!?!?!?!" in a dramatic way infront of a retarded flashy background.

  • Lol i loved that at the end . WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WEE AREEEEEE!!!????????!?"!"

  • It's "Row! Row!".

  • THE DRILL IS MY SOUL!

  • I have to re see this series

  • raw raw.....

    doin it wrong

  • @Memington Isn't it: "BRO BRO, FIGHT THE POWER!!!"

  • @GohanLSSJ2

The "official" lyrics are raw raw, but in spirit its "ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH"

  • Thank you so much i have been looking for the lyrics for decades!

  • JUST WHO THE HELL... DO YOU THINK WE ARE!?

  • this is simon's soul, team diagurren's soul humanity's soul! AND ACTUALLY IT'S MY SOUL!

DO YOU SERIOUSLY THINK IT'S GOING TO BE WIPED OUT BE THE LIKES OF YYYOOOUUU!?

  • why do you need subtitles, the singer is black not speaking japanese or some shit

yall niggas be racist as fuk

  • @IFknHateUTube

    youtube. com/watch?v=D9MXRxSz53w

r u sure he's black? lol. you are obviously not black, cos 'nigga', dat be racist as fuck.

  • @1x0randomdude0x1 yo dawg, y u put kwoats around nigga like dat? i b blak as fuk 2 y u gotta h8 on a brutha lyke dat?

  • @IFknHateUTube The singers are most likely asian, and I think the subtitles were mainly for the "libera me from hell" part. Now please, quit pretending to be a badass black gangster because you sure as hell aren't one if you're watching gurren lagaan.

Honestly, you are a disgrace to black people, with the way you type and throw around nigga like it has no meaning. Do the world a favor and get the fuck out.

  • @IFknHateUTube ...you really are a dumshit to have that many mistakes...if you hate youtube than why are you on youtube? Oh and if you are black than your really one hell of a disgrace to the race.

  • they messed up too. it's "break the roof", not "rule".

  • where can I get this song?

  • Only acceptable rap/hiphop in my books.

  • The rap is just awful... like really bad, and it doesn't make any sense, yet this song still kicks ass XD

  • @EndlessWaltz24 it does make sense in context of the series.

  • I THINK IT IS RELLY GOOD

  • I hate rap, but this is an acception, just 'cuz its epic.

  • Nothing but epicness. Probably my favorite rap song.

  • this song just makes you wanna yell GIGA DRILL BBRRRREEEEEEEAAAKKKEEEEERRRRRRR!!!!

  • Its just... so fucking win....

  • I thought it was "niggaz wanna test me again" hahaha!

  • You skipped the "open the 3rd eye" line

  • i can't find this on i tunes can anyone help me

  • Man when you hear the piano after the opera part you know the shit is going down

  • @GhettoNanny HECK YEAH!!

  • only the rap rocks, they rest sucks

  • Awesome, but the lyrics sort of lag when they sing the words.

  • good luck, fellows

  • RIP Kamina and Kitan!

We will always have you in our hearts!

  • @x0xJesusx0x Don't forget the others. Like those two big guys, whatever their names are.

  • @frigs123 true, but Kamina and Kitan were my faves :D

  • Raw! Raw! Fight the Powah!

  • Just a quick Q: are their any other cool meshes of classical vocal arias with faster modern beats like this?

  • the rap is what makes it sound awesome

  • You mean with the piano and synth beats or just the aria? The aria is actually from the Requiem Mass, Libera Me to be precise.

  • @Darkgardevoir I do agree with you but its still ok, i for one hate rap but if its mixed with something like this, than i guess its ok. at least it isnt talking about sexual activities

  • @ Rei.

    Thus, the same person.

  • You're the shit for doing this video!

  • 1:40 i had no idea she had that skull clip.

  • Have you even seen the show? Or too busy looking at her 2D tits? Hahah.

  • @eeuphoriaddict Im a girl stupid

  • @TheRoya717 girls can look at tits 0.o

  • @TheRoya717 Your point?

  • ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWER!

Kamina, Kittan, Simon, ALL OF THEM.

They lived, died fought and this theme personifies it!

This is the theme of life, death, and ETERNITY!

  • This song screams, "We came to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And, while we are unsure what bubble gum is due to living our entire lives underground in a post apocalyptic wasteland, we are quite sure we are out of it and will therefore only kick ass. Though, please note, even if we were in possession of gum, we would still kick ass, though it would be whilst chewing the aforementioned bubble gum. WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM!?"

  • I love you. D:

  • You good sir just blown my mind!

  • lmao what?

  • @NecronomiPod you win good sir

    have a good life

  • @NecronomiPod *wipes a tear from his eye* that is beautiful.
