  • Hey mate, great playing. Would you consider doing a video tutorial on how to setup addictive drums to your Yamaha kit? For noobs like me? lol. I'm getting a Yamaha 500k soon and I'd love to know how to get it to sound this good, thanks.

  • @FaithIsAccidental Hey there. Thanks. I am glad to hear that. Well to be honest there are 3 videos I have posted on how to set up AD with your yamaha and some recording basics. then again I am not actually showing how i did the cabling there but there is a section that i talk about the gear i am using and i think i am describing how exactly to get it sorted out if i can recall correctly. hope you would find them useful to against your inquiry. cheers.

  • Hello friend, very good video, I need help as I have a kit with addictive drums DTXplorer, the problem is that when I do the connection is not detected all the shots you make, not make it, I use FL Studio 8 I hope I can help:)

  • @LinkDS hello. many thanks for watching. first off, i am not using FL but the idea should be the same but as far as I can tell from what i understand from your comment is you have a lot of lag or latency. that could be caused by a number of reasons, but the most common one is your computer's performance and your sound interface if you have one. if your hardware is ok, then you should probably look into your asio drivers. cheers.

  • Hey can you please tell me what kit is this from Addictive Drums ? I love the snare, it sounds really good and your drummings makes it better :D Cheers !

  • @Hellscream90 hey there. many thanks. i am glad you liked it. if i can remember correctly, this was the sonor designer kit with sonor designer snare and again if i am not mistaken, i have muted the room mics from the room nob all the way in the mixer that's all. i don't recall tweaking this kit any further. so nothing special at all other than no room sound. many thanks for the compliments. cheers!

  • Hi, nice video !

    2 questions:

-Is is live-playable with a midi connection to the PC, I mean: Is there any lag ?

-And is the Roland pad very différent from the Yamaha's one ?

  • @drytaffin hey there! glad you liked it. :)

    2 answers:

-it wouldn't be accurate to say my system you see in the video has no latency (lag) as it is not possible but it should be a value represented in miliseconds that is within acceptable margins that it is not noticable to human ears in playing and recording. so therefore i should say no, this is in realtime.

-in terms of technology, roland pad was made with a meash head and has two zones(triggers) for the head and the rim

  • @drytaffin ..... separately, whereas yamaha pads you see in this kit are made of vinyl and are single zone. so i would say yes, both the utilization and feel (in terms of size and rebound) are different from each other. but before buying the roland pad, i was using the standard yamaha pad for the snare for a long time and had no problems with it. cheers.

  • @tolgapala OK, thank you for the answers, I'll try to find a Midi to USB cable (even if it's expensive, just for a so little thing) because I feel limited with default sounds, some are great if you tune it yourself but not that many.

About the Roland pad I knew it was a mesh head equiped pad, I wanted to know if it was REALLY different compared to rubbers pad. It was a stupid question since I think there is an huge gap in feeling terms.

    Kisses from France :)

  • @drytaffin no worries. my pleasure. :) good luck with your setup and it was not a stupid question at all. cheers.

  • nice, dude.., works ok with double pedal? is it hard to set it up n use other sounds from the computer? thanks!

  • @persini sure does. the kick pad has more than enough area to accomodate two beaters and works perfectly. it is not hard at all to assign (map) other sounds from the computer. may be tricky if you are not familiar with the stuff but there are tons of resources around the net and even in here at youtube. check out some other videos i posted where i talk about drum mapping and all. cheers.

  • How did you make PDX8 work with the yamaha brain, it is an easy operation? It requires any special adapter? And What do you suggest me to do? Thanks in advance and continue your great work!

  • @aromano many thanks for the comment. it actually required no additional effort or special adapter. it is connected just like the other pads to the brain with a 1/4 jack input. fotunately yamaha dtxplorer brain supports stereo input (only for the snare connection) so i was able to connect the pdx8 and utilize both the rim and the head trigger. you need to tweak around a little though to set up the pad to your playing conveniences, that's it. cheers.

