  • Poor JPJ? He loves this. He is making good music that very many people will hear for the first time in thirty years!

  • Amazing!

  • I agree with Cookie Monster Metal.

This ain't no Led Zeppelin, that's for sure.

    Poor JPJ.

  • That cracked me up ClocRymesWitCar01.

Hey everybody, there are 3 in the band which makes this album great.

  • Night's in my veins, it's calling me,

    racing along these arteries

  • Holy shit this whole album is so addictive! Can't stop listening to it

  • Josh isn't a "horrible singer." His style is somewhat sleezy. That's what makes it stand out.

  • these days , people are not used to a singer with balls and attitude . They would rather hear some emo freak mumbling and whining . Sad

  • !!!

    ...that riff made my day...

  • each generation had it´s heros, at last we have our

  • Normally I can go all night long (wooo...) but I came halfway through that song!

  • haha

  • Dave.. what have you done.. get your vocals up dude

  • No passion? What, your big idea would be to go all American Idol and spatter a generic, octave-eating voice over it like a paint gun because that's "passion" to you?

  • no passion or feeling? what a ridiculous thing to suggest.

    he is an incredible singer

  • shut up melody fag

  • Dude - seriously, you have no idea what you're talking about! Can't imagine anyone else singing these tunes and doing them justice. You are a buffoon man!

  • You're a fucking moron. :V

  • seriously, these guys are fuckin' bad ass rock stars. you think they have all this integrity and bullshit when it comes to rock and roll!?!? just bang your head. it fucking rocks, everyone should listen to this. don't get me wrong, they do have convictions.... being that they'll always kick ass.

  • actually, if you wanna come correct about it, this is far more noisier than mainstream music.. and that's why i like it.. it's raw. it's a little dissonant and i like it. i really doubt this stuff will get a lot of radio play, but god i hope it does. mainstream music WAS actually good at one time...... just saying....

  • I hate elitist punks. This rocks. I suppose that you think that Led Zeppelin is just noise, too. Go diddle with your acoustic guitar or listen to Joe Satriani or something. Leave us to our noise.

  • I wouldnt call this sell out music, it dosnt sound like all the other crap out, but im going to give it time, maybe 2 more albums, as long as they sound different, then im not a fanboy for no reason ^^

  • @CookieMonsterMetal haha well clearly you're an expert

  • I am amazed at the number of people who believe that their own opinion regarding the quality of music really would matter at all to anyone else . Even to the point where they would try and tell people that the music they are clearly enjoying is not entertaining . Guess we were wrong , TCV fans , old "cookiemonster" says it's no good. Cretin .

  • arguing on the internet is EXACTLY like the special olympics; you may have won, but your still retarded.

  • fag

  • Attacking spelling and grammar?

you have no thoughts on the topic at all? dude...why even post, you forgot to actually think before you posted.

    As for my imperfect grammar...

    i like triple dot pauses...

Next time try this...pause...think...then type. Dude...do you really go online and spend your time attacking spelling and grammar?...that is just plain sad. ...sigh.

  • haha a "trained ear". I'm sure you're so sophisticated that you can understand this music better than any mere mortal.

  • stupid fucking comment

  • When i saw them live, i remember this song so well for some reason.. i remember JPJ was in such a groove for this song, and Grohl was going nuts..

    Best night of my life!!

    TCV FTW!!!

  • fuck yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • uma das melhores bandas de rock que ja escutei mto bom :)

  • Gotta' love almost everything Homme makes...

    Although I fuckin' miss Kyuss.

  • this album is a fuckin' beast, hope it's the first of many

  • Got into Vultures because of Jones and Grohl. Josh is amazing. Saw two shows. Love his Bowie meets Eno meets Bryan Ferry vocal stylings and lyrics. Surreal.

  • Copyright infringement!!!!

  • Best album of the year hands down! No one else is even close!

  • 1.foo fighters

    2.led zeppelin

    3.Them crooked vultures

    4.QOTSA

    ... love em all :)

  • this band is amazing.

