  • thats an easy question:

    NO

    Next problem ! :-P

  • The government takes your money down the barrel of a gun. Once you realize and accept that, you are ready to understand the implications of coercive violence and it's effect on your life.

  • they dont come to take you to jail. They will garnish your wages, lien on your home, access your bank accounts.

  • Our government is run by a criminal gang who does what it can get away with. It does not follow the constitution and other laws, that were set up to limit it's power to steal and threaten us with their laws and regulations.

I think it is morally wrong to pay the tyrants, but I'm too much of a sissy to stand up for what is right.

  • If the government couldn't hurt me, I WOULD NOT pay income taxes!

  • Why are you using a road then?

  • No! IRS IS A FRAUD. Your taxes are totally used to pay off interest to the federal reserve.By the way Federal Reserve prints money out of thin air and no gold or silver backing it up .Fed EX just uses It to run the operation and we use it to deliver stuff and we use their counterfeit greenbacks to exist which in turn has no more value than monopoly money and the toilet paper we use to... It's not a legal institution and secondly, if it was, it would totally be voluntary..

  • Don't want to pay taxes ? Then don't.

But you shouldn't be surprises if the govt. puts a permanent meter on you to record all your expenses of public utilities each time you leave your home : sidewalk, trees, playgrounds, freeways, traffic lights, bridges, public buildings, clean water, crosswalks, firemen, the judicial, security, cops, army … taxes are necessary, they are also a bond between us living in the same society. What is unfair is the inequality between taxpayers.

  • this no taxes jail thing is funny..the govt thinks their punishing a person for not paying his taxes?hmm lets see :i dont pay then i get to go to a federal prison where its more cleaner facilities and more mobility not to mention better food..oh yeah and dont forget free housing free food free tv free recreation all at the expense of who?...the ones who pay taxes!! lol so whose really the loser here? IRS than you ..;)

  • A little education...everyone. NOT one dime of our Federal Taxes goes to run anything in the USA. Our federal taxes pays the interest on the loan that the Government has borrowed from the Federal Reserve. Now how do you feel about paying your Federal Taxes? It is the biggest scam that has ever been created on US citizens. Our country is run on state taxes and about a hundred other taxes...but NOT ON FEDERAL TAXES.

  • That's a very strange question. If someone couldn't impose violence on me, would I let them steal from me? The vast majority of government spending is unconstitutional, immoral, wasteful or a combination of these, so I do not willingly give one cent to them. I submit to their theft because they kill people and throw others into cages who disobey.

  • Nobody should ever be taxed on the fruits of their own labor to pay for things that they do not agree with....EVER.

  • According to our repetitive history tradition leaves us no choice but to pay in to the system that enables our way of life or face any alternative unpleasant consequences

rewarding us for doing so thx uncle sam lol

  • id pay tax voluntarily if the government did its job and protected my rights, but all the government does is treat me like a slave....fuck em, i hope it all comes crashing down hard

  • Since the beginning of time, it was always considered Democratic or in some cases patriotic to pay into the system. You had to pay in order to be protected from outside forces for example. If there was anything else the public wanted, it would be voted on by the people. Except, our government is a representative democracy, the people who "represent" us, get to decide what is best for us. Don't complain about taxes, complain instead that our government is a Plutocracy.

  • People have evolved through corruption, so much so, that it seems taxes are the only way to get people to help eachother. We all have some sense of right and wrong, where we all KNOW WHAT THE RIGHT THING TO DO IS, but we dont do it because it is midly uncomfortable at the moment. These "mild-discomforts" wouldn't matter if we were all doing SOMETHING to help eachother. The things that we would help eachother with would be simplified if we make "Virtuous Co-existence" our goal/ultimate end.

  • A person saying "No" to this question should then in reverse be willing to live without anything that is government-provided. Things such as roads and calling 911.

  • @Lightwarder is that to say that any government that supplies roads and emergency service should never be questioned about taxes?

50% of military spending for the ENTIRE WORLD is spent in the USA.

The government takes money that I have earned away from me and gives it to unwed mothers, first time home buyers and people who have managed their lives poorly.

Do you know that there are people who give 50 cents of every dollar back to the government in the form of income tax alone?

  • @swilson3d Well the purpose of democracy is that of course you should be able to question it, and if you disagree you can elect a new government.

Imagine your country if the government didn't give help to unwed mothers and people who managed their lives poorly. It wouldn't be a better place. As for first time home buyers, well that's just to push the economy.

Since I live in Denmark, I am perfectly aware of steep taxes, here income tax can reach 60%. It's not necessarily something I agree to.

  • @swilson3d - Well said. I would like to add that we were never intended to be a democracy; our founders instituted a constitutional republic. As Benjamin Franklin emerged from the Constitutional Convention, a woman asked him, "what have you given us, sir," to which he replied, "a republic, madam, if you can keep it." Also, there are no services that the government performs that are essential; the private sector can, and should perform all of them.

