2.4L is a 171 horsepowers how many PSI? now you are at 257WHP TURBO.

hey about clutch slipping he is right....i got a 2.4l hanh stage 2 turbo kit in mine and i just melted the inside of m transmission from the clutches slipping to much and heating up a lot.....just make sure u get a trans mission cooler asap and also get a tunning so ur shifting is tighter or ur gonna be like me paying 3 grand for a rebuilt tranny with no warranty cuz oif the aftermarket turbo kit :/

If its an Auto 4t65, look up dave TEP tranny man, hes by far the most experienced with this transmission.

If you take the base cobalt ss without the sc or the tc, and put one in yourself.. you get more hp.. thats exacly what im doing to my ss

In 2006 Chevy introduced the 2.4L SS/NA (naturally asperated) Cobalt. It is now in 2008 just called the Sport retaining the same engine.. Silly GM I still like my N/A 06 SS as I don't want the headaches that come with a turbo.. Well it comes down to cha ching lol.. Nice to know this car is running around somewhere though. :)

the 08 sport is NA, it doesn't come with a turbo, this is a custom set up.

yea for the past few years while the sssc was being made gm also had the ss that was a 2.4 non supercharged motor with 175hp stock. the 2.0 was the cobalt sssc or as most of u know it as cobalt ss supercharged.

The ss comes with 2.0l supercharged it would have to be the cobalt sports with the 2.4l

This is the 2.4 SS a N/A engine. Not the SS Supercharged that comes with the 2.0 SC.