  • This is my favorite, along with Elephants. I actually think that Them Crooked Vultures are better than all of the individual bands. Don't get me wrong, I love all 3 of their bands and own just about all of their albums. (I'm missing some Zep.) These songs are just so original and complexly built. I hope this isn't a one time only sort of deal. I haven't heard all of the album yet. I'm waiting 'till it comes out. I've heard 5 songs in their entirety so far, and that's all for now.

  • @BioclamProductions zep is better...

but this band is fucking awesome too...

queens of the stone age fan here...

  • And a NIN fan, too judging from your channel picture. Another good group. I'm sorry, but I haven't even finished this album, and it's already my favorite album of all time. The spot used to be occupied by In Utero by Nirvana and The Eternal by Sonic Youth. Maybe this'll give my backgroup of music. Love Zep, love Foos, love QOTSA, but I could marry this. I won't be able to sleep Monday night. =]

  • at first i was a little bit disappointed because the live versions were so epic but now i like this song and its one of my favs. its the typical epic dave grohl drum play and an awesome rock beat.

  • hell dave grohl!

  • these guys are just like three freaking rock all stars. they all keep rock alive. i think rock keeps John Paul Jones alive though

  • Yes these guys are "just like" 3 rocks stars. Self'd

  • Aaah good one. Like all great bands they need to stay together til someone dies or goes insane!!!

  • They are already insane, they are so fucking good. And they can't die, they are immortal.

  • Everything Josh Homme does is phenomenal. He pretty much singlehandedly kept rock and roll alive in the early 2000s, and he's still the best thing out there. I'm still getting used to how awesome the Eagles of Death Metal are, and now he comes out with this.

He should donate sperm. That way we can preemptively protect rock music from the next wave of bands like Seether and Breaking Benjamin.

  • he has one daughter who pays him in spaghetti Os

  • bb rocks i dont care what u think but thats my opinion

  • Sorry, MrJessnpat -- didn't mean to offend! I guess they're just not my cup of tea.

  • breaking benjamin sucks shit, and if you're actually impressed by their mediocre trying-so-hard-to-be-mainstream sound, you're probably impressed by your high school principal.

THIS is talented, true music. Breaking Buttholes are not.

  • that is what revelwoodie is trying to say :P

  • Cranking up the Vultures is the new "cranking up the Led". This is the kind of exciting hard rock this decades needs more of.

  • I totally agree with your opinion this is the music we (I) need nowadays

  • I've got the new album already! Pre-orderd, didn't pay shipping costs:). As you would know, the album is awesome but it's always better to have the thing in your hands rather than listening on your computer!

  • Boom! Album is out in Ireland now!

  • Seriously!? What county and/or shop?

  • Any, It's everywhere kid.

  • sic tune! I dig the bridge leading up to the final verse.

  • ooooh yea breed too. you're right. it's like a mix of the two.

  • breed .

  • this song sounds like very ape.

  • ditto

  • Comment removed

  • but that band sucks

  • 0:13 - 0:18 Best 5 seconds on the album for me.

  • i kno what u mean, but the riff tht kicks in on Spinning in Daffodils is awesome aswel

  • do we have a website w/ their lyrics?

  • this one reminds me of nirvana a lot, im sure dave's had the most influence in this one.

  • Dave Grohl didn't have much of an influence on Nirvana's sonority, I think you would have a better idea of how things sounds right into his mind by listening to the Foo Fighters (which I'm not really a fan, to be honest).

The last part of this song however is giving me an audiorgasm. This is getting better as you go through all the songs.

  • maybe at the time he didn't, but now I'm certain he wanted to pay his tribute to nirvana here. after all, they made dave. and foo fighters are pretty good, although i'm already preferring tcv.

  • As he said he was by far convinced Foo Fighters was better than Nirvana, I couldn't really tell... But I agree after a second thought the drum does taste like Nirvana's... Definitely.

