  • If I ever have a son, this will be the lullaby I sing for him at night.

  • love her and love the sca!

  • You are true and destined princess and my sword is by your side, I will fight for you in glory till I die! :)

  • These ideals are not made for merely men, but women as well. Chivalry is not chauvinism, it is something we lost and need to regain. I'm not perfect, but I try my best to still uphold those virtues. Remember, it is not only women who are attracted to the virtuous, but men as well, so endeavor to uphold those virtues. Too few still do.

  • Guys, really, does it matter? It's gorgeous music, and if people want to re-create the middle ages they daydreamed about as kids, all power to them! I love writing medieval fantasy. That doesn't mean I want to live in the real middle ages. Let it go.

  • @Wallflower13713 I love legends of heroic knights/princes traveling far and wide to protect the one maiden they love. *sigh* Such wonderful stories.

  • @WhiteKoneko Um, while maidens were parts of those stories, you do remember that the quests were always about something else of importance while the maidens were more of a side story. They were important, to be sure, but hardly central, a secondary motivation.

  • @CountryBoyRoby X3 Oops, forgot about that bit too. But still the stories rock.

  • @WhiteKoneko Yes they do. They remind us of virtue and what we should endeavor to become: honest, loyal, brave, and just. Nobility is to be noble, to be noble is to be virtuous. The aristocracy forgot that without virtue, the title is worthless. Just another name.

  • @CountryBoyRoby Yes, which is sad. As far as I know there is not a single girl out there that wishes for their own knight in shining armor or prince...the opposite holds true with boys I think. There is a lot of life lessons you can learn from those legends too.

  • @WhiteKoneko There are still knights out there today, though they do not wear armor. There are still men out in this hedonistic modern world who believe in and uphold the ideals of justice, loyalty, honesty, and humility. I still believe in fighting for those ideals and still stand for them. Call me old fashioned, but it was how I was raised and I quite prefer it to the modern day 'acceptable' standards.

  • @CountryBoyRoby Agree.

  • @CountryBoyRoby , which is why we need to uphold these traditions!

  • @WhiteKoneko hey. . . I wish that there was a knight in shining armor or prince just for me. and I'm a girl.

  • this medieval re-creation thing sounds like so much fun ^^

i would love to check stuff like that out when i have the time...

all i have to do to check out what the society thing does is to go on the website right?

i don't have much free time at the moment so that would be the best way to look it up right?

  • I am part of the SCA in the group called Clover Shield I fight along side the mercenaries even though im a noble. I prefer the company of the mercenaries rather then the nobles because I know that in the end i have Yak Yak and the others by me in battle. And to say this i'd gladly die in battle at their side then in any other group.

  • @Rilan11 well to actually live in tht period time is different from imagining about it and singing about it. its just cool to romanticize about the medieval ages but i bet it would have sucked to live back them..i mean really they didnt have internet or tv ;p

  • @narniasunflower forget internet and tv, what about modern showers and toilets!?! bullshit, that is what would really suck lol.

  • @Rilan11 You appear to not understand that this is a RECREATION Society that attempts to RE-create some of the aspects of MEDIEVAL society. Please re-read my post and feel free to chack out the Society for Creative Anachronism web page at SCA.org

  • @Rilan11

Heather is addressing her liege-lord in the Society for Creative Anachronism, a medieval re-creation organization which reproduces the Middle Ages as they SHOULD have been , not as they were. The reason he is the "true and destined" Prince is because he has emerged victorious from a Crown Tournament in which he vied with the best warriors of the Kingdom for the right to rule for the succeeding reign.

  • Reminds me of Narnia. So "all of the above!"

  • I can kinda see the whole Jesus thing. LOL. It brings up more for me though knights or mighty warriors.

  • She's part of the Society for Creative Anachronism, a Middle Ages re-creation organization. She wrote this song for the people in the SCA. Look it up on the internet, it's the greatest club ever

  • @nagayorigotaisho Its more of a Society then a club.... hence the name :)

  • Oh heather you know me so well

  • Love this song. Really brings out the idea of knights in shining armor. Remarkable makes me think of Jesus too.

  • I'm not religious (AT ALL), but I also got a bit of a Jesus-theme, even though I doubt she intended it that way.

  • I agree!! haha oh Heather

  • we all know heather won't be happy until she is with king arthur

  • Ha ha.

  • @GinaC1123 Love your comment indeed. :))

  • cool song!!!!!! lol Reminds me something...
