You only get this ending if you choose, and manage to Romance Sakura. There is a different ending for Sumire, Kohran, Maria, Iris and Kana.

As to what is said: The girls give Ohgami a letter from Sakura, in which she says that now that the threat is over she is leaving to train and become stronger (a recurring theme in the game - Sakura keeps telling Ichiro that she thinks she's weaker than the other girls,) Ohgami goes after her in his bike, catches up to her and... happy ending. :)

Since Ogami is no longer the main character (therefore having a higher chance of finally being hooked up with someone) and Sakura is girl #1 by far, this is possible.

I searched some torrent sites and found a few remade version of sw1 on PSP, the graphics should be better but I don't know if it will have the same feel anymore.

If you can download, try to download the japanese voiced with english sub (there are probably no English dubbed anyways), all the voices actress of the game were legendary.

Try to search on mininova or other torrent sites, if the game is on PSP then you might also need an emulator.

There are no fangroups subbing the Sakura Taisen games. Unless you're talking about getting anime subs which is a different story.

Anyways, Sakura Taisen V will be coming to North America. Pass the word to support the distributors and maybe they'll bring the previous four games over too!

It was officially translated and released in my native country by a company called Zeg Entertainment (If I recall correctly), they bought the game from SEGA.

But I guess this game was not popular enough in US to be hosted by a company.

I think Sakura Taisen V is a total misnomer. That game should be called something else because it barely has anything to do with the legends that the previous 4 have created.

SEGA just uses the name to try to sell it better. To the sakura war fans, especially those who have been had the great memories for many many year, that is just an cynical insult.

You from Russia by any chance? I think that's the only country outside Japan that had the ST games distributed to their gaming market.

And the New York Kagekidan was already hinted and planned out from the Sakura Taisen movie. What else was SEGA supposed to call their follow up game? At least they put in a stronger effort with the fifth game being pretty lengthy compared to ST4.

I'm just saying that SW5 is not "Sakura wars" anymore (excuse me for the opinionated comment), it gives people the impression of the previous games but it's a totally different storyline. And heck, I don't even see them use "sakura" in their labels or any advertisements anymore, I doubt that sakura will even exist in the particular settings (except the intro, but that's where SEGA struggles to try to make a connection), although i could be wrong.

She does..In her ending,Maria visits the graveyard of her beloved ceased commander.After leaving her necklace there,she looks at Ohgami happily.They then kiss each other.

I like Sakura with Ogami the best, but Maria is my favorite and I like his interactions with her too. And they don't necessarilly kiss, more like she leans against his shoulder.

It's funny, because in Marias ending I looked at that grave and the dates and words on it kind of made me scratch my head.

If you observe closely,Maria and Ohgami had their face so close together with the positioning of their heads they looked like they were kissing.

I played this game about 7 years ago, and I'm glad that I played it, so many sweet and wonderful memories, in fact, I've gone almost insane for a short period of time for the love of this game, and extremely depressed when I got to the ending knowing that the story ends.

I wish everybody can have a chance to try, although there are plenty of game torrents in my native language, I have no idea if there is any in English.