  • yeah, it was the drums that made me compare this to nirvana, rather than the whole song. i think it's hard to compare foo fighters and nirvana, nirvana seem darker, harder.

  • You can't be blamed for that since Grohl was the drummer for Nirvana. His style and genius is unmistakable.

  • @MrUrethra i actually think the drums taste more like Qotsa SONGS FOR THE DEAF album.. coz its dave and Josh at it again... and yea, im not the biggest fan of FF's .. their first album was awsome, but that was entilry dave grohl all by himself.. after that i kinda reckon they sold out.. NO OFFENSE THO.. ; )

  • there was no selling out

  • true, but i really dont like the current foos that much, and they did get alot more mainstream with one by one and on. plus their new music, wheels is alright, but that other new song fucking sucked

  • They did sell-out. I hate what the fooeys have become, especially in squeezing out the dicklessness that is "wheels"

  • Wheels :(

  • This fuckin ROCKS!!!!

  • eargasm

  • Oh my.. I'd been wishing for them all to get together(again.)

    Le sigh...

  • its not that i drink to much, i just post drunk too much

  • I'm calling it right now. This album will be historic.

  • Yes crooked vultures are the shit !

  • Beautiful music...

  • i vote for josh as spaker of the house....FUCK PELOSI

  • No way bro! You should be spaker of the house!

  • @Satavian You must be a conservative. I can feel the hate!

  • Yeeha!

Classic Rock is ALWAYS gonna be around!!!

This kinda music always sounds better LIVE n LOUD....

  • this should be their first single/video

    awesome song!!

  • My favorite on the album.

  • OK they're obviously not ripping off anyone, notice how there's so many more rythmic changes with the drums and bass lines than almost any other rock band out now you can tell they just all have a ton of ideas and can really play their instruments. I would say it sounds like just good old classic rock mostly but that's not a bad thing its a great contrast to all those screamo bands and crap out today.

  • jep, maybe because hommes got Dave an awasome drummer and John Paul Jones maybe the best bassist player of all time as well as the fact that he plays tonns of other instruments.

  • @aczeppelindc2908 Couldn't agree with you more on JPJ. J PJ's other instruments are all custom built. LIke 6 and 8 string bass guitars, 12 string pedal bass. check out the vid with his 8 sting slide guitar.

  • Josh Homme...the man who saved Rock&Roll!!!!!!!!!

  • AW-SUM!! Fucking amazing...thought it wouldnt be?

  • the background is from the battery acid promo thing

  • fav song

  • "This band sucks! All they're doing it ripping off nirvana queens and the mighty Zep! And they end up sounding like a sexy modern Cream in the process." I don't see a problem with this, sounds like magic to me, hail to the re-birth of rock.

  • Fuck yah, these guys can play and have 0 reason to rip anyone off. Love Rockin!

  • How are they ripping off those bands when these guys were in those bands...You can't plagerise or copy yourself...

  • You fool.

How can you rip of your own bands??

If their songs sound like these band then its obvious that these people were huge influences in the making of their music. You can't just magically change your style!!

I'm going to slap you like I slapped people that bitched about Audioslave sounding like RATM!!!!

  • Who you callin' foo' you FOO'! haha Dude just take time to read what I wrote next time. I agree with you completely. Have a good day foo'

  • The quotes might have been hard to discern, but if you notice them you'll see I was mocking the people who complain about this band.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah but Audioslave was all right. THIS SHIT IS INCREDIBLE.

  • Yeah. Their last two albums were pretty good, but I prefer Chris' masterpiece Euphoria Morning. Basically sounded like a vocal centered Soundgarden album. Not quite as rockin' but a little more depth.

  • you guys are some master-debaters..

  • It's blues for the grunge generation. Listen to some of this shit. Kurt Cobain couldn't play those guitar parts unless he was on the good herein.

  • yea kind of but not really

  • Glad i got to see them at show #11. The cat's out of the bag now :)

  • I think this is my favourite. anyone else?

  • i agree

  • Awsome song!

