I used to have this dream when I was about three or so years old. Its one of my earliest memories. There was this blonde person, with a bright light shining behind them, and I knew they were blonde because the light would form a sort of halo around their head. That dream has stayed with me for years, and I've often wondered who the blonde person was...Well watching this video, as soon as I saw it, I got chill bumps all over, cause it was Justin. I never even knew the moodies when I was 3! Chills
@wouldntyoulike2know Hi! I love this song, as with most of the early Moodies songs! Search out Penumbra Moon, one of Justin's solos! Talk about chills! And that guitar work ain't bad, either! P.S., Check out 'Cities', a little known 'B'-side from Nights in White Satin! Seen them once in Person...I'm straight, but talk about a man-crush! I grew up (as far as I did!) listening to the Moodies and Pink Floyd, the Doors and Tangerine Dream while I mis-spent my youth. Best to you and yours!
@Pinlighter69 Tangerine Dream are soo good, one of my other favorite bands. Very cool that you know of them too. I really enjoy Justin's solo work too. Thanks so much, best wishes to you as well.
@wouldntyoulike2know if truth is to be known though Justin is not a true blonde..... but his natural color is a light brown...... you can see that in his very early pictures say 1968or so......lol
"Night Flight" was not one of my favorite JH releases. I hated that period in the late 70s and early 80s when most top-selling artists were going disco. "Night Flight" was no exception. There were a few tracks that stay true. But I have to say, I really like what they did with this video, if you were to take yourself out the era of disco. DISCO, yuck! I hope I never have to hear it again.
Your mom just loves Justin. This man has talent and looks too. You should listen to some of his music with your mom, I always did when I was younger and now I love the Moody Blues!
same here, the modys and justin where a big part of my childhood, and i fell sorry for thoughs that dont know there/his music. If the whole world knew the mody's it wouldnt be blue at all ;)
I am sure he is very happy with Marie. Don't want to take that away from him, although I love him too. All his songs are full of a deep meaning, and I am sure we all love them.
Thanks justinfan, for this song from 1980, a year I will never forget... I listened to this album every day :) it also has the most beautiful pictures of Justin! "Face in the crowd" is also one of my favorites
This is one of justin's solo songs he didn't even write that I wake up and hear in my head 5 out of 7 days of the week..very frustrating, why? Why can't I get it out of my head.. Catchy yes, but a bit tormenting, trying to figure out personal demons I suppose.
Never seen this one! Loved the album. I think 'Nearer' should have been the single. It was one funky song. It's a wonder no DJ has found it and technofied it! It would lend itself to that
I bought this album on cassette back in 1978 (i think) after I found out that Jeff Wayne had produced it (War of the Worlds) I take it that this video was for Europe only. Great!
Check out this video of "Marie" by Justin Hayward.
