Paramore is all about Hayley Williams, and that shows pretty bad on Riot!, the band's second album. The music is as plain and generic as it gets, sounding like just about every other pop rock/emo band out there right now. Hayley is a decent singer, and the melodies, although nothing groundbreaking, are actually quite decent. At the end of the day this is good music for teens who THINK that they're rockers but are actually good pop kids.

@pyrojessi there could be a variety of reasons as to why there is autotune (i heard it too) i.e. she probably had little/no control over it mtv probably did it, or maybe she was sick or somtin and wanted to cover up because the preformance was live (im just guessin here...) idk if u've seen any other live paramore concerts. if u have, then u'd know that she doesnt use autotune really at all (she really doesnt need it...) :)

@liamwood2 She was signed to Atlantic Records when she was 16. They originally wanted her to be pop singer (without a band, just her) but she said she wanted to be in a band and wanted to do more rock stuff. They had to comply with her because she wasn't going to do it without being in a band.

It's not her fault that Atlantic didn't want to sign the others. At the time, the other band members didn't care if they were getting signed or not. Things change though, I guess...

@musiclover2oo Yes you are, her voice has been dying since 2009, and last year she sounded terrible, her voice is sounding a lot weaker these days and she knows it thats why she doesn't perform some of the more difficult songs, even with the older stuff like misery business, she's just screaming her way through them now. She needs to concentrate more on her tecnique.