  • @Lightwarder

Precisely and would be happy to do so.

  • I dont think the can send you to jail if you can't pay them, they will garnish any income you make, if you de-fraud the government like in you bank example then you go to jail.

  • @mage1over137 Ask Wesley Snipes, who was sentenced by the US federal government to 3 years in prison for failing to file his income taxes.

  • @wogsland for incorrectly filing the taxes. Plus he is somewhat famous. They like to put those guys in the frying pan so we the not so fortunate living paycheck to paycheck stay in fear mode and keep on complying with the irs

  • nope...

  • no i wouldn't.

  • The vast majority of what the govt does is harmful to the people. The wars in the middle east, the drug war, welfare programs, professional licensure, maintaining monopolies in phone, electric, gas, cable, garbage, US mail, WA ferries, cabs, ... then there are the bailouts, agriculture subsidies, trade protectionism, the FDA, the fed dept of education... the biggest polluter in the us is the govt.

So the ONLY reason I pay any taxes is because the govt forces me to at the point of a gun.

  • Income taxes and other kinds of taxes are comletely different! Taxes are a necessity, but income taxes is just plain greedy! ...not to mention against the constitution! Why not just make a state tax, and a federal tax on consumer goods!?! derp!

  • I do not pay taxes; my money is stolen from me every pay day. Therefore every tax season I make damn sure I get back every penney those fuckers stole and then some. I tell my tax preparer to do everything she can whether legal or illegal to see to it I get my money back. There is no such thing as cheating the government.

  • I think I would government is a good thing if properly administered .

  • tax keeps the peace

  • I think you need to just stop moaning about the fact you have to pay taxes and actually have a look where your tax money goes and all things you take for granted that is paid for by these taxes.

Also try thinking about other people and NOT making a Youtube video whilst driving down the street. Thats the street thats paid for by people paying there taxes.

  • I would pay taxes only voluntarily and only to a government which is based on a system of capitalism, not statism, nor anarchism through private protection agencies which claim the ultimate authority. I would pay only for the functions of a proper government, which are to protect individual rights. This is done through police, courts and military. All other functions I would not pay for as they would be unethical to fund or execute on, unlawful and ultimately destructive to human life.

  • Yes, I would. It is necessary and fundamental, however, what is unfortunate and perhaps the core of what angers/upsets you, is that those in power are not honest, genuine, sincere, or wise.

The truth is obvious. it is before us. it is quite simple, however, mankind avoids it and chooses continually to walk around the truth and become mischievous.

It is the system which must (and will) fail on its own before things will change.

  • What paid for the road you are driving on hippie :) Keep paying your taxes, I need a raise.... peace :)

  • Go check out LostHorizons. com for my answer. What you find out may surprise you.

  • WE don't pay taxes...taxes are taken from US.

  • 2 Things:

First, to answer your question, if I thought the taxes were legit then yeah.

Second, I just think thats interesting you point that out. In the case of the banks, you've made a contract, with the government you didn't consent to pay taxes, but have to. Shouldn't it be the other way round, if you don't follow through with your contract that you get into trouble?

  • NO, irs agents are not allowed to carry a firearm. this is a common problem for them if they ever went to the stand as a witness. It's not mandatory to pay income tax. IRS defines income as a gain from corporate labor. these corporations pay profits and gains. we pay labor and wages. It comes down to liability.

  • WHAT ABOUT CAR WAX?

  • Yeah, I love the government. Just think: we're paying through the nose to put some of the 45% of people who have smoked pot in prison, paying to raid peaceable gun owners (usually only if they're black or rich), paying to ruin lives! What a bargain! Americans are the least educated people on earth, and the most narrowly-specialized. How sad. They are slaves who gradually became so enslaved they've now relinquished their own childrens' minds to the nanny state. How precious is a child's mind?!

  • Dude fucking drive!! I think making a YouTube video while driving is worse than talking on a cell. fuck.

  • The money you save in not paying taxes will havto be spent on protection

  • We'd be paying "taxes" to gangsters, and we would not have ANY protection of laws---NONE.

  • Comment removed

  • No taxes = no police, no firemen, no military. But we would still pay "taxes", because then there would be this proliferation of private businesses offering services of firemen, police--Blackwaters by the dozens--etc. We'd be paying mercenaries, or paying gangs so they would not break our fingers, or so they would not bomb our small businesses. We'd still be paying a "TAX".

  • I am almost insane, but not THAT insane! Of course I would not pay even one cent of taxes!!!

  • We paid taxes because the 14th amendment turned all americans into "subjects" from freemen ...

Federalism is our enemy and is criminal.

  • my answer is HELL NO ... I PAY MY TAXES SO I AM NOT JAILED OR MURDERED BY THE GOVT!

