I just found out about this lecture when looking through the comments on a @MotherJones column that quoted my blog. I was conscious of the attitude, but these videos might irrevocably change me.
What have you to say about the fact that Gauss and other esteemed thinkers, in intellectually rigorous disciplines, thought Hegel an annoying buffoon?
I mean, do you actually know why anyone should use an impenetrable phrase like ''phenomenology of spirit'' to describe a sequence of consequential ideas predicated upon our opinion of an original idea?
Doesn't that annoy you? There is my inital thought about Hegel's orignial idea. However, I'll think no more about it except that Gauss was right
Our tutor spent the better part of last semester trying to wrap our heads around this very topic. This only took 10minutes - say, where do you teach again? Might see if I can get a transfer lol.