  • @tolgapala how easy is it to utilise the rim trigger? I have read the trigger type used in Rolands, differs from the Yamahas and read that this would mean only the head would work, is this wrong? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

  • @sdawg96 i am not sure how to respond to your question regarding "how easy" it would be. all i can say is yamaha brain is compatible with stereo input, so two signals from two separate triggers could be processed. this means the rim trigger is also utilized. however the drumbrain by default senses the rim as cross-stick but that also doesn't matter if you are using a plugin as you could map it to whichever drum part you please. hope this helps.

  • Hi Man, I've watched your videos and you're really good, congratulations!

I have a Dtxplorer and I want to upgrade some pads but its dificult to get any good info on the web. I like to pick a Roland PDX8 for the snare like you did and maybe a full piece Crash of 2 zones and then use the original crash as the Hi-Hat. One reason is for noise reduction, I think a mesh snare and the PCY65 in HiHat would be less noise for my neighbours and ave more response and zones for my set with a low cost.

  • your the boss. awesome job mate

  • @AussieSirGT hey there! cheers mate! i am very glad you like it. many thanks.

  • How you get this backings track?

  • @ACDC662 if i can recall correctly, the link that contains this and a couple of more was posted on a drummers forum or some forum that has something to do with recording and audio.

  • @tolgapala And how you conect the 3 cymbal on your drum set?

  • @tolgapala And what is the program that you use for drums? And how you record the drums?

  • @ACDC662 it is addictive drums hence the title. :) i am using cubase as my host to record my drums using ad as the drum plugin. i have posted a couple of instructional videos on how to set this up so you might want to check those out as well. may seem a bit boring with no action but i tried to explain the very basics so they might be of some use if not the best instructional videos.

  • Hi, friend. I'm interesting in lean to play drums. The DTXplorer must to conect on an audio interface (as m-audio fast track) to play and record as you was made with XLN? Great job. Thank you =)

  • @rasocomercial thanks mate!. well, it is not a must to use an audio interface but it surely saves you from a lot of frustration compared to a midi2usb cable and using your own pc's sound card that may not be designed for those purposes. hope that makes sense. cheers.

  • @tolgapala thank you very much for your attention. I hope soon I will buy a DTXplorer. When that day comes (if it is not problem for you), can I ask you a few tips as upgrades etc? Greetings!

  • @rasocomercial sure. be my guest. =)

  • Sorry to ask stupid question, I just got my kit, what's that snare you are using? And how o you hook up more pads?

  • @OrangeCrushUK no worries. addicrtive drums is a drum plug-in that enables users to enhance the sound of their drums triggering (high quality with much better dynamics) samples from their pc or mac. also to record and play in realtime with more realistic drum sounds. and yes you can add 1 more pad using the expansion input at the back of the kick pad but that's all. hope this helps. cheers.

  • What's addictive drums?

  • i see you have a double kick pedal, did you have to buy an extra bass trigger or what? cuz im getting this kit and the picture looks as if the bass pad is too small for a double pedal.

  • @asdewqasdfgh not at all as the kick pad provides adequate housing for two beaters so there is absolutely no problem with that. you can simply set up your twin pedal as you would on an acoustic set and you're good to go. no additional effort needed.

  • Hi, Im using the same kit, software and plug-in, but the pads arnt linked to the right sounds in AD, for example, when i play back the recorded hi-hat, it plays the snare. Was your automatically set up right or did you have to change anything? and if so how?

  • @stupidbrian hey there. you need to sort out your drum map to hear the desired sounds from desired pads. please see my other videos for further information and there you can find a link to some of the maps i have created and shared there in the description. cheers. (youtube.com/watch?v=cbIuoYJBLcc)

  • What DAW do you use ? and do you use a MIDI-Usb or a strait midi cable ?

  • @alexxj220 i am using cubase. my drums are connected to my sound interface (m-audio fast track pro usb) and that is connected to my pc via usb. hope this helps. cheers

  • @tolgapala okay, thankyou. Ill try get it to talk to cubase :)

  • Да уж, AD звучит классно. Yeah, Addictive Drums sounds cool!

