Your radio mic is not on, your camera is using it's onboard mic.

@OrangeCrushUK Hehe, the mic is on but it's picking up the sound of the drums being struck. You wouldn't hear my voice at all if the mic wasn't working becuase both the drums and the mic are plugged into the same connector, directly into my camera. Thanks for your observation though! Rob
