  • Apsara is not Khmer nor Thai. Apsara is from the Hindu mythology-The Churning of the Ocean of Milk(Samudra Manthan). Khmer and Thai should stop being so ethnocentric about this subject, and should rightfully acknowledge and credit India for this great cultural influences!

  • Actually it was in 2000.  I remember after the "makor" dance..they invited the monks to come on stage and chant a blessing before the millenium countdown, followed by robam komrong pka, but I guess angkorwat didn't add that part in :(