  • this is probably a dumb question. but are those some of the sounds that come in the module?

  • @JCFreak1121 not at all. but my answer is unfortunately no. these are not the stock sounds that come along with the module.these are the sounds from the addictive drums software that runs on my pc. i use the drum to trigger those and play and record in realtime.

  • @tolgapala are the drum sounds at all good?

  • @JCFreak1121 well they are not terrible but they are no match for the sounds you get from the drum plugins like AD.

  • sounds great! i wanna ask something;are youplaying with a sequencer? because is hearing one more hi hat.......

  • @MRmesmetin hey there! thanks for dropping a line here. to be perfectly honest, the second sound you hear comes from the backing track, not from a sequencer. sort of like a shaker sound accompanies the bassline but surely helps you keep up with the tempo of the bassline. cheers

  • Good job man! Let me ask you something. What snares pad are u using? Is it dual zone? Thanks!

  • @groghi many thanks. glad you've liked it. i am using a Roland pdx8 10" dual zone mesh v-pad for my snare. cheers.

  • its me...again...i bouth an interface...M-Audio Sport....Uno 1x1 its Midi-UsB and found cubase and the addictive drums...but i dont know how make it work together...please it is very urgent...

  • @tvmannu hey there. please see the videos i have recently posted. i trust they would be useful. cheers.

  • 4 people like Lady Gaga

  • @THeMaskedBlogCritic maybe that. or maybe my haircut or my shorts.

  • Good Drumming. Nice work.

  • @Foozow hey! thanks. I am glad you like it. well it has some blunders here and there but overall it gives a basic idea of the possibilities and the potential. i guess... :)

  • could you rec a video of how to rec it?

  • @tvmannu honestly, I have been thinking about it for quite some time as most of the questions I receive are similar like what brand i am using, how much it cost me, how i did it etc. so now that you also asked for it i think it would be a really good idea to put together a video talking a bit about all these stuff that fellow drummers are inquiring about. will do asap. :) many thanks.

  • could you tell me how to rec??

  • @tvmannu well it is not easy to say in one sentence but you would need a host software like cubase (that's what i use to make addictive drums work, mix the audio with your drums, edit or play in realtime etc) a decent computer and preferably a good sound interface. being creative to cross off some of that may need some playing around with the equipment you have and some time to figure out how to.cheers

  • Hi man , by the way nice job on the video . I had few questions . Im kinda new in the ''edrum world'' and i planned to buy one .(DTXplorer) I was wondering if we had piece like u did on your drumset , do you choose what they do like beeing a snare or a tom . Does the pieces cost a lot !? Like could you tell me how much your snare cost and pedal :P. Last question haha : Is Addictive Drums is hard to make work !?

Sorry for that rusty english :)

  • @Phillakai123 no worries about the english. to be perfectly honest, it is not my mother tongue either. anyway. you can set up any pad (including the Roland pdx8 10" dual zone mesh v-pad i have) to trigger any sound as you please. they can be whatever you want them to be, a snare or a tom. they are not cheap but not very expensive ones either. definitely worth the money you pay for. i am not familiar with the current prices but do have a look at my channel for the brands and try googling them :)

  • selam Tolga, what type of snaredrum are u using with the dtxplorer?

    nice work!!

  • @dek325 selam dek325! :) very kind of you to greet me in turkish and i am glad you liked the video. i am using a roland pdx-8 10" mesh head snare v-pad. cheers.

  • @tolgapala Does it work (plug and play) with the dtxplorer and how many zone's does it have.

I am thinking of the TP-100 (3 zone) from yamaha but if you say the roland is also good/better? i will think about it.

    (yardimin icin tesekkürler, hollandadan selamlar!)

