  • Ulver's Bergtatt meets Katatonia's Brave Murder Day. Amazing.

  • every time this song comes on my ipod and i hear the opening drum roll, im like " Sweet! time to listen to black rose immortal! oh wait... nevermind, its time for some fucking agalloch!! :D "

  • THIS? ON THE RADIO!? FUCK i need satellite radio

  • @MorbidAzagthothDeath Last.fm isn't exactly the radio, it's a music site.

  • I heard this on LastFM last night, and automatically knew that KCSIAA would have it

  • what the fuck is dark metal? This band sounds Black Metal and Doom Metal, nice blend.

  • @deathontheroad666 Try the band 'Bethlehem', they play dark metal

  • put headphones on, max volume, fullscreen this pic and enjoy your boner

  • @tehpaweu lmao very true

  • hahaha "And from then on, they were called pineapple vocals"

  • Comment removed

  • That riff after the acoustic section makes me headbang every time, so awesome.

  • Was that picture taken in Scotland? lol

  • 3:55 is to total relax.

  • It's like that the vocalist has a pineapple in his throat, he is choking and slowly dying. I imagine that guy in a concert dying in the floor while the people go nuts like: YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!

    Instrument is awesome.

  • @Minatominase Got PINEAPPLE in his throat?! Shit, that would make him my new hero....

  • Pure awensomnes. No compromises. A poetry transformed an upgraded to something above. Nothing can describe what this music are... Only hearing, but not with ears... With heart.

  • thanks for the epic uploads bro

  • Hey at 3.30 they turn into NIGHTWISH...sounds like Tarja anyway :-)

  • give a thumbs up for the song, band,an ksciaa for providing.Agalloch rules!

  • One of their best songs. What would we do without them, Opeth, Orphaned Land? The complexity of these bands is so addictive and after listening to their songs the simple thrash metal songs of other bands get rather dull. I sure wish they will bring this female vocalist again to future productions!

  • They shoulf come on tour to europe. Why is there no avantgarde-metal tour? With agrypnie, agalloch, tenhi and dornenreich? it would be so great

  • @Chihab2112 I've been to a Dornenreich concert last year, they were really awesome :D

A combination with Agalloch would make it almost too good to be true

  • great i just ordered and received emperors anthems to the welkin at dusk and wolves in the throne rooms black cascade in the mail.......now i must fork over another 14 dollars for this amazing album!

  • Shine on, evening skyfire! Paint the sky with the blood of a raven! Bereavement! Oh garment of... ebony as embers DRESS... THE... DUSK OF... MAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

Oh, do I want to see this band live.

  • Agallochs music is so pretty and epic to me. It makes me want to bite the universe.

  • Agalloch is simply sublime...that's all.

  • WOW

  • reminds me of old mental home 100% my friends, hey where theres a will theres a way

  • All the images that accompany your videos remind me of the area I live and grew up in. It brings a sort of nostalgia when put with Agalloch songs. It's blissful. two thumbs up my friend.

    <3

  • Love Agalloch!

  • If only there were tabs for the acoustic part...

  • @LostandRecovered There are.Just use google.

  • @LostandRecovered there are tabs for it

  • It kind of reminds me alot of Alcest, and Peste Noire.. yeah, this works!

  • simply majestic

  • аfter 6:00 - plesure

  • I dislike their clean vocals a lot, and they should lose the echo effect on the vocals. Other than that it's awesome.

  • Beautyful, just beautyful!

  • They are going to start recording their next full length all through this July....anticipation grows

  • a perfect song to be played at my funeral

  • this is my favorite song.

  • favorite song off the album. just oozes melancholy. i take this song as being a commentary on the way mankind has used knowledge only to destroy itself and wasted useful knowledge in pursuit of things which are ultimately worthless.

  • Best.

