@pkdiddy what is all these comments? any probelm with a very beutiful girl?
Terra Preta is one of the major methods for assuring great food for many, survival of small farms and a lot more. Male domination may be behing industial argiculture that destroys soil, and it is behind the fight against the feminine rainforests.
lol those are not real.. Come on now, the evidence is right there in all the videos. It's obvious they are fake.. It's easy to tell. They're too firm/stiff looking. When she walks or is in certain positions you can easily tell.. It's ok though, they look good and she's hot, so nobody should lie.. Just my opinion..
She's a hot thing alright, but if you look at some of the older videos you'll see she wasn't born with that rack. I prefer soft and saggy over large and firm. She seems like a great gal anyway though. Not like most women with fakes - they seem to be snotty and insecure. Denise seems pretty down to earth. Not stereotypical.
@GREENPOWERSCIENCE Wow. They look larger in some vids. I don't mean any disrespect either - I was simply making what I thought was an accurate observation to another's comment.
Either way you seem have a jewel of a wife and I don't just refer to her outward beauty - welcome to the club I am equally as blessed. ;-)
@GREENPOWERSCIENCE , LOL you tell'em Dan, you do have a very nice wife and not really knowing either of you other than your videos I'd say she has a nice hubbie too. Please continue to complement each other.
did you see the way she handled that worm and melon?, like milk and homey, looks like our boys in green have been flying over Dan's property waiting on Denise to sunbathe, bet that place gets buzzed 3 or 4 times a day in the summer, some guys have all the luck
PS the locals in Thailand make and use charcoal all the time with a similar process, but without the water. They build a fire ring and put the wood in the center of the ring and cover it. The wood never catches fire and is slowly heated and dried until all that remains is charcoal.
I didn't know it could be made by simply dousing with water before it turned to ash. Simple and free without need for a kiln or fancy equipment. Thanks for the great tip!
BTW, I would not have clicked on this video had she not been in the thumbnail.
I did learn something, and plan to investigate further.
And, yes, i think she is hot and was distracted by her, um, assets. It's called human nature, men like beautiful women with curves and, well..., I wont go any further with that. I had to watch it twice to relisten to the message, but I never would have been here if the thumbnail was Bill Nye or Al blowhard Gore.
@wacicu Who do you think sells? Dr. Science, or this beautiful woman? If people aren't listening, do you really think calling them stupid is going to make them listen more than HER telling them? I, for one, call for more like her, preferably in bikinis, educating on conservation and natural science, in a non-preachy-benefits oriented way, instead of nagging, no-shave hippie girls screaming at us to save the planet, or we are a-holes. I conserve either way, I just prefer this method of education.
Listen to her message instead of being stupid! The message is simple and good for all of us with a garden. And for all of us that wants to save Mother earth!
You guys have a lot of air traffic,.....keep it green as you can....CHEMTRAILS......especially with your government. oop's did I just say that google has just put me straight in contact with the CIA...Hello....
Another method for creating the biochar necessary for terra preta is through the use of gasification which not only leaves behind the biochar, it also produces a syngas that is suitable for use in an internal combustion engine or for cooking.
Grow up. Try to be at least slightly respectful and do your troll fap in silence and without comment. She actually provided information and has no cause to be judged for dress or hidden agendas.
I give thanks to you and Dan for your vids and efforts.
@baadshepherd If she had a small top it would have turned my head; but her and her hubby always have interesting things to bring to the table; but I have to confess that her pretty face was partly why I clicked. The thought that comes to mind regarding a few other distasteful comments (not your question), is how a male would feel if his penis was up for public scrutiny while trying to address a totally unrelated topic. Peace.
@czad916 if you want people to take your comments seriously you should at least
try to hide your OBVIOUS JEALOUSY.It has to be one of the ugliest traits a woman could have.I myself refuse to have anything to do with an insecure jealous woman.
now this is just a guess, but I'll bet you don't know shit about gardening.I could be wrong.so do you wear your farragamos(sp?)when you work in the yard. Please enlighten everyone here WHAT IS THE PROPER ATTIRE FOR WORKING THE YARD. JEALOUSY=PATHETIC.