  • I dont pay taxes. We are not being represented. The bailout was nothing more than the looting of all our futures for the pockets of the elite. The question is, to what lengths will we all bow down because of the fear of government reprisal? Where is the line in the sand? For most, the line gets erased, and moved depending on how much fear they live under from their fellow man. The war is coming, and soon.

  • Hell no.

I know better how my money can be spent for the betterment of society than politicians.

  • 1. the gov can kill me for all I care they're nothing but murderers.

Taxation is a roman concept that didn't help rome one iota in the end.

Rome crucified christ on the passover and then collected their taxes , status quo , business as usual , beat up a few civilians and make them pay like a punk paying for prison protection.

so reguardless , I say phuck rome , and the gov can take taxes and shove it up their.

  • azkeyz. Along came Sparatacus and Rome shit their garb. lol. He spanked their ass real good.

  • If a government killed me, it would be a favour... I would get rid of my debts!

Taxes? yeah, Americans would pay them becuase they are deducted from thier check and Americans don't seem to be awake enough to avoid taxes if they could!

  • u only got 7 right when i did this

    lol

  • Yes I would. If the government suddenly stopped collecting taxes then I would hope there would be an effort among the people to pool their money together so that those services that are paid for by taxes could still be performed.

In other words what I am trying to say is that if there was no government to collect taxes then we would have to make one.

  • every cent of federal income tax collected by the government goes directly to paying of the interest the government goes the federal reserve bank. FEDERAL INCOME TAX DOES NOT PAY FOR IMPROVEMENTS OR SERVICES. JUST INTEREST.

  • Yea that was big shocking news when I found out about it like 2 years ago. Why don't you Libertarians start telling us something we don't already know for a change?

  • yeah!!!!!

  • A few years ago my company screwed up and ddin't take enough out for taxes and i came out owing around $3k. I went very hungry and spent no money trying to come up with enough to pay the IRS. Not because I enjoy paying to see Robert Byrd's name on ever gov't project in West VA, but because of FEAR of the IRS!

  • Well if you didn't pay taxes, what would be left? Who pays for the roads, or education, or resiviors for drinking water ect ect.

  • Go break a window and make a job for a window repairman then!

  • Any more to this or is this really all you got? That was probably the worst reply i have ever had to any comment. I mean I have gotten some really dumb ones back and that was the dumbest congratulations!

  • really that is the best you got? i figured with all you government and political"experience" on you tube that is, that you would have come up with a better answer than that! what a shame

  • @wogsland That is a marvelous reference to the concept of "what is seen and what is unseen" by the great French economist Friedrich Bastiat.

It seems like breaking a window creates economic benefits. But what is unseen is the money the window owner could have used to do other things had the window never been broken, PLUS he would still have the value of the old window! This always exceeds the value of the window repair project.

  • With all the horrible things our govt does, I think it is our moral duty to send as little money in taxes to the govt. We should live frugally so we send less money in sales taxes to the state. Living frugally also allows us to EARN less, so we send less to the IRS to fund the Iraq and drug wars. Living in a smaller house minimizes property taxes. Barter, buy gold, use cash, buy local and from small entrepreneurs. Starve the beast.

  • @danphelan89 wow, way to yell at people while having your head up your ass. Does that hurt?

  • @danphelan89

The federal government, as intended by the US Constitution was meant to do very few, very basic things. Protection, deliver mail, and build roads.

It's true, some taxes are necessary. But nowhere near the amount we pay today and not for the reasons for which we pay them (policing the world, etc)

Also, income tax was not part of the original Constitution. It was added by Wilson along with the implementation of the Federal Reserve. Before this people only payed sales taxes.

  • @pfk1989 EXACTLY!!!!!!!

  • @pfk1989 The fed const authorizes post roads, but not postal delivery services. The US mail monopoly is unconstitutional. It should be privatized, and we should have free market competition in mail delivery. See Lysander Spooner for an early protest against this monopoly.

  • @danphelan89 Go watch the Federal Reserve section of Zeitgeist the movie on youtube to find out where you federal tax dollars REALLY go! It doesnt go where you think. Back in the days of Ronald Regan, even he told us the Federal Income Tax does not go to fund anything other than the bankers pockets! Check out the movie. I think you'll be surprised.

  • @danphelan89 either u work for the IRS or are a blind moron..if taxes were so beneficial then how come other countries thrive without them?and if taxes were doing wht they all say what theyre supposed to then why the fuck are we still broke?lol..yea right....

  • @GunNut12680 I totally agree ! They tried to do a 1% tax in dubai years ago and the people totally turned that idea down. I wish we would do that here. By the way why does an entity require me to pay them money when they have the ability to print any amount of money they want?

