I have a friend that does Shou Shu and he did that Kata for me and it looked a lot different. Her weapons seem to be really extented from what I know about shou shu and her kicks were not really kicks.
To Modesto Homeboy. I don't want to worry about turning my hips in a fight either that is why I practice so it just happens. If my hips don't turn in a fight I am in big trouple.
@thepile95 dont be dumb, Clark studied for almost 40 years with da shifu moore. so why all of a sudden it would not be moores? yeah shou shu, thats what i do too., and no one would have stopped my seminar, and yeah i teach shou shu to who ever. its not all original, those who were there at the beginning know some of the base techs are from bok fu do, yeah richard lee... al moore srs teacher. da shifu took it to a new level.
@thepile95 whatever! you wont have time to worry about your hip motion and such in a real fight, your only concern is not getting hit and hitting whoever is trying to bomb on you.
@loboxfish Yes different than a lot of things I would imagine. Very often the cobra is taught with more of a tiger base. Understandable since learning the floating foot is very difficult. Once it was taught using mantis feet. Theory being mantis had the fastest feet, cobra the fastest hands. Sounded good except feet on a cobra just slows him down.
Years ago that it was to be taught in a seminar. Da' Shifu stopped him and ended the seminar right there. Said to never do it again.

Nope not Moore's. Yes it's true she's short cutting her hip motion. She tends to do that, as many do, when performing in front of crowds.
