@DoomWorldsTV Personally I would use the Cloak and Dagger since you will have to travel long distances while avoiding the attention of players, sentries, etc. But if you are a very professional spy you can probably use the Dead Ringer, but note that the dead ringer's loud uncloak sound might blow your cover.

I use the dead ringer right, and every so often comes a pyro that wants to fire me up and i use the dr, but the fucking pyro wants blood and continues the chase what am I suppose to do stabby?

@ymutoif cornerstabs, stairstabs, and if you see pyro.. don't go at him. spy is a support class, not attack. not a soldier or pyro. so just try to help your team, and not to kill all of enemies by yourself

whats your favorite knife? ive just started using the kunai, because ive been having a lot of fun with the YER as a saharan spy but you can be at a big disadvantage without being able to disguise beforehand. i like that the health boost you get from backstabs allows you to get away and get health or even backstab an engy and have enough health to be able to cloak or disguise in time to sap a sentry before it kills you. your thoughts?

Do spies need to be able to do trick stabs to be effective? Is it possible to be a good spy (hypothetically as effective as you are) by just walking around and stabbing unaware people? Does this even work against higher level people? Srry about all the questions, I was just wondering a lot :P

@nblade66 no because they way he plays, he controls the situation. notice how he goes to corners when he incounters. without corners or hight advantage it would most likely just end up being a normal spy. but since he has more in his arsenal; normal, jump, and corner stabs, he has more oppotunties to kill.

@PhakeJake For one, it's fun :) Feels good to get a bonus for your stabs. If you're in a low spam environment, you can really get on a roll with the overheals and when using the Dead Ringer it can enable you to extend your chainstabs. Basically, if you think you can consistently get 1 stab with only 60 health, it can be a great choice.

@PhakeJake Here's an answer from a less skilled, but still good, player (me): It makes chain stabs easy without having to waste time with Your Eternal Reward trying to get your first disguise. If you can get the first stab consistently, the extra health makes further stabbing more viable and makes you more survivable if you need to duck out.

This has actually been one of the most helpful stabby videos for me just because I was able to see how he reacted when he had a whole team after him. Granted, I still don't think I could pull off some of the stabs that saved him, but the movement, map knowledge, and awareness were all really helpful for me. I don't know why it's necessary to share that, but the man is a beast and that's my way of acknowledging it.

Why do you have the dead ringer out at full health alot? It just makes ppl think you are about to die. I understand a sniper, but why everyone else? Like you can get hit right before you are about to stab someone and not be able to kill them cause of that, i personaly would rather take some damage.

Anyway, you do have a lot of skill with spy. And nicely done.

@jorangut Good question. In this instance I'm in a metal-heavy area and I'm not looking to fool anybody. I'd rather not risk a one-hit death--so long as decloaking isn't a problem, feigning a lot will only aggravate the opposing team, keep them chasing, and allow me to be more mobile. When going for a high value stab, however, my DR will be down.

I have yet to get better with the kunai im still training to get better with the YER.

I always use invis watch, i never actually use the dr or any other watch because i like to pick up ammo and then go invisible.
