@JollyUmbra i'm a bassist myself and what I'd recommend would be (in the absence of money/mood for bass classes :P) trying to play basslines of songs you like that you consider difficult. I'm sure you know a few. Obviously it's always healthy to search about jamming and the notes you should use etc., but if this is boring to you forget it. This is advice from an intermediate bassist btw, i'm no pro xD.