  • @dek325 It doesn't quite work as desired out of the box but with a few tweaks you could get it work with no problems especially if you are using a plugin like addictive drums as these types of software utilizes midi mapping. but if you are planning to use the stock sounds directly from the brain, that may be a little frustrating to be honest. this pad is a dual zone (head and rim). i would buy the roland as i like the feel of the mesh head. (rica ederim :) istanbuldan da selamlar)

  • I have the YAMAHA DTXplorer set, how do you go about connecting it to the computer to run software like addictive drums?

  • @SOJ144 using the good old MIDI technology. connecting the drums to a sound interface and processing midi signals through that and your pc to trigger the samples that come along with AD. in a nutshell of course. :) thanks

  • Hi dude, nice playing. Planning to buy one dtx in the future as my first drum kit. Just one question: is learning to play from an Elec. drums like this the same with starting from a conventional? or is it always better to learn first with the standard drum kit? thanks!

  • @moronslave hey! i would say you need to learn the basics with an acoustic set as these two feel completely different. edrums are a lot of fun but simply do not feel the same like an acoustic set as every hit is pretty much perfect no matter how bad it may sound on an acoustic set. edrums may have a negative effect on your playing so i would say you should learn to drum first with an acoustic set before you get to a level where the synthetic feel of an edrum would not matter. cheers

  • @tolgapala I see, thanks for the nice advice.. cheers!

  • @moronslave no worries. :) please let me know if you have any further questions. thanks.

  • tolgapala

You mentioned that the PDX-8 works great with the plugins and not necessarily with the module. I haven't seen any mention regarding the rimshot in either case. Is the rimshot working with plugins and/or module? Supposedly it does not.

  • @filmmakingjoe you are quite right about the module. somehow the pdx-8 generates a cross-stick sound for the rim when you use the built in sounds from the module but it is possible to map it through AD to trigger a rimshot. so it works with plug-ins but could be a pain to set up through the module. cheers.

  • Very very good playing :) Much better than I expected, although I had a feeling it'd be good

  • @MrFalobalobalob many thanks for dropping a line here. i am glad you liked it. cheers

  • Like the upgrade on the snare here mate :) just a couple of questions, what type/make of double-bass pedal do you use/or recommend? And how did you change the sensitivity on the backboard for the double-bass pedal?

    Thanks :)

  • @fastcarguitar hey there. appreciate the comment/question. :) i am using a pearl p-122tw power shifter twin pedal(chain drive) and i totally recommend it in terms of price peformance ratio. it is one sturdy pedal with a lot of response and yet still affordable. i am not sure i understood your second question though. i haven't changed anything related to the kick pad if that's what you've meant. it's the stock one and provides adequate housing for two beaters withoyt any sensitivity issues.

  • is that one of those rollands mesh pads? Do they work fine in the xplorer?

  • @felipecampos12 it is a Roland PDX-8 - Dual-Trigger 10" Mesh V-Pad. it works perfectly with drum plugins like AD, but could be pain to handle with the built in sounds and settings of the drum kit itself.

  • Mate no offence but when I saw you I didn't think you would be that good, but you are pretty good!

  • @Tibbz246 none taken mate. in fact i am really glad you liked the video. your comment and compliment is much appreciated. i am trying to do the best i can. :) cheers.

  • oh and by the way, your drumming is phenomenal, very groovin and flowing. good stuff!

  • @mcjoz88 many thanks for the compliments. i try to do the best i can to be perfectly honest but i am glad you like it. btw, i have some older videos where i have been using the stock one that is vinyl. cheers and thanks again.

  • what snare pad is that you're using? and is it actually worth it to upgrade the snare, or is the stock one adequate for a beginner?

  • @mcjoz88 hey there! it is a Roland PDX-8 - Dual-Trigger 10" Mesh V-Pad and as my kit is a Yamaha, usage of this one was a mere experimentation. turns out it works perfectly with drum plugins like AD, but could be pain to handle with the built in sounds and settings of the drum kit itself. so it is actually worth it to upgrade if you would like to use it the way i do, but the stock one is adequate. the feel is totally different though. :) cheers

  • hehehe not ad bros

  • Hey great vid man. I like your style and the kit sounds amazing with AD. I was wondering if you could break it down for me really simple? If what I've read is true, then all i need is the drum kit, an audio interface and the AD-plugin to produce that great sound you've got going on?

