Yeah well, that "humane way" just meant that that mother ratcoon relocated her family into someone's yard or house, giving them a ratcoon problem. I would be very unhappy if someone did that in my neighborhood and those ratcoons moved into my house as a result.
I know it may sound harsh to some of you, but really trapping these animals and relocating them a long way away from human habitations is the best way to go.