@rathat48 yeah that's the reason why it is darker. but the dry soil that she showed would never be as dark as the other one. one more reason why it is wet is because of the char.
Now the property is still a junkyard with tree's lol. sorry. I couldn't help but notice that doing this solar stuff seems to mean your house is gonna look like wattos place.
@Acewick1 heyyyyyyyyy shes a beautiful woman ,,,but aint gona get a job in tv ,no matter how hard this couple trys, hidden agenda i think ,the phrase is ,..pole dancin on utube shed be hotter yhan any solar panel 4 sure ,,lol xxxxxxxx luv u mrs RO ASS
Hmm... I think I meant to say that all people need to do is be a bit more careful with their organic matter 'waste' than just letting it rot.... bon-fires can be OK for charcoalization I see :()
Its so crazy that all U need to do is burn OM a bit more carefully than just chucking it on a bonfire and U get the No.1 miracle of life (if U mix the charr with soil).... TERRA PRETA !!
Brief comment: burning does oxidize and volatilize a lot of carbon. If carbon sequestration within soil were the aim (as higher carbon -> higher soil organic content -> abundance of life), the best sequestration strategy would be compost. It definitely takes a much longer time, but a much smaller proportion of energy stored in the organic matter is dissipated as heat, compared to a process of violent oxidation (a.k.a fire).
Really soothing to be watching beautiful lady, while sharing her wisdom with us. I learned some interesting facts about the soil cultivation too. Nice work. Thanks.
We really need to get you guys down to The Roosevelt in Ybor to do some workshops. We are about to start the vertical gardens inside and we're working a borrow pit where we'll be amending the soil with bio-char from pyrolysis.
Terra preta is a very old gardening technique that work fantasticly. Our modern age is looking for ways to sequester carbon, here it is. Love the videos by the way, clear, concise and well presented. Keep them coming.
I liked the video but am not sure it was just because Denise is hot or not..;) It wasn't really informative, more of a teaser video. I will have to watch some of the other ones to see if the composting ones are more informational and more to my liking from a scientific standpoint.
Burning hardwoods can also be used to produce activated charcoal which is needed for water filtering processes. Do some research on pyrolysis, activated charcoal, and other carbon forms. There's quite a lot of stuff you can do if you know how to manipulate the burning process.
You folks are doing an amazing job in enlightening mobs about alternative energy concepts. Keep it up and you will see the change in attitude of millions in your own life time. Blessings!
So what your saying here is? I get that your maybe saying that all this hype in the "solar panel" industry or residential area may or may not be so great. Hum I can certainly see the down side here, no plants meaning no life forms..... Really good stuff I like your video, it makes sense and you also convey your message clearly. Thanks
I think the reason they didn't let it burn to ash is because wood ash raises the PH levels in your soil... which can be a good thing if you are having trouble in that regard, but I would advise against spreading your ashes all over your yard.
@Breal191_ Separate the charcoal and ash with a 1 cm screen. The charcoal goes in the compost and the ash you put on weeds to kill them. The synergy between charcoal and compost gives you better composting and speeds up the Terra Preta process.
A while ago i watched a show how the ancient native tribes fertilized their soil. it was either in Central or South America. they harvested the tribes fecies. i believe they burned it with wood. the soil was like ash and charcoal. is that a viable way to improve the soil? i believe it was called Terra Preta. Has anyone else hear of this method? later!
Terra Preta is of great interests to us Russians. We have indoor farms using the mittleider artificial hydroponic soil, we tried mixing low temperature charcoal powder with it plus added generous amounts of rock dusts powders and we have the mixture innoculated with compost as a biological activator. How they did it they will say when it is the right time. But one thing is for sure, yields are higher, growth rates faster, pests and diseases non-existent, and the personnel are healthier.
El video es muy bueno e informativo, felicidades me podias decir en que proporcion se debe incorporar el carbon al terreno, por tu respuesta muchas gracias.

I love a woman who doesn't mind getting her hands dirty every once in a while.
Question, SO if one puts some of the charcols from the fireplac in our garden will that help fertilize it?
How about the ash, I don't think so based on what you said.