  • @kaver91 hey there! many thanks for the nice comment. i am really glad you liked it. what you have broken down is pretty much the way it is as far as i can see. you only left out a decent performing computer there but i am guessing because you already have one. ;) you can find exactly what i am using a s gear in the my channel page and if you have any further questions, feel free to drop me a line at tolga.pala(at)gmail(dot)com. cheers.

  • How much is the addictive drums set up?ad software?? Etx

  • @ltcurry if you possess the adequate hardware like a pc or a mac and a decent sound interface that could process midi with low latencies, AD base (expansions are sold separately) would cost around 250-300 dollars. cheers

  • You can use Roland Snare on DTXPlorer?

  • @CityRuler1 yep. with no problems if you are planning to trigger drum sounds from your pc with a plug in like addictive drums. however using the original sounds from the brain may be a little frustrating and tricky and may not be as satisfying as you would expect it to be.

  • и снова такая же хуйня=))

  • @Bishop1995Morpeh well my friend, as you can see it is not nonsense for the 19K plus viewers that this video had so far. ;) спасибо!

  • hey great playing, I see you're using a roland snare mesh pad. Is it fully compatible ?

  • @charlie810i hey there. thanks. if you are using a pc to trigger drum sounds through a plug-in like addictive drums yes, but i wouldn't expect much in terms of compatibilty with the original drum sounds from the brain. hope that helps. cheers.

  • dude.. im planning to buy one.. it is really necessary to use guitar amps as a speaker? can i just simply plug it directly to a mixer? then through a big speaker "not a guitar amp"

  • @althegreat17 hey there! i am not sure i fully understand your question but you do not need any special amps to hear what you are playing. you can plug it into anything like a mixer, adat recorder, guitar amp, hi-fi or the original monitors that is also available in yamaha. cheers

  • @tolgapala its alright! you've answered my qustion. Pardon me for the way I type.

    thanks for the answer

  • I have that same double pedal. How do you like it?

  • @drumdrumdrumfun i do like it very much thanks. it is most probably the best you can get in it's price range. it takes a little getting used to before setting it to a point of your playing comfort though but when you manage to get it there, it rocks. sturdy as well. :)

  • @tolgapala I got mine used from a friend so it was especially cheep : ) unfortunately I am starting from scratch with my left foot. I never had one before and after playing a high hat so long its going to take a while.

  • @drumdrumdrumfun glad to hear that. just keep on working, you'll soon get the feeling. not comparable with a real hi-hat feel but still works somehow.

  • nicee snare soundddd!

  • @tonykartt thanks. :) i like it too.

  • sweet video! would you recoment for a first time drum kit ? im geting drums for xmas

  • @waxlrose0808 thank you very much. I would definitely recommend this kit as this is just the perfect kit in terms of price range/performance and of course the quality. definitely would stay away from the toy looking kids or as well the very high-end ones as a first timer. this kit was the first and only electronic kit i have ever bought and still using it after almost 5 years after.

  • awsome kit gettin 4 christmas, only thing i dont like is the un realistic hithat!! but apparently you can replace it 4 a different hihat!! plz tell me if true!

  • @Tommy41529 yes you can replace it with a different hi-hat. cheers.

  • while making a user kit u can use any pad as a ride to have the other two cymbal pads as crashes right?

  • @angelrend exactly. :)

  • Awesome man, really.

I'll buy the DTXplorer soon !

  • @drytaffin hey thanks. :) i am glad you liked it and it somehow inspired you. cheers.

  • Very smart thinking to change up the layout. I think i will do it as well.

  • @jedi223344 thanks. i felt like this was the best setup at that time. not much have changed since then other than i have added the original snare pad as a secondary tom.

  • how do u make that the mid tom a ride?? just wandering because i need a ride and dont really need that tom.