  • I love the part at 2:30, its so sweeeeeeeeet tits. I just wish it was longer. also love the scream at 3:44. and you hater on the music and vocals can suck a chode seeping with tar. Who are you to judge the his vocals, hes free to use the worst sounding vocal in the world if he wants so stfu gooch munchers

  • @sirhalo2

worst sounding vocals in the world?

maybe you dont listen to black metal which this is

    his vocals are amazing

  • Once the guitar starts at 4:11 I hang my head in reflection of my life and everything beautiful on this earth. I seem to be fleeing from existence and time for a moment, and enshrined in a peace so elevating and emotional. Damn, I love Agalloch!

  • Agalloch is simply amazing.

  • good song

  • love it

  • everytime, I listen to this song, the beginning remembers me to a song from Nagelfar...

  • The German one or the Swedish one?

  • The German one is NAGELFAR, which i wrote down below, and the swedish is NAGLFAR. I really love the beginning!!!

  • i know i just commented but the last 2 and a half minutes in this song is the greatest thing to happen to humanity

  • what cd would you say is better Ashes Against the Grain or The MAntle not sure if this is on either but the songs ive heard of those two albums are the awesome as i would like to say =P

  • I like Ashes Against the Grain more. Although, this song is great as well, I might have to get this album in addition to the two you mentioned.

  • VEry nice vocal

  • LIFE! LIFE! LIFE! ETC!

  • fuck this song is really fucking good.

  • understatement!

  • All time favorite song by Agalloch. Love these guys, no homo.

  • One of the best songs from Agalloch. I love the clean guitar part...it's just amazing!!

  • Amazing song!!

  • jesus i have to put on a jacket when i listen to this to avoid getting a frostbite...

  • sometimes I get the feeling when I am listening to this song as if I am on a mountain on a day where there is a blizzard and then I find a cabin and in that cabin there is a fire warming me.

  • I see what you did there.

  • I have the same dream except marty friedman is holding me close against his purmed chest hair.

  • @seanjohn135 lol

  • My favorite part of this song is 6:28 to 6:41. It's amazing.

  • Some of the most beautiful music this world has to offer.

  • This band is just fucking beautifully depressing.

  • nice oxymoronic adjective you used to describe the band

  • judging by the thumbs down you received, i guess a few people don't know the meaning of "oxymoronic" :D

  • Ignorants ;)

All I care is enjoying this beautiful music <3

  • Lead guitar starting around 5:10 ish is so beautifully amazing.

Does anyone happen to get a slight buckethead vibe from this song? It's very subtle, but this song reminds me of some of buckethead's guitar playing.

  • this was amazing live

  • check out,,EMPYRIUM--(mourners)

  • I love Empyrium...

They were an important influence for Agalloch.

And I love Agalloch, as well...

  • Great band great song thx for uploading!!

  • Agalloch is freaking awesome!

been on youtube all day yesterday and today listening to them.

Thanks for all the songs KSCIAA.

  • No problem.

  • this song is so fucking awesome! Agalloch rules!

  • reminds me a bit of noumena at the end

  • I don't really like the "singing" part (that kind of dark voice isn't for me) but i really like the instrumental

  • maybe you would enjoy their newer songs, there is no growling at all.

  • I think it's just you.

  • It's you.

  • yup, just you

  • Um, don't you hear the insane double bass in this song?

  • I hear it dude haha, gotta have some bassy speakers to hear it

  • Very good!Where are they from?

  • Oregon, USA.

  • i THOUGHT THEIR LOCATION SALEM, OREGON......

  • @nosferatuizalco NOPE......

  • @nosferatuizalco haha nope but Don Anderson has a degree and is now a professor up here at the University of Washington for English.

  • @nosferatuizalco They are from Portland, not Salem

  • agreed, 3:50 to 6:00 is one of my favorite segments of any of their songs, not meaning to disrespect their other amazing work

  • Goddam the fuckin bass playing the intro riff, but in the middle of the song, about 3 mins in. That is one my favorite parts to any song ever,

  • the way it comes in at the end, its amazing

  • What wrong with all these people saying the screaming isn't good? Did they come here expecting Agalloch to be some post rockish band?? Agalloch is great as Agalloch is.

