well now we're arguing semantics. You say what did he do to earn his "undefeated streak" even after I posted why.
I agree he has been on the shelf since 05' but like i argued before, for almost five years, the five year that WWF needed someone to step up and hold the company afloat in their darkest time, Taker was that guy. He was never hurt, pre 96-00 and wrestled every show.
p.s. Yeah Brett was so loyal he wouldn't lay down for Shawn in Canada and expected to be able to walk away champ. lol

As far as being safe, and that's why Taker was so dominate for the five years I've brought up (which I'm guessing was your point. To be honest, it was so weakly stated I'm not even sure if that's what you meant) he was in three hell in a cells, one of which he wrestled with a broken foot, and another that he and Shawn redefined the sport in. Not to mention when he had to wear that hideous hood because his entire face was broken for five months.
But yeah, besides that, he's super safe.

well yeah, but again Taker was the ONLY wrestler on the WWF roster for almost four years. In-between Austin coming in and out for his neck or his back or his leg, and people HATED Rocky up until about 98, Shawn left because of 1,000 different reason's and Hunter wasn't ready yet.
Only Taker's name was on marque sun up from sun down, from dark match's to main event pay per-views.
Again, you're right in thinking he wasn't the only loyal wrestler in the back, but he was the only working one.

People are ignorant if they try to deny that that streak is being exploited now. Ending Edge's streak,winning the WH championship,beating HBK 1 on 1..That's not a winning streak,that's using the streak to do accomplishments for undertaker. Ridiculous how he barely does anything the rest of the year yet wins it all at WM. Overrated

agreed if anyone "could" do it, Shawn would be the one, but that being said Undertaker has earned his 18-0.
He never turned his back on Vince, (I can only imagine what Ted Turner offered Taker to walk away from the WWF in 96-99) and he's always been willing to J.O.B. for newer talent. How many people got their WWF start from Taker making them look like gold?
To say Shawn was "better" then Taker is kinda dumb though. Both worked, both cut promo's, both risked their health for the big pop.