  • @Makiller82 you can set whatever sound you would like to trigger on your drum map. it is not unfortunately possible to describe in a few words here but the trick is to set your input note (incoming signal from the drum brain to pc and) to the desired output note value (meaning which corresponding sound the AD plug in would trigger when you hit that pad) appropriately on the drum (midi) mapping. hope that makes sense. cheers.

  • is that a double bass hooked up. does it fit?

  • @JCFreak1121 yep. fits like a condom. :) the kick pad has adequate space to house two beaters with no issues.

  • @tolgapala how do you like the kit. im thinking about going from acoustic to electric. how does it compare to other electric kits. btw im an experienced drummer. does it hold up well for you or is more for begginers

  • @JCFreak1121 hey there! i certainly wouldn't recommend to go from acoustic to electric as they are no match to be perfectly honest. you can consider them two different instruments even they have many things alike. i have to say this held up well so far as i am using it with my pc and plug-ins like addictive but i would have sold very shortly if it wasn't for software like AD. lastly in terms of price/performance this one is i think by far the winner. cheers

  • WHAT IS IT????????I don't know but I love it! <3

  • @ILOVENIKONd90 I am not quite sure whether you're talking about the drums, the backing track, performance or the video but thanks. :))

  • @tolgapala I've a dtxplorer...and I would expand it such as you!!

  • @ILOVENIKONd90 cool. :)

  • Definitely the best drums on the market for the price.

  • @AwessomePossum well said. :) thanks.

  • are you experencing any latency,if not,how did you overcome it?Thanks

  • @semiLivedj hey there! well to be perfectly honest there always is some level of latency with these kinds of setups. it's a matter of getting it to a minimum so that it doesn't effect your playing but there is no such thing as zero latency so like most of the drummers out there i have not overcame that, but did my best to minimize it instead. latency mostly is dependent on the computer and audio interface setup you have so please check my profile page to see the list of what i have been using.

  • hey how easy was it to install the roland v drum pad with this kit also i see a double pedal does the bass pad house the double pedal ok?

  • @AlexWhitleyUK hey! well it wasn't easy but wasn't hard as well. i needed to be creative to use one of my cowbell clamps as I was too lazy to go buy the appropriate hardware but it worked. :) as far as the twin pedal go, the kick pad is fairly adequate for housing those two beaters.

  • @tolgapala thanks man! does it plug straight in? also i know you then have a spare pad for extra drum of sound (for me second snare) would there also be enough inputs to then add a further cymbal into the mix? Btw i should have mentioned great playing!! love it!

  • @AlexWhitleyUK hey there! no worries! :) my pleasure. if you mean mountingwise, it surely does not. but for connecting the one that you are left with, as a spare after using the roland pad you can use the additional connector (a second one) behind the kick pad. hope this all makes sense. and many thanks for the comment btw, i am glad you liked my playing. cheers

  • hi a question, maybe you know the comparation of the roland hd-1 with this one? ty

  • @ejaiven hey! to be perfectly honest I only have seen th HD1 but i don't think it could compare with this one even realizing the fact that it has roland sound bank that we everyone agrees being better than yamaha sounds. However, I wouldn't have invested on HD1 as it looks nothing like a drum set but more like a drum controller for rock band or guitar hero. cheers

  • how did you get the sound to come out if you are wering headphone

    please respond

    thanks

    chris

  • @XChrisxRubiX hey there! actually the sound only comes from the headphones during recording and the raw video only has the tapping sounds as my camcorder doesn't have a line in and records the room sound through it's microphone. i record my playing and then add the audio that i export from cubase to the video's audio channel, sync the video with the external audio and mute the original audio channel to finalize. hope that makes sense. cheers

  • @tolgapala seem complicated but actually it is not. :) if only i had a camera that had a line in :) that way i wouldn't have to work my way around like i described above, because in the end, the sound of this video is exactly what i hear during playing on my headphones.

  • @tolgapala haha i got lost at "that i export from my cubase"

  • @tolgapala did you use the midi out plug thing on the brain to record on to your computer?

