Actually,Congress' powers are quite limited & inflexible & those of the States are quite widespread & flexible; Congress' powers largely relate to whole union but States were granted considerable autonomy but of course, it mayn't seem so as we don't follow the Constitution anymore.Further, none of the powers you've mentioned were supposed to be expansionary as States also have a right to leave the union so most Founders definitely were NOT statist as you'd like to presume.

The founders put this in the hands of the States. The commerce clause, according to the writers of it, is there to ensure no State places tarrifs or subsidies on products to other States. Libertarianism is most popular in US because its Founding Fathers were libertarians & majority are whites because whites are the majority in the US :) Another reason could be that non-whites in US are GENERALLY poorer & poor generally tend towards communism/socialism while libertarianism is about "you only deserve what you EARN". Internet was US-govt's project but it only became the force it is today after it massively privatized; its closest to a truly free market & its beautiful.

Actually,Congress' powers are quite limited & inflexible & those of the States are quite widespread & flexible; Congress' powers largely relate to whole union but States were granted considerable autonomy but of course, it mayn't seem so as we don't follow the Constitution anymore.Further, none of the powers you've mentioned were supposed to be expansionary as States also have a right to leave the union so most Founders definitely were NOT statist as you'd like to presume.

There's very little difference between communism & socialism, bottomline is that both ideologies try to FOOL people into believing that they can freeload forever without having to work hard for it & that individuals have no right to their life, liberty & property & that individuals are a slave to the collective & the state. None of that has necessarily anything to do with who they were but they specifically favored govt-controlled education because they knew it was the best way of indoctrinating the masses right from childhood. It is one of main tools for communism/socialism.

"New deal" caused the Great Depression by siphoning off money from the private sector & hindering growth after the Federal Reserve's fractional-reserve-banking bubble collapsed after the boom of 1920s; govt can never be as productive as private sector because under free markets businesses go out of business if they don't produce people but govt is de jure monopoly of power & thus no matter how bad their goods/services, they never have the fear of going out of business.
