Most of this was about fox hunting which is totally different issue and was more a class thing. Most UK citizens don't have guns and only handguns got banned which affected a miniscule percentage of the populace. Shotguns are still owned, mainly by that bunch of gits shown in the video.

Our fundamental rights have not been willed away. Britain has never had the right to bear arms for all subjects. There was never widespread gun ownership in the UK and we don't have a 'gun culture' in the way the US does.
The US has the right to bear arms (which Europe doesn't), Europe has the right to life (which the US doesn't). It's not a question of rights, it is a question of culture.
We in Britain don't want our guns back as we've never had them, and have never wanted them.

As I said, not all British subjects, just English Protestants. So as a Welsh Catholic, I have never had the right to bear arms. Also, notice 'as allowed by law', no other right in the bill has that caveat. It means parliament retains the ability to limit that right - which it has.
I suggest you actually read the English Bill of Rights before citing it.

I cannot comprehend why the people would willingly submit their guns. There must have been some horrible penalties or the people would just pretend they didn't have any.
But of course, if the guns were registered previously, the government would know who had them and just start showing up, arresting people and prosecuting them. In time all others would surrender guns out of fear of being caught.

The handing-in of hand guns was an amnesty giving people who had guns illegally a chance to hand them in at the police station "no-questions-asked" after a spate of shootings by adolescents.

Guage, in reference to shotguns, is the number of loaded shotshells required to make up 1 pound.
Caliber is the diameter of a bullet at it's thickest point.

Actually, I have seen many English tv programs (it's practically all I watched via satellite while in Russia and Turkey). My personal interactions with most from the UK have shown me that the British have plenty of fat and stupid people ( and unfortunately there are a lot of bad teeth). Obviously, you may not be one of the brighter ones because you've missed my point about the limiting of the genetic pool over the "centuries" (i.e. not necessarily in the modern age).

Most of this was about fox hunting which is totally different issue and was more a class thing. Most UK citizens don't have guns and only handguns got banned which affected a miniscule percentage of the populace. Shotguns are still owned, mainly by that bunch of gits shown in the video.

The right to bear arms was enshrined in British law LONG before it was written into the American Bill of Rights. What this is about is a government willing to alter our fundamental rights according to its agenda. If you let a government remove your rights this way - what comes next? That's the point.

Our fundamental rights have not been willed away. Britain has never had the right to bear arms for all subjects. There was never widespread gun ownership in the UK and we don't have a 'gun culture' in the way the US does.
The US has the right to bear arms (which Europe doesn't), Europe has the right to life (which the US doesn't). It's not a question of rights, it is a question of culture.
We in Britain don't want our guns back as we've never had them, and have never wanted them.

I suggest you check out the English Bill of Rights 1689, rather than making statements based on a lack of knowledge. The americans actually got the 2nd amendment from us.
If you don't want to own a gun, that's your choice, but how do you know that's what most Brits want.

"Freedom for Protestants to bear arms for their own defence, as suitable to their class and as allowed by law."
As I said, not all British subjects, just English Protestants. So as a Welsh Catholic, I have never had the right to bear arms. Also, notice 'as allowed by law', no other right in the bill has that caveat. It means parliament retains the ability to limit that right - which it has.
I suggest you actually read the English Bill of Rights before citing it.

@Medeasbiggestfan you dont much about law....even with that statement "as allowed by law" was omitted it wouldnt matter as the bill of rights act 1689 is still an act of parliment nothing more and can be removed or admended by parliment at any time (see soverity of parliment) eg. the firearms act 1920 abolished that right to have arms in the 1689 act the clause about protestants wouldnt matter either as the courts are always re-intrept the law for the socity it serves at the time