  • YES! Preorder!

  • You A. Don't listen to Nirvana much. B. Haven't listened to this song. C. Don't know what you are talking about.

  • @bbqtriangle yeah right..

  • oh shoosh, silly child, everything is a rip off of Nirvana for fanboys

ps. i like nirvana but thats silly

  • And anyway, being Nirvana´s drummer, Grohl could have brought some influence from there (and he has perfect right to do it). Not everything that came out of Nirvana had to come necessarily from Kurt.

  • It sounds nothing like it...

  • friggin tix to see them at the wiltern sold out on the friggin presale in hours :(

  • I like this song, but it is better live. Which is the case for all sick bands

  • "I can tell by that look in your eye. We're the same, my dead end friends and I"

  • Awesome! Best song of the album with Spinning in Daffodils =)

  • I'm gonna defintely buy this :D. Awsome :O) Love it...

  • amazing.... 9 more days and imma see them at the FOX theater!!! im am so pumped, sence i had to buy the tickets before i heard all their music, but it was worth it

  • i would totally buy this album but im a broke ass guitar player. so yeah. fuck.

  • What happened to the lead guitar? It's completely buried in this studio version :(

  • Well down here in Australia we are getting the album on the 13th for some strange reason that we are not complaining about!

Nice to be able to hear it before then and know taking a punt on buying the gig tickets for January without hearing anything is going to be well worth it - Dave continues to rock!!

  • SHIT, dude, is that for real? That's awesome! I'm seeing them at the Riverstage, are you seeing em live anywhere?

  • im spraying cum everywhere :)

also, in my country (Italy) the album will be available starting from the 16th of November, and my birthday is the 19th. I dont really know if I should buy the album the first day or give myself this beautiful present 3 days later :)

thanks anyway guys. Just looking forward for the next QOTSA's album now ;)

  • 1:52 : On a Rope by RFTC

  • stfu

  • denial

  • Sounds almost exactly like the Easybeats "I'll make you happy"

  • your right the guitar sounds the same lol

  • It's all good!

  • fuck yes, the fillimore in detroit. the day after my 19th b-day

  • Great init?

  • mmmm

  • Jesus Christ. Is this really happening?

  • mmmmmmmmmmm!!!

  • This was definitely the stand out track, the others are good too but this song rocks, especially live. Saw these effers twice in one week!

  • I'm SO going to their concert!!!

  • good on yaaaa

  • At night!

  • Ich kann ja garnicht fassen, dass die CD bei uns eher als in den USA erscheint! Cant wait!!!!

  • I drive all alone .

  • yheaaaaa suena de huevos es el mejor rock!!

  • The best of the album

  • Reptiles or Gunman, def. the best on the album.

  • I still really like this song, but I gotta say it is a bit disappointing after hearing the live version. Dead End Friends sounds like a wicked cacophony of hard-punching rock live, and here, it sounds more laid back and funky. Still good, just not what I was hoping to hear from a studio version.

  • plymouth pavillions- december 10th. cant wait

  • Fuck, I couldn't get any tickets for that show - wish I could be there -

  • yeah, i was lucky enough to get the option to book them 2 days before they came out for general sale cos i subscribed to ther mailin list thingy. its gonna be an immense night. need to find a cheap hotel/hostel tho cos wer cummin from belfast

  • I live in Chicago and was out of town during their Metro debut. Fuck my life.

  • @clearlypellucid For all the overuse of "FML", THIS I strongly agree with (had I been in your shoes).

  • Im off there too. You got your tickets yet?

  • nah. i emailed them about it but they said they dont normally send the tickets out til about 2 weeks before the sis or so. better get here on time!

  • Yum!

  • im buzzing my back off wi this stuff shit yea!!

  • On a rope, on a rope got me hanging on a rope!!!

  • This is TOO good!

  • December 11th Portsmouth Guildhall. Get ya tickets my brothers.

  • Its sold out man! We did a cover of this before it came out!!

  • the best one so far

  • Awesome!
