  • I am getting my films confused. The same comment about loneliness is on this film too!!

  • What worries me Alan is that in another video, you didn't just get undressed and change clothes in a wide open public car park in the middle of Verdun (I think) but you then tell your audiance that you did! I was half expecting to see the Police move in off camera.

News headlines: "English Man arrested for streaking in an empty car park. No victims found."

Did find it quite amusing though.

  • That is in the first Nuremburg film! Temperature around freezing but I still managed to change my clothes!

I often change my clothes completely and have a wash in the car but I do it in stages when no-one is around!!

  • You wash in your car!?! I have visions of CCTV operators staring in amazement at the going-ons in this car from Poland they have spotted.

  • I suppose it is better than being dirty!!

When I get the money, I will buy a camper van to my specs!

  • The battle began on 21 February 1916 and "officially" lasted until 18 December 1916. I have read a lot about this battle and still cannot get my mind around the enormity of it. I also generally take my "military" trips to US battlefields alone as both my daughter and girlfriend are bored to tears by history.

  • Slightly off the subject of Alan's video, thought you might want to check out my channel VideoHistoryToday. I've been to several Civil War battlefields in the States you might find interesting.

  • I would also like to plug your really interesting channel too - lots to see on it for the historian!!

  • That is one of the problems with women!! For the contrary argument see my film on Verdun (the city) and the final comment!!

I took a former girlfriend to see a stack of Hitler memorabilia that turned up in London and she did not complain once. If there had not been such an age difference I would happily have married her!

  • In fairness, the GF is Austrian, so the history of the US has no special allure for her.

  • You would have been interested in Austrian history, so that is not much excuse!!

(I think I will be a homosexual in my next life to avoid these problems!!)

  • Heck, I've taught _her_ about Austrian history. She is interested in that-- to an extent. Ahhh women . . .

  • She is just not interested.

This is the problem. Finding one that is suitable. That is why I am still single! (I might get married when I grow up!)

  • Been there and done that TWICE (God help me). The second one got all my money and the house. DON'T DO IT!

  • I always listen to people with experience!!

It is better to be lonely than with the wrong person!
