@ItsaMeMartin Actually it has a point. Some people like smashing robots/badniks. Also thats the flaw of the whole game, the psychis were bad. That doesnt make it a gimmick. Thats like saying spindash is a gimmick. How so is it now a gimmick if homing attack is. No no everythings a gimmick if homin g attack is a gimmick. That means running and jumping are gimmicks.

@mariomo2000: How so? New Super Mario Bros was revisiting classic Mario gameplay, and Sonic 4 was revisiting classic Sonic gameplay. Games do this all the time- not just Mario and Sonic. For example, Megaman 9.

However, the games start to be more distant from the nes versions, when newer castlevania games. over time, castlevania lost more about hwat made the nes games so great. as for mario and sonic, they have been doing the axact same thing they did way back when. not like symphony of the night with rpg elements like they did with paper mario, but they bring the classics back, better than ever, and with surpassing full fucking force beyond limit.

@SSFaraaz and then theres final fantasy. all though, after all these years, they still stuck with what they did on the olden days as well. turn-based with/without an ATB, & several heroes (exact number depends on game) set out on an adventure to collect something, save the planet from evil, and cast powerful spells to smite your enemies. over time though, the series started to get worse after final fantasy seven. and when FFXIII came, all the fans wished that the past could remain in the present

I think it depends on how it is addressed by the people who look forward to the game, and there is a right and a wrong way to go about it. Sonic 4 is great, not perfect, but tat greatness doesn't negate the things that need to be fixed.
