Its strange to hear American ally's argue over who's Americas lapdog or who is in Americas shadow. If Canada is in america's shadow its because America serves as your shield, behind which you sit in the enviable position of relative peace and prosperity in this world without being in the same peril & As for England, the pound is independent of the euro and is far stronger than the dollar, England doesn't need to choose between the U.S. and the E.U. nor does Canada for that matter.

I like England, I think it has a great history and a great culture, I just find it sad that it ends up being the lapdog of one of its former colony... And that the leading power in the commonwealth is the United states. I think (know) the UK has more in common with the EU than with the US.

Europe is the biggest market in the world, and would be the #1 economic power. It only lacks cohesion.

But of the bank owners and high level executives (who clearly knew about the money laundering) , not a single person has been indicted for the crime. Reason? The beneficiaries of the money are the Top 400 families, who are apparently above the law. The US gov't decided to let 'em walk.