  • Well you should pay if you can for some of them, but there are way to many taxes we pay in usa and the government waste the taxes on many pointless things. I made a video on this also if you want to check it out.

  • Some taxes are neccessary. I don't mind paying taxes for needed public services such as road maintainence, school, law enforcement, etc. However, I would not give a penny for social programs or unworthy causes abroad.

  • Would be nice if the taxed rather than the taxers got to decide what is "unworthy" of our money, like we do in markets. Imagine if McDonalds had the power to force you to buy their chicken sandwiches!

  • @wogsland Indeed this is the problem with taxes. You have to foot the bill, but you can't shop around to decide how you want your money spent. This is the biggest reason why I am for smaller government and privatization of services. You then aren't always stuck with the same poor service of the one organization that everyone is forced to deal with.

  • @TRexTurtle - Not a penny of income tax dollars pays for services; see the Grace Commission report submitted to President Ronald Reagan - January 15, 1984. Everything that we associate with "essential services" has historically been better supplied by the private sector, including roads and emergency services.

  • YOU ASSHOLE. DON'T DRIVE AND VLOG AT THE SAME TIME. You put kids and others at risk - it's the same as being drunk. I wonder if the local cops would like to see this. Let's find out.

  • For a smart person you sure ask dumb questions... HELL NO!

  • we pay taxes to fund the chemtrails and wars..

Y.know,,, the things that kill us?

  • One, State taxes are real law and states do need taxes to operate. So yes, I would pay state tax within reason.

Two, no on the Federal tax. There is no law stating that citizens must pay Federal tax to IRS. A lie. Federal tax is voluntary and applies to gains withing and without the US. Regular employment is not a gain. This is well known controversy. We need to abolish the IRS. We only send out money to foreign powers. It does not circulate back to us citizens.

  • no I would not pay because it's my money and the government did not help me to get it...how could be freedom when they take your money without even care about your opinion...most of the tax payer money gos to war, why should I pay to kill people for no reason but government hate

lastly learn about the other world why they don't pay taxes why they have free health care why they don't pay for the schools.

  • Australia is better. haha jks america is pretty sick aswell

  • Good thought. I would still pay taxes. It sucks, but I'd rather pay to be in a safe and stable country rather then be like south americans or africans and not have a next meal or have a good chance of dieing tomorrow. yes?

  • is driving a vlogging legal......

  • Yes.

  • When government taxes you under threat of violence, it is like a mugger saying: "Give me half you paycheck or I will kidnap you and lock you up in my ass-raping prison/basement. If you resist, I will shoot you dead. And don't worry about the money. I'm going to put it to good use. I promise. You can trust me."

So, if gov could NOT use violence, the mugger becomes just a pathetic bum, begging for a handout. That's an improvement.

  • Good question.

There are plenty of protesters who stand outside the local post office here on April 15th holding up signs detailing how we technically don't have any legal obligation to pay taxes (or maybe it was in regards to filing a return, I forget).

Not sure if I'd be bold enough to go for it though. So far I'm not hurting from filing every year, but if circumstances were different....?

  • Yeah maybe if all the fucking white trash quit spreading their legs and popping out kids like a gum ball despenser, and the hard working people got some good benifits, instead of getting rapped up the butt by uncle sam and his possey!

  • There is no law which requires you to pay federal income tax.

  • That's a tough one. I don't have to tip at a restaurant, but I still usually give 20%. I think most people are in such disagreement with the government that really, no one would pay taxes if they didn't have to. I don't mind paying taxes, but I wouldn't want to be the only one.

  • wogsland you are so on a watch list dude. you're inciting too much drama! haha. I'm actually pro-flat tax.

  • No. The government wants us to "pay our fair share" in taxes. Who determines my fair share of taxes? We need to drastically reduce the size of government and give the country back its rights for individuals. We need to repeal the 16th amendment and enact the Fair Tax. We need term limits on all politicians and outlaw lobbyists. We are a constitutional republic not a democracy.

  • Your "fair share" is however much the government can take without you and your neighbors successfully revolting.

  • Of Course I would. I mean if I didn't how would the government bailout companies like AIG so the exec's that ran them into the ground can still get their million dollar bonuses. And how would all the morons in the congress and senate that don't listen to the will of the people get paid.

  • Feudalism FTW.

  • Sure, IF they spent my money responsibly

  • This is an increasingly hypothetical situation you're talking about here.

  • i would but what i would want to do is i would want to have the right to say exactly where my money went. i would only give to the parts of the government that directly have an effect on my life and the lives of my loved ones. like i wouldnt give to welfare or prisons but i would give a lot to community betterment programs and healthcare and educations and better government nursing homes! geez, i could really go on a rant here... :P

  • So, really, you want to direct where the fruits of your labor go rather than let the government direct them...

  • it would be anarchy, silly woggy =)

  • no way

  • Nope.
