This beat is soft as marshmellows, I can't ever see this being played in da clubs. This ain't hip hop -- this is elevator music!
Lex Luger 1 Pete Rock 0
Lex is a much better producer. Pete Rock's beats are just boring soul loops with some boom bap drums added. Lex Luger won the best producer award at the BMI urban awards 2011. Pete Rock can only dream about winning such an award.
Dammmn this is awesome, haven't heard the original but the lyrics are real powerful and raw, and as usual pete rock brings in a dope beat. Please put up a HQ version!
Too bad Jay-Z doesn't sound like this on BP3. Swizz Beatz and Jay-Z? Seriously? Who would even care to think about a combination like that. Soulja Boy on the beat, with KRS-one as the MC. pssshh
Kanye could've done better on the album as well. He has so much talent and he is so good at producing but i guess them damn record companies didn't want him to do it HIS style. It sounds like a different style to me.
I'll find it one day, Even if it's on my death bed. I'll pass it down to my kids and say, this is what real rap used to sound like! Treasure this s**t!

What a difference a producer makes! Now this is what Jay-Z should sound like, minus the radio friendly Hip-Pop garbage tracks he uses.

Marley never this funky? Refresh your memory and check the bass lines and drum kicks from "The Symphony".
MicJar3743 2 years ago