  • @XChrisxRubiX exactly. i use the midi out from the brain to the midi in on the m-audio fast track pro usb sound interface connected to my computer.

  • @tolgapala ooohhhhh ok now i get it!!

    Thanks!!

  • @XChrisxRubiX no worries. :) please let me know if you have any further questions. cheers.

  • what kind headphones do you use?

  • @angeloXsk8er i am using equation rp-21 reference monitor headphones.

  • cool grove on bass where you got this groove??and cool sound of drum!!

  • @mapexvx1 hey there! thanks, i am glad you like it. i got this backing track and many others from drummerworld forums as far as I can recall. one of the users posted this pack of backing tracks to one of the threads but it has been some time so i don't recall exactly where in the forum section. cheers

  • ummm hi!!!

i like your snare?? what's the brand name?? and how much you bought it??

    TELL ME PLEASE??? :(

  • @IamKari23 hi. it is a roland pdx-8 dual zone (rim and head) mesh pad and was bought around 160 dollars but that was a while ago. please search the net for up to date pricing. cheers.

  • @tolgapala: ok dude. THANK YOU !! :))

  • nice video! man, where did you get the software? i mean the Addictive Drums..

    \m/_

  • @ditoarch06 hey there! thanks. i was lucky enough to be able to use a composer/arranger friend of mine's registered copy but you can purchase it online from a number of music stores or XLN Audio's web site as well.

  • @tolgapala really? cool man! it's still too expensive for me right now.. :( is it hard to do some MIDI settings. my big bro has dtxpress iv for the e-drums

  • @ditoarch06 it takes some time to get used to work around the midi settings but i wouldn't say it is hard. i shouldn't probably say that to encourage you but you can easily find addictive drums copies around the net for free if you know what i mean. ;) i would definitely recommend to go with a registered copy anyway but then again these softwares are somewhat expensive. cheers.

  • @tolgapala i know what you mean. LOL. it's easy to find such a thing in Indonesia, but i'm affraid that some errors will occur while the settings. like hitting the snare but the crash sounds..hahaha

  • @ditoarch06 not at all. that would basically happen even if you have the registered copy. it needs to be mapped properly. that's nothing to do with errors. it is called a drum map. you can set every pad to trigger whatever you need them to trigger. that's a different thing. :)

  • @ditoarch06 simply put, it doesn't come out of the box all set. you need to jiggle around to suit your playing needs. :)

  • Awesome sound~ and some really smooth playing dude..!!

  • @jimmywacked many thanks. i am glad you like it.

  • Hey. I'm considering buying the PDX-8, but i have a few questions.

    1. Does it fit the stock dtxplorer mount.

    2. What settings do you recommend for the best result.

  • @iciclepyro hey there. it unfortunately doesn't fit into dtxplorer mount. i had to work my way around with a cowbell clamp as it has a vertical spike that would match the hole in pdx-8. as for the settings go, it really is very much personal and dependent on your playing style but make sure you avoid high gain and also set self reject and rejection parameters to make sure you don't hear additional hits generated because of trigger sensitivity.

  • this is pb gana be stupid but do you have to plug in an amp into it and what snare is that?

  • @NathanStockwell1994 not at all. :) it's just a matter of personal preference and not a must to plug in an amplifier. i am triggering sounds from addictive drums and therefore my pc and am using a behringer 12 ch mixer at home so all is connected to an amplifier that powers up the reference monitors but could have connected earphones directly to my soundcard output if that's what you have been asking. and the pad is a dual zone roland pdx-8 v-pad. cheers

  • Very good drumming. Gives a good idea of the instrument's capabilities. thanks a lot.

  • @msalimon hey there! many thanks. i am very glad you have found it somewhat useful and inspiring. to be perfectly honest that is the very reason that i post videos here. :) cheers and thanks.

  • snare pad is roland? does dtxplorer support roland pads? i'm looking for the bass drum pad and the snare pad.