  • The singer and the screamer are the same guy.

  • That's pretty energetic for Agalloch. I love it... :O

  • Favourite song from this band by far.

  • Fuck...

Every vocal part in this song is so beautifully great...And the melodical part is great, but The Wilderness is best song anyway!

  • Perfect song

  • amazing song and band.

  • we must love this picture and music!!!!Agalloch fucking amazing band

  • love this song...

  • what does this song even mean. is it about a raven who's lived before the dawn of man and will live beyond the dusk of man, and therefore represents how nature is so powerful and immutable? Or something else?

the non-melodic screamy voice is by far the worst part of this otherwise excellent song. brilliant instrumentation.

  • That is a matter of opinion really. I personally love that part of the song because it adds even more into the mix. That is the main part that makes Agalloch so great is the diversity in the music.

  • The first one is how I see it.

  • who's the female singer??

  • words cant describe this band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I first heard this song when I was 11 years old. I'm now 17 and every time I listen to it I gain new insight into Agalloch and how diverse they really are, they're amazing!

  • I dont understand how Agalloch can be as amazing as they are. This song almost made me orgasm, the acoustic part is out of this world amazing.. They need to come to Toronto as soon as possible.

  • i get Agalloch orgasms daily..hehe

  • @Choswald Toronto and Australia...........in winter, ASAP!

  • a masterpiece. nuff said.

  • this song really amazing

  • This album is one of the most amazing pieces of work ever recorded. EVER.

  • We all need to eMail/stalk John Haughm so they'll tour the US.

  • And Canada =)

  • Love the acoustic interlude.

    Agalloch is amazing

  • I can't believe this song is 10 years old and yet it is so fresh !

  • Agalloch are the best thing to happen to American doom metal =]

  • they are from portland oregon

  • why would that ruin it for you?

  • Because he's an idiot.

  • This is my favorite Agalloch song.

  • The best way for my to get back to the Pacific Northwest, is listening one of my favorite bands, at least until I get back to live in my missed city of Portland, long live to Agalloch!.

  • This song is way better than Black Rose Immortal. I don't really like that song at all. It's too drawn out. I think they have a lot of better songs in their olde repertoire.

  • Sounds so much like Opeth's Black Rose Immortal, and I mean this in a good way. Pure awesome.

  • KSCIAA, thanks thanks you are my best thing what happened in youtube! thanks these all brilliant songs!

  • No problem.

  • I need pale folklore. really.

Amazing song. I like their new stuff just as much as this here... awesome band!

  • oh nice in Würzburg right ? will be there too...think it will be a awesome concert..

  • i love this song so much

  • Agree they all are very good, everyone song that I have herd so far at least.

  • el folk doom es uno de mis generos favoritos y de hecho agalloch es una banda muy original y de contrastes bellisimos, suenan como si viviesen en medio del bosque, buenisima cancion.

  • Amazing <3

  • these dont even sound like cookie monster. (cookie monster is like death metal even though they dont sound similar in the 1st place).

Plus the vocals and agalloch own.

  • as always... brilliant

  • Another piece of genious art =)

  • Great band, great song.

    Truly unique!!

  • One of their best songs really. Melodic progressions in minor keys, soft acoustic bridges, clean vocals, aggressive metal vocals, women chorus, great drum fills. Need I go on? :o

  • Aye to this comment. Agalloch are a very unique band. I have never met a style even approaching their beauty and diversity. I kneel next to you. Let's praise them as one of the few who still create beatiful art through such demanding creationist efforts. They deserve all the respect and yet more fame. HAILS

  • Woo! The Pale Folklore version! Someone had the From Which of this Oak version up, but I couldn't find this one. I prefer this version to the earlier one, but it's still an amazing song either way.

  • Agree completely.

  • Agalloch sure love their triplet based rhythm

  • Beautiful Beautiful song.

Their instrumentals areq uite amazing too.

But this one is one of my favorites.

Agalloch...Best band ever. Well one of the best bands ever in my list. :)
