Haha I raise these things from birth every summer. I've been doing it for a while now. The plants they eat are in my back yard and I have four caterpillars right now and one of them pupated like an hour ago it's really cool to watch.

OMG SILVERFISH ON THE WALL IN THE BEGINNING! Silverfish are fuckin DISGUSTING, me and my mom see them all the time and just freak out. I killed one at my old house right in the living room that was legit almost 6 inches long.

umm ok but it wasnt breathing heavy it was barely moving at the end every second of that clip was actualy ten second so it was barely even moving in normal time... how would you figure a catterpillar breaths heavily after making a chrysalis

They hatch from the egg in 3-12 days, then spend about 2 weeks as a catapillar, they pupate and then spend about 2 more weeks in the chrysalis. As an adult they live for up to 2 months.
