... LOL, I'm pretty sure you already have Paint. Check in Accessories. And I don't think you'll need it to be Portuguese. Paint is really really simple.

The sprites are custom and made in MS Paint. Yes, MS Paint. It's the traditional way.

In sprite communities it is common for people to have custom sprites that they use to represent themselves. People either recolor an existing sprite, edit an existing sprite, and, in rare occasions, making a completely custom sprite. (In other words, pixel by pixel from scratch.)

Recoloring is frowned upon because it's lame and unoriginal. Editing a sprite is the most common way. What you do is you take existing sprite poses from a videogame sprite sheet and edit them heavily to make them your own. Some people also combine parts from different sprite characters and sheets.

I really don't suggest you get into raw, ground-up spriting unless you really know how pixel art works.

The Neo Link sheet is a heavy edit of Zero from Megaman Zero by me, and the other sheets are made by their respective owners, which were part of the sprite tournament this movie is based off. Kaiser's an X (Megaman X) edit, Lizoran's a Sonic (Sonic Battle) edit, and Elle's a Tails (also Sonic Battle, I think) edit.
